Well would The Sats even last till 18 top ten hits like the Sugababes without being dropped? I would think no. I would also like to see The Sats survive a fiasco similar to 4.0 and still be a success. Oh wait, nobody in the UK even knows all the names of the group members in The Sats and people expect them to be a success internationally? They are not the Spice Girls or Sugababes. Deluded loons I tell you...

Sweet 7 still had 3 top 10 smashes. Something The Sats can't even achieve anymore.

The Sweet 7 Era - A flop or a success?
Sugababes are still a leading a girl group despite Sweet 7 being less successful than their previous albums. The fact that they were still able to score THREE top ten hits and not be dropped speaks enough for the era's success. Especially considering the 4.0 fiasco. Lets compare it to other girl bands, The Saturdays or GA can't score 3 top 10 hits from a single album, other major girl groups like All Saints with Studio 1 for example flopped and got dropped following group splitting and a similar like fiasco plus lots of bad press much like Sweet 7. FOR EXAMPLE: If GA were to comeback with an album that did not feature Cheryl Chav Cole, would they score 3 top ten hits and avoid being dropped with the album's inevitable poor sales? No. I think I have made my point.

The Sweet 7 Era - A flop or a success?
If the era was not a success, they would have not had THREE top 10 hits, they would have not been able to form a new group AND hold that group together under bad press. If the era was not a success, the group would have been dropped. Please remember we are talking about the Sugababes, not The Saturdays. So there is going to be a lot of anticipation to see if Sugababes can redeem themselves with the upcoming era after the bad reception of the last, unlike The Sats who bring poor albums out every year that nobody could be bothered in buying...

If "they have the material and fans" then why have they not touched any of the international charts yet? Because it's The Saturdays, duh! Only Sats Loons would be capable of dreaming that group will be a success internationally...

The Sweet 7 Era - A flop or a success?
The singles were a success, the album was obviously was not. But it was inevitable the album would not be a success considering the conditions and contributing factors. The next album will obviously do a lot better though.

Hilarious, to think some blind Sats Loons actually believe the group will have success in Europe  They are most certainly not the Sugababes who've had strings of hits in Europe, Australia etc. 'Hole in the Head' even charted on the US Hot 100. Success only The Saturdays can dream of...

The Sweet 7 Era - A flop or a success?
It was not a flop. 3 Top 10 smashes from 1 album is something Girls Aloud and The Saturdays can't even achieve anymore. This also against all the negativity they were faced with after Keisha left, this era was actually remarkable. The group held it together and proved they are still relevant and can still smash on the charts even with a highly controvertial member change. The album would have done a lot better had 'Wait For You' been released as the 4th single or in place of 'About A Girl', and that was the mistake of the label. With no 4th single, the amount of confusion surrounding its release date and all the unnecessary and bias negative reviews it had, the album actually did better than I had expected...

'Shout Shout' could actually do well in the UK, the UK wet their pants usually over cover or sample singles  'Shout Shout' has really grown on me as well even though the sample makes me want to cringe. Like Blizzard says though 'Hush Hush' is still the obvious choice

You overestimated both's sales a bit. :P Happiness has sold 352,2k to date and Good Girl is on 75,7k so far.

Hush Hush is her best song and will sell the album and convince many to buy it IMO. If she wants to ruin this era she should release anything else other than Hush Hush as the 3rd single

I think she knows that but then again decent UK promo slots are very limited at the moment. Hopefuly the album will get a re-release with a new urban sounding or US appealing lead single. She really needs to break America. She's signed with Roc Nation after all yet she's not bothered in the US, her home country and claim to fame, makes no sense...

She better announce it as the 3rd single and release it ASAP. Album is now #20 in midweeks, very worrying...

the release and promotion strategy of this album has been a disaster. what promotion has she done in the uk no wonder it is dropping like a stone in the midweeks. why is she releasing the album before good girl in australia. its one big mess
