I watched it, you didn't miss much as it was just old clips although it did mention he was working on a new album and living in LA.

Popstar to Operastar starts on Friday 15th January ITV1 9pm and if anyone would like to apply for tickets to see the show live in the studio they are available from SRO audiences. As the Sun article states Darius will be known as Darius Campbell from now on - as some of you already know his full surname is Campbell-Danesh but the article doesn't mention that. There is also a new official website coming soon. I'm not sure B.P but I think that might be a new photo of Darius as I know they've done a new photoshoot recently.

Helen, a Darius fan from Canada asked me to post here that she saw Darius on BBC Canada on 18th December in Hotel Babylon, she said it was a great show and the acting was very good :) She reads buzzjack every day but isn't a member.

Darius is working very hard in the studio right now so please don't feel abandoned, he is just really dedicated to finishing the new album, getting everything in place including changing his management team a few months ago to Crown Music Management who are very good. This Facebook message seems to be a case of someone getting the wrong end of the stick as PiP says. I've asked about it and he's a bit bemused as he didn't mention a show to any one. The lady was telling him about seeing him perform in Chicago previously so possibly there was a misunderstanding but there were no bad manners on his part. He does want fans to know that there should be an exciting announcement in January but details still have to be finalized so that's all he can say for now.

Hi, I've asked Darius about this and it seems it was confirmed very much at the last minute this week. Darius has given me this message for anyone interested in going: Tomorrow night is a Persian night - tickets are open to the public but I'm only dueting with Andy on one song - Stand By Me, which he dueted with Bon Jovi (check out www.andymusic.com)... Andy is the Middle East's Tom Jones, and has sold over 40 million records... I was lucky enough to be at his concert in LA last Saturday at the Kodak Theatre (where the Oscars are held) and he invited me on stage to sing with him! We've become friends and he invited me to duet with him tomorrow night. It's not an official performance but I'd welcome anyone that wants to come! Love D

Yes he was definitely in the studio with Pete and Deni for a week but I don't know whether he was recording or working on songs. If I get any definite news about what's happening with the album or anything else I'll make sure it's on the website. Rachel

I've been told this snippet is in the Daily Star Weekend - Darius Danesh is back in Blighty after spending seven months finishing his third album in LA. The lanky Scot told us: “I'm really excited about this new one so fingers crossed.” We have a feeling that won’t be enough, old boy! I guess he must have said this when he was over here recently, he was working in the studio with Pete and Deni for a week.

The first song was Ae Fond Kiss - I'm just sorting the recording now, hopefully I can get them on the site tomorrow.

I think the series starts in February some time but Darius won't be on until the 5th? episode so he probably won't appear until March.

There's this article in the Sunday Mail today - link Darius's New Pop At Fame Jan 4 2009 DARIUS DANESH will return from Hollywood to launch a fresh assault on the pop charts. The 28-year-old Popstars and Pop Idol star is recording a third album. He revealed his plans while spending Christmas with fiancee Natasha Henstridge, 34, in Canada. Scots singer Darius - whose first single Colourblind went to No.1 - said: "You didn't hear from me much in 2008 but I'll be back in the New Year."

For anyone who is wondering about this, after a lot of thought I've come to the decision to close the forum permanently. There are a few reasons why, one being that I can't commit the time or energy to running the forum as much as I'd like to now and as Darius has whole communities of fans out there on myspace, facebook etc, this seems like a good time to put it to rest whilst he's recording the third album and not in the public eye so much. Darius knows about and fully supports my decision. Thanks to all those who supported it over the years and I hope you'll still check the website for news and updates. Rachel

He wore the black top hat for a couple of scenes in the preview I saw but it didn't look quite right to me.

Sooz at the moment you're still seeing the site on the old server, the site is working ok on the new server which is why most people can see it ok but there are a few DNS problems which are taking a little while to fix which are affecting a handful of people. Hold tight and you should be able to see it ok in a day or two :) R x
