Normani & Calvin Harris - Checklist / Slow Down
Calvin’s pushing the David Guetta remix of “Promises” out tomorrow at the moment, so thinking we won’t get this just yet - excited nonetheless.
-
Mabel - One Shot
This song has grown on me massively, much like “Ring Ring” did - I hope it can hit the T40.

Spotify Chart Thread 2018 [V]
Well I for one would welcome "Happier" sneaking a week in at #1 officially (w/c 5th October); in case Little Mix's comeback is a #1 debut.
-
2018 BPI Certifications
Yes @ Jack Garratt getting a BPI certified single, hoping some of his other tracks aren't too far behind (e.g., "The Love You're Given").
-
Clean Bandit - What Is Love?
What an amazing tracklist, really looking forward to this. I echo all the other comments about there being no way this will beat The 1975 to the #1 spot; this current era seems like The 1975's biggest yet - I'm expecting fairly big numbers for this climate.

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 28th September 2018
Lots of potential future T40 hits released this week then, would be great to have Lady Gaga, Sigala, Rak-Su, Olly Murs, and Chic all charting!
-
MØ - Forever Neverland
“Imaginary Friend” is amazing - shame nothing from this era looks set to deliver her another UK chart hit. Also, lucky Japan; they get “Kamikaze”, “Final Song” and “Nights With You” as digital bonus tracks.
-
Major Lazer ft. RAYE & Mr Eazi - Tied Up
Hoping too many cooks don’t spoil the broth on this one a la “Let Me Live” (Rudimental et al).

Buzzjack's Track of The Week
Haven't heard them all yet, but Au/Ra's "Emoji" sounded great on first listen - so I've cast my vote there this week.
-
Mercury Prize 2018
In the back of my mind something was telling me Lily Allen would nab it, but good for Wolf Alice! I had placed a bet on Everything Everything to win - that performance of "Night of the Long Knives" was just fantastic.

Future Hits?
Both have been certified Silver and hit the T100, I'd class them both as 'hits'. "Natural" looking good to out-do both of these in terms of chart performance in any case.
-
Panic! at the Disco - Pray for the Wicked
I know "High Hopes" is smashing right now, so doubt they'll move on just yet; but what do people reckon/want them to follow as single #3? I'm hoping for "Roaring 20s" (just for something different on the radio) or "One of the Drunks".
-
AlunaGeorge - Champagne Eyes
AlunaGeorge are up their with UK acts that deserve to be doing wayyy better than they are (up there with NAO, Ray Blk and Mura Masa) - “Supernatural”, and “Turn Up the Love” were gems; excited for the new project!
-
Shawn Mendes - Nervous | Promo single
“Youth” sounds like it could be a huge hit, they need to move on from whatever they were trying to do with single #2 and push it.

Future Hits?
Getting Foster the People/M83 vibes from that lovelytheband track, here for that becoming a hit here! It's a shame that the previous LSD releases did nothing, but glad to see "Thunderclouds" looking to at least become a T40 hit. After three under-the-radar releases, Silk City's release with Dua Lipa on Friday should mark their first T40 hit too (if not T10/#1 contender, depending on sound of course).

Rudimental - Toast To Our Differences
"Let Me Live" suffered from having too many cooks I think, plus it was nowhere near as good as they'd hyped it up to be (I believe "best one yet" was thrown around a little in the run up to its release). Fingers crossed the next single can deliver, else this era is really going to tank.
-
Sigala - Just Got Paid
I know there's artwork and all, but are Meghan and French 100% confirmed? Sigala's teasing the announcement of the other guests still on his Twitter...

Q4 Predictions 2018
Having listened to the album through twice, I'm not sure there's a 'massive' hit in the waiting (though "Breathin'" has already shown great signs that it'll be a decent third single) - "No Tears Left to Cry" is just too good to top.
-
Ed Sheeran - No.6 Collaborations Project
Well I'm here for a 2019 update of the No. 5 Collaborations Project EP, that was my first introduction to Sheeran and I really rate it. Would like to see him collaborate with UK acts though vs. US rappers - I have a feeling he will so long as the label don't have too much direction in this 'experimental' release.
-
Stefflon Don - Secure
The Future collaboration sounds like it could/should be a huge streaming-assisted hit, I really hope they start pushing it soon.
-
Alesso f/ Conor Maynard - Remedy
The crowd don't seem too enthused by it. I must say I'm intrigued to hear the final version though.
-
David Guetta - 7
A real mish mash of sounds then by the looks of it - intrigued to hear the Jess Glynne and Stefflon Don collaboration though!
-
Buzzjack's Track of The Week
Only BMTH gets a vote from me this week. Just listened to the Derulo et al track, and meh - I wonder if it'll be a hit here in the UK (at this point, I'm thinking it won't).
-
Buzzjack's Track Of The Week
The 1975 and Calvin Harris/Sam Smith are the standouts for me - though I'm enjoying Ariana Grande, Marshmello/Bastille, and Jess Glynne too.
-
iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 17th August 2018
I think I'm most impressed by how quickly Jess Glynne has risen into the T10 this week, I really thought that she was going to struggle this era.
