Yes @ Panic! At the Disco looking to re-peak AGAIN, I am beyond thrilled at how much of a hit this has become!

Only BMTH gets a vote from me this week. Just listened to the Derulo et al track, and meh - I wonder if it'll be a hit here in the UK (at this point, I'm thinking it won't).

The 1975 and Calvin Harris/Sam Smith are the standouts for me - though I'm enjoying Ariana Grande, Marshmello/Bastille, and Jess Glynne too.

Biggest shocks of the week for me at the moment are 1) Jess Glynne looking to debut within the T15 (I know she's a pretty big artist, but was there much hype for this single?), and 2) Stefflon Don's mixtape debuting at the lower end of the T40 (I was sure this would get decent streaming numbers, but guess it's been lost amongst Ariana and Bugzy Malone in the new releases on streaming platforms).
  5. I think I'm most impressed by how quickly Jess Glynne has risen into the T10 this week, I really thought that she was going to struggle this era.

Yes @ Calvin/Sam going straight to A-list - I really hope this'll be another huge #1 for them both, it certainly sounds like it could be. Disappointed not to see Jungle, Mura Mura, Robyn, and The 1975 on the playlist. Boo @ Jorja Smith revisiting ANOTHER previous single again, though I guess she might as well while the interest is there.
  7. Excited to see what happens this week - "Promises" by Calvin Harris & Sam Smith sounds huuuuuge.
  8. I'm thinking this might be a bit of a low-key dance track from Calvin, and so might not debut all that high. This said, "One Kiss" wasn't THAT immediate a hit for me, but listening back to it now I can't believe I ever thought that. Expecting a T10 debut on Spotify on day 1, T5 debut on the chart (40-60k) - if it's good then hopefully it'll reach #1.
  9. 69. The 1975 - TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME That's three for three on the great singles from this upcoming album, excited to hear more!
  10. "Eastside" is a great launch to his own solo career, I really hope the other tracks deliver (he said there are many more to come when speaking to Annie Mac the other week, including one with Calvin Harris on vocals).

Nicki's doing just fine for a streaming only album that was only released Friday evening. I'm hoping that all three tracks can stay T40 in any case, and that "Bed" somehow manages to pick up a bit more steam on streaming and beat its previous peak of #20. Here for George returning to #1 too - all the talk of him burping at 59 seconds into the song will surely have helped, as people would listen/watch the Youtube video to hear for themselves.
  12. I am here for this. Sam's vocals work brilliantly on dance tracks (see Disclosure x 2, Naughty Boy, plus any of his tracks' dance remixes) - fingers crossed it's a goodun'!
  13. They've missed a trick by not releasing this over the Ibiza weekend/the week after when all the highlights are being played though, which is a shame. They should definitely still release, as R1 would undoubtedly playlist it + help it chart.

This better get streamed to hell and give Don another couple of T40 hits to her name - "Senseless" peaking at #65 (so far) is a crime!

Votes for Gorgon City, Mura Masa, Robyn, Silk City, and Zayn, but only because I haven't heard most of the others just yet. I hope Gorgon City push this new single though - much more radio/chart friendly that some of the other recent tracks they've been putting out.
  16. I think he could easily score a hit again in this climate, but might need to jump on a feature (e.g., for Steel Banglez, or another popular UK rapper) beforehand. It'd need to be something like what's out there at the moment too, rather than "Spaceship" or "Bright Lights" (his last two T10 singles, that were never released on a studio album).
  17. +20 - Panic! At the Disco - High Hopes +19 - RAYE - Friends +18 - Drake - Don't Matter to Me +17 - Benny Blanco - Eastside +16 - Au/Ra & Camelphat - Panic Room +15 - The 1975 - Love It If We Made It +14 - Loud Luxury - Body +13 - Martin Garrix - Ocean +12 - Rudimental & Major Lazer - Let Me Live +11 - Ariana Grande - God is a Woman +10 - Tyga - Taste +09 - The Chainsmokers - Side Effects +08 - DJ Khaled - No Brainer
  18. They are all over with the exception of Liam it seems - he’s the only one releasing music at the moment that can hit the T40.
  19. New single from Kojo Funds (of "Check" (with Raye) and as a featured artist on Mabel's "Finders Keepers" fame), featuring big-in-the-grime-game rapper Bugzy Malone. Sounds pretty unique (at least from my perspective, as someone who dips in and out of grime), I wonder if it'll be a hit. TBvLgfdJkuo Thoughts?
  20. While I'm not aware of any 'big' releases, there's still some great music out (well, both of these can out this evening). Mura Masa & Nao - "Complicated"Kojo Funds - "Who Am I (feat. Bugzy Malone)" :D

  22. It was also used on Love Island last night too, which we’ve seen does have some impact. In any case, I really hope it can become a hit.
  23. No Tears > God is a Woman, by a long shot.
  24. Heard + love: Everything Everything, Florence and the Machine, Jorja Smith, Lily Allen, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Wolf Alice Heard: Arctic Monkeys, Everything is Recorded, Novelist Not heard: King Krule, Nadine Shah (in fact, I'd never even heard of her), Sons of Kemet (again, hadn't heard of them) Hoping for Everything Everything or Lily Allen to win, though at the end of the day just being nominated is the achievement (though sad times for George Ezra, Liam Gallagher, Jon Hopkins, and Tom Misch).

Fingers crossed new Jack and new Laura are the next to go.
