KESHA - RATE. RESULTS.
"We're fallin' in love 'til the sun's comin' up, just livin' the life" 44. Crazy Beautiful Life 7.75 45. Tonight 7.75 46. True Colors 7.70 47. Till The World Ends (Britney Spears featuring Nicki Minaj and Kesha) 7.65 48. Only Wanna Dance With You 7.60 Warrior's Only Wanna Dance With You starts this selection. The song features uncredited vocals from the Strokes' lead singer, Julian Casablancas and samples the Strokes' song, "Last Nite". Two features now: the first is a remix of Britney's Femme Fatale single, alongside Nicki (and a very nasally set of vocals from Brit~) and then her collaboration with Zedd. Tonight from High Road is also out. The album's opening track was planned to be the album's second single, but this was not followed through - it did however become the album's fourth single in Australia. A missed opportunity! Finally a rare sighting from a Cannibal track as Crazy Beautiful Life bows out.

"This song makes me wanna have sex in my car" 49. Gold Trans Am 7.55 50. This Is Me 7.55 51. Holiday Road 7.50 52. LOVE FOREVER. 7.45 53. Eat The Acid 7.45 Gag Order's co-lead single is out first here. Eat The Acid is a darkwave, minimalist, synthing journey of a song and a far distance away from the sound that listeners knew Kesha for. A total statement of a song, it is abstract, jarring and perfectly encapsulates the confusion that its album aims to present. LOVE FOREVER. from period is also out, known mostly for its repetitive ever and ever and ever refrain that seems to go on forever! Two non-album songs now - Kesha's entry into the holiday song pot and a soundtrack song for The Greatest Showman. Warrior has been doing phenomenally in this but it loses one of its songs now as Gold Trans Am drives off.

"I pray when I'm desperate, I'm here on my knees" 54. CATHEDRAL. 7.45 55. Hunt You Down 7.40 56. Blah Blah Blah (feat. 3OH!3) 7.30 57. Let 'Em Talk (feat. Eagles Of Death Metal) 7.30 58. Rainbow 7.25 We lose the title track of Rainbow first. The song is a very important song for Kesha, and one that she replayed on repeat while struggling with life. She wrote the song in rehab and describes it as a promise to herself that things would get better (and they did!). Kesha's second single to ever be released drops out in a mid position - featuring 3OH!3 (yeah me neither x), the song was shadowed by the behemoth that was Tik Tok and the singles that proceeded it too. Hunt You Down from Rainbow plays at the start of the music video for Woman and is Kesha going full on outlaw country. And the final track from PERIOD. is out, a song that tells of Kesha's belief in spirituality and how we can all harnass our powers to become our own saviours.

Past Lives is stunning, I agree! Would've liked it to have been a little higher here. The lyrics, the vocals, the mood, the fact it closes the album - love!

"I keep on falling for you, time after time" 59. Kiss N Tell 7.25 60. Boots 7.25 61. Past Lives 7.20 62. Old Flames (Can't Hold a Candle to You) (feat. Dolly Parton) 7.20 63. Wonderland 7.20 For the first time in a while, Warrior loses some content! Wonderland is one of the album's slower moments and is about Kesha's time before becoming a star, where life was free and wild. The theme of longing for a more peaceful past continues in Past Lives, the final song on the album's tracklist. In the song, Kesha goes back through history, mourning her love. Old Flames and Boots are out from Rainbow - the former is a cover of Dolly Parton's hit. The latter is a Quentin Tarantino inspired country BANGER. Finally, from the debut, Kiss N Tell, Kesha sings of her ex-lovers affair with a, as of yet unnamed pop star

Netflix limited series on Madonna's life announced
Madonna's biopic movie was killed after a "falling out" with Universal Pictures over budget concerns, she says. “I was supposed to make a movie about my life. I worked on my script for two years and spent two years at Universal Studios with the line producers doing budgeting and casting. We had a falling out, me and Universal, regarding budget because I needed — I’ve had an extraordinary life. I’ve had a huge life, so I needed a big budget. You know what I mean? [I tried to find] a way to make it for less money in Serbia. Maybe they just didn’t believe in me. One of their first reactions was, ‘We don’t believe you’d stay in Serbia more than four days.’ And I said, ‘Did you read the script?’ My whole life has been survival. I’m not going there for a holiday. But anyway, I was in limbo when that fell apart, and then Netflix reached out to make a series. That was a whole other long process, because I couldn’t use the script I had with Universal unless I bought it from them for an extortionist’s price, even though I wrote it. Don’t ask.” (via Interview)

"Hate me or you love me, it's really all about you, it's really not about me" 64. Spring Breakers (Charli XCX featuring Kesha) 7.15 65. Hate Me Harder 7.15 66. YIPPEE-KI-YAY. 7.10 67. Crazy Kids (feat. Juicy J) 7.10 68. TOO HARD. 7.05 We lose two tracks from latest album PERIOD. here including, what comes as a big shock for me, YIPPEE-KI-YAY - I know it has its haters but this seems super low for a track that is fairly well loved by many I thought! The first of three Crazy Kids versions drops out, and no surprises, it is the lesser known Juicy J mix that takes the first fall. Hate Me Harder is Gag Order's latest casualty. The track was one of the first songs written for the album and provides a pivotal moment on it where she reflects on the hate she has received in her career. Kesha's collaboration with Charli XCX for her remixed BRAT album is also out.

"I don't know where I'll end up, but I'm laughing" 69. High Road 7.05 70. f*** Him, He's A DJ 7.05 71. Resentment (feat. Sturgill Simpson, Brian Wilson, WRABEL) 7.00 72. Shadow 6.90 73. c u next tuesday 6.80 c u next tuesday was included as a deluxe track on the debut album, but most people got to know it as it was included on the eight-track EP that followed. As it happens, it is the first track from Cannibal to drop out! Another High Road massacre as three more of its tracks fall out. This includes the title track which plays on the idea of figuratively taking the high road in a situation, vs Kesha's version of actually getting high when things get tough. Shadow is about Kesha escaping to the wilderness with her friends to escape the world and the beautiful ballad Resentment, featuring Brian from the Beach Boys, country singer Sturgill Simpson and frequent collaborator WRABEL - the song was the album's second promotional single and was servived to Australian radio as the album's third official single. Finally we also lose a track we got as part of the 15th anniversary edition of the debut album.
