I prefer Wuthering Heights! I think it has such sublime highs and as a package it works beautifully for me. I v like Music, Fashion, Film but I love vulnerable Charli more it seems!

"You better move you better dance" 04. Timber (Pitbull featuring Kesha) 9.65 The highest non-Kesha lead single! Timber has done phenomenally in this rate, almost amassing a perfect score, but 3 solo songs have pipped it to the post. It was the lead single from Pitbull's Meltdown EP. Originally intended for Rihanna(!), it is now undeniably Kesha's song too - her vocal delivery suits the chorus so well and the country, pop vibe is perfectly her. The pair performed the song at the AMAs in 2013 but Kesha was not in the right state for it with doctors stating it was lucky she didn't "drop dead" during the performance. Despite all of this, the song went on to become a global smash hit amassing huge Youtube views and sales across the globe.

Confessions - The Film to sweep it all. I woke up to see she was the most nominated artist and thought it must be some sort of fever dream but so happy to see it is true. What a legend!

The music video has just elevated the song even more for me And the final minute and a half goes OFF. so glad he didn't end it at 2:30 and instead gave us a full experience with mood shifts and a beautiful climax.

It's a celebratory song about living every day and night as if it's your last because you never know what turns life will take. It also has a message of staying young at heart. After time travelling and finding a more spiritual side to the world, Kesha demanded that her new era be a change of pace from what came before it - she wanted positive, raw, vulnerable songs about the magic of life. The song did face some backlash of sorts however. Following on from the Sandy Hook Elementary Shooting, in the US the song was pulled from some radio stations which ultimately stifled its exposure and magic somewhat - at the time it was ranked #3 on the American airplay charts, but dropped drastically, losing 19 million listeners! Now however, the song has regained some of its original magic and remains a fan favourite as this rate has proven!

I sent this to my bestie yesterday: This subject matter is quite rare in queer music and I am so grateful he is exploring it. I love a genre shift artist and this not what I was expecting from him but I am here for it. Probably will be more album opener vibes but I am totally intrigued for what else is to come from the album now.
