The first of three Crazy Kids versions drops out, and no surprises, it is the lesser known Juicy J mix that takes the first fall. Hate Me Harder is Gag Order's latest casualty. The track was one of the first songs written for the album and provides a pivotal moment on it where she reflects on the hate she has received in her career. Kesha's collaboration with Charli XCX for her remixed BRAT album is also out.

As it happens, it is the first track from Cannibal to drop out! Another High Road massacre as three more of its tracks fall out. This includes the title track which plays on the idea of figuratively taking the high road in a situation, vs Kesha's version of actually getting high when things get tough. Shadow is about Kesha escaping to the wilderness with her friends to escape the world and the beautiful ballad Resentment, featuring Brian from the Beach Boys, country singer Sturgill Simpson and frequent collaborator WRABEL - the song was the album's second promotional single and was servived to Australian radio as the album's third official single. Finally we also lose a track we got as part of the 15th anniversary edition of the debut album.

How did everyone get on in Regulation M-A? I had a very slow start, found it very difficult to get used to my team but ended up smashing it by the end! I run a Kangaskhan x Floette team (with Incin, Sinistcha (my absolute fave for online battling), Pelliper and Basc). Sticking with this team for the start of M-B now before I consider who I am switching for.

Summer 6.70 A massacre for the High Road album as it loses 4 tracks! In this set is the closing track of the album, Summer. Little Bit of Love received a music video and a remix too but didn't serve as an official single. Cowboy Blues is a big favourite of Kesha herself and a song that she said she was very proud of. My Own Dance is the final High Road track in this set and it was the first pop song she wrote for the album and it served as the album's first promo single too. We also say goodbye to Stephen from the debut a song about a guy that Kesha would stalk but who would never call her back.

This is a nice change of pace for her and I like it but not really essential Tove. The vocal effects draw me out of it at times.

Could the reduction in streams be to do with the World Cup anyway? Millions of people will either be watching games live or rewatching the matches/highlights the day after which in turn means they are not streaming music like they may usually have been doing

Father Daughter Dance is stunning Can't believe Fine Line is out too - a lead single dropping out this low is crazy.

BFF, as the title suggests, is a love letter between Kesha and Wrabel, while Father Daughter Dance is Kesha exploring her life without a father. She explains that she had never planned to sing of this subject matter but the words just flowed out of her as she opened her unconcious mind. Backstabber from the debut had a recent resurgance thanks to TikTok but it wasn't enough to propel it to the top half of this rate. And remarkably, we also lose a lead-single of sorts! Released as a co-lead single with Eat The Acid, Fine Line introduced us to her Gag Order era as she braved it all with regards to her thoughts following on from the lawsuit battle.

It is really interesting to see the discourse surrounding this online. I have seen a fair few comments in support of the move from parents of children, and then much more disdain towards it from people that are not parents. As a teacher of children aged 11 and younger, many of whom spend 99% of their free-time online, and the sheer number of issues social media causes for them, I can see both sides of the argument. Growing up without social media it is easy to see the benefits of having a youth without it. But then most children and teenagers do not know any different so the shift will be difficult for them. I hope there are concrete plans to this rollout that support the transition of young people away from social media into other avenues. Imagine if the government invested money in extra-curricular activities for young people instead, or further funding for after school clubs etc... I think there has to be give AND take, not just take.

MAYHEM has now moved 8 million equivalent album units worldwide, according to the latest estimates. It is the 4th best-selling album of 2025, behind Bad Bunny’s Debí Tirar Más Fotos, Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl, and the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack.

Another brilliant album. I prefer the more upbeat tracks on early listens but as a whole package it is definitely super strong. My early favourite is u + me = <3 - that chorus is everything Also, I've always liked drop dead, but giving it even more time with this album and it is shooting up in my affections even more. Hopefully the era doesn't die with the release of the album and we get more singles in the future, there are a fair few potentials to choose from!
