  1. Not hate at all! I love it, I just think many of the eliminated songs are much better and pack a whole lot more punch.
  2. How has Million Reasons lasted longer than like the last 5/6 elims!?
  3. It's a shame for all the other artists on the line-up that would've benefited from the huge gig (exposure and income).
  4. The whole festival has been cancelled now~
  5. I'd say musically he is most certainly headliner worthy. Even last year he was in the top 25 most streamed artists of the world and his back catalogue is consistently streamed phenomenally (Graduation was in the top 5 rap albums of last year, having been released 2 decades ago!). His legacy is undeniable and he still streams incredibly well - there aren't many artists with a career as illustrious as his, still making music. For me, he is the greatest living male artist musically - his albums speak for themselves. As a person, his actions recently have been harrowing and I will never ever defend them. I have been able to separate the artist from the art because at least his first 8 albums remain some of my favourite collections ever made but as a person I can't defend him. Being a huge Kanye music fan puts me in such a unique position because while I stream his music constantly I have to also resent, disagree and hate him as a person - his bipolar condition will have had an impact on his actions but it is not an excuse and free-pass by any means. It has also led to some of his most creative music outputs - I so wish he channelled his pain and hurt into that so much more than he did. It is correct for sponsors to pull out and take a stand and given it looks like it is to be cancelled, I think it is for their best because of how triggering it would've been to see him headlining so soon after the comments. I agree it will take a lot more to reach forgiveness - I hope he starts the long, winding journey to that and sticks to it.

  24. I've listened and I have thoughts Firstly, I have to totally commend and appreciate the sheer artistic vision behind the album. I love an album with a story, a concept, an idea that is followed through. The spoken elements, the big band-ness of it all, the live performance nature some of the songs have and the conversational side of it is a cute concept. Does it always work? No - I think some of the tracks really get hindered because they become quite trite in the use of the spoken-word and story telling nature. I did - dare I say it - cringe at some moments throughout. I get her pouring her thoughts out into the album but some of it just seemed so overdone and saccharine, I just couldn't enjoy. FIN. is probably one of the worst things I have heard - yes it is a celebration of who worked on the project, but this is still a project, an album at the end of the day and so to have to listen to all of that is torture. Include it on the credits of the physical album please! The song triggers me, omg I need to calm down It seems like a "really good on paper" idea~ but nah, horrendous. I also hated Beware.. The South London Lover Boy :') that awful opening made me cringe so hard. That being said, some of the moments of the album blew me away. Click Clack Symphony is out of this world phenomenal and Raye at her best (Escapism vibes!). I Know You're Hurting similarly hit me for 10 - properly floored me with the emotions. There were a few other moments that I really enjoyed. I feel like taking the best elements of the album and making a shorter EP of sorts? I do think however due to its bold, unapologetic nature and unconventional style it will pick up all the awards and recognition and good for it! While it doesn't always work for me, as I opened this post, I commend her for doing it and sticking with it and being true to her artistry~
  25. I listened to this earlier and then.. immediately replayed it straight after. It really hit me quite hard. Not sure it will get much love because of how different it is, but Palaces is my favourite - such a bold, powerful, vulnerable song, I was transfixed listening to it. Really solid album - I am glad I gave it a chance!
