Rachel Stevens - More, More, More
Time to get the cameras rolling and get the action going, as Rachel's cover of the Andrea True Connection hit from 1976 is next on her singles reissues at midnight. Sadly appears to be no sign of the CD1 B-Side "Shoulda Thought Of That" (unless they're saving it for one of the other reissues?)

East 17 - Stay Another Day
I mean definitely more so if it was released either late November or December. But I genuinely miss those days when you had pop bands going for a slightly wintry theme with a ballad near to Christmas! Of course people will berate that they get annual replay on what music channels are left now but it's no worse than passive streams of Mariah and Wham for nigh on six / seven weeks.

Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy
The trailer has landed. Out Valentine's Day next year: fc5zbSCgudA So looking forward to this! I loved the last film.

Boybands Forever
Saw Duncan James and Antony Costa from Blue talking to Lorraine about this on her show yesterday. Will be watching of course. Will be interesting viewing, dare I say poignant as well in light of the last month.

Artists you liked before they were cool
I think Sia probably fits into this category for me. I loved her first single "Taken for Granted" and also the stuff she did with Zero 7, and "Breathe Me". So when she took off about 10 years ago with all the David Guetta stuff I was a bit non-plussed!

dearALICE - Made In Korea: The K-Pop Experience OST
So the EP has apparently gone to #1 in the Soundtrack Chart! Surprised it didn't count for the main chart but great achievement anyway. I've had it on inside the last week and it's a really fun, catchy set of songs.

JLS
Out today. Have to say the Unplugged versions of Everybody In Love and Crazy For You are beautiful, I'm surprised they've not done an acoustic album yet. New edit of the Beat Again video is also out today, intercut with behind the scenes and never before seen B-roll footage from the original film reels: wAjonB0Z6zs

Westlife
The debut album turned 25 this week: I have to say I'm surprised their back catalogue hasn't had the 4k restoration / vinyl pressing / singles on Spotify treatment yet? Unless they're saving it for the 30th I suppose whilst Mark still rests up and recovers.

Geri Timeline
Lift Me Up was released 01/11/1999 - other than that looks good!

S Club: General Discussion
Jo has just appeared as a guest with Nicky Byrne (from Westlife, obviously) on his new podcast:

East 17 - Stay Another Day
I'd be swapping out "Thunder" for "If You Ever" with Gabrielle personally...

Rachel Stevens - Negotiate With Love
Two, three: Rachel's lead single from her second album Come & Get It and her fourth solo top 10 hit from the spring of 2005 is out in a new digital bundle from midnight. First time to streaming for the B-side "Queen" and also the promo only mixes:

dearALICE - Made In Korea: The K-Pop Experience OST
Just seen their performance on Strictly. Actually really enjoyed it! Might have to investigate this EP. Nice to see an all singing and dancing boyband out there again, good luck to them :)

Who 'fell off' the hardest and fastest?
They've not been mentioned thus far but for me B*Witched are a prime contender for this. First four singles all went straight in at number one - a record no other girl group has achieved before or since - but then the six month layoff between "Blame It On The Weatherman" hitting the top in March 1999 and them returning with "Jesse Hold On" in the October whilst they focused on cracking America was basically all that was required to lose the momentum they had in the UK on their second album.

East 17 - Stay Another Day
1994's Christmas number one - and still one of the best, in my honest opinion - is celebrating its 30th anniversary next month with a special 7" vinyl reissue on "ice clear" vinyl:

Pop Music Activism has confirmed there's more to come: @1852143136505762255

The Corrs
My Talk on Corners vinyl arrived the other day - looks stunning! Just lucky I had a gift card from my birthday leftover to use towards it otherwise full price might have been a bit much. I think I'll be waiting for Borrowed Heaven and White Light in New Year sales.

JLS
Nice couple of retrospective reels they've done for their Instagram recently, including some never before seen B-roll footage from the Beat Again video shoot! They're also doing an album signing at HMV Westfield London on 11th November - wristbands have already sold out for it!
-
Rachel Stevens - So Good
Looks like Rachel's solo back catalogue is about to get a long overdue tidy up on Spotify! "So Good", her second single from her second album "Come & Get It" - and her fifth and last top 10 hit to date - is out in a new reissued EP on streaming tomorrow, with many of the promo only remixes making their digital debut!

Christmas music: When do you start listening?
Exactly. I've got my own personal one which I update or add to every year with the songs I love. No Mariah whatsoever on mine!

Christmas music: When do you start listening?
Late November for me as well, I tend to get my decorations up either third or last weekend of November!

Scissor Sisters
The debut album is reissued on green vinyl on 22nd November: https://recordstore.co.uk/products/scissor-...-green-vinyl-lp Already seeing both Kylie Minogue and Olly Murs a couple of days after the O2 date of this tour but the thought of the debut being performed live in full is too good to resist, even without Ana Matronic not being there! And Alison Goldfrapp supporting as well

Emma Bunton - 'Free Me'
So cute that she's kept the dress after all these years! Bless her 😍 Not getting my hopes up by any means but really secretly hoping we're getting the vinyls in the near future(!)

Alexis Strum - Karma
_Nj9bu9Bc7s Not sure how familiar Buzzjack will be with this lady but I'll give a short precis for you... Alexis Strum was a singer-songwriter from Essex who recorded two albums in the early 00s for different record labels; the first, for Warner Records, was called Addicted, and had a lead single of the same name that was due for release in May 2003. A small misunderstanding from the team at Lorraine Kelly's show saw her performance on there cancelled at the last minute and her record deal thus ended before she even got music out (although two of the songs from that album, "Still Standing" and "Nothing Good About This Goodbye" both found homes on albums for Kylie Minogue and Rachel Stevens respectively). She then recorded another album, this time for Mercury Records, in 2005, called Cocoon, which had a couple of singles - "Bad Haircut" and "It Could Be You" - but again, her deal ended before the album ever saw the light of day. Fast forward to last year and, spearheaded by the brilliant Pop Music Activism account, both her unreleased albums finally got a digital - and in the case of Cocoon, a vinyl and CD - release, and she's had over half a million streams on Spotify. Today she released her first brand new single in 18 years, called "Karma". She's also playing a show at The Cavendish Arms in South London on 18th November, with an album to follow next year. It's such a good song this!

Natalie Imbruglia - London - Live
I was at this very show and it was a great night so I will definitely be pre-ordering!
