The show has been confirmed for The London Palladium on Saturday 13th April next year! Tickets on O2 presale tomorrow, Live Nation presale on Thursday and general sale on Friday, all at 10am on their respective days.

These extracts from the autobiography of the late Jazz Summers, who managed Eternal when it was just a duo in 1999, has gone viral on Twitter. It is delicious as you would expect: @1706258677299081495

Easther and Vernie firing Kellé by fax 25 years ago and feigning innocence about it when confronted about it on their series of The Big Reunion means them being exposed as transphobes is not surprising. Good on Lou and Kellé for doing what is right though. And I hope Mighty Hoopla etc book them both next year to really rub salt in the wounds of the Bennett sisters.

To be honest, it's not the first time a show like this has made him cannon fodder to mask wider problems. The X Factor and Simon Cowell did exactly the same to him when he hosted it with Caroline Flack in 2015. There were much wider issues than him being the host but they were happy to feed him to the lions. But he'll get back up again and prove these new brooms wrong. He always does. With the Take That tour next year, he's got the joy of going out and doing what he loves which is touring to look forward to, but without the same hassles of his own tours tied to it. I dare say he'll probably use this time that's now unexpectedly free for the rest of the year to just relax and enjoy settling into married life with Amelia. What I say for next year: get a killer new album recorded, sign with BMG (who he should have gone with anyway) and find his own "Padam Padam" moment.

Glad we're getting this one next! Firstly for "Someday, Someway" (one of my favourite B-Sides, Jon sounds amazing on it). But secondly for the Eiffel 65 remix! I think I'm right in saying that Eiffel 65 themselves reached out to do it for them as a peace offering for keeping "S Club Party" off number one with "Blue (Da Ba Dee)"?
  6. I've just had an email from HMV about the whole pressing error debacle. I've emailed the supplier for a replacement copy so at least that's taken care of.
  7. I managed to get a ticket in the pre-sale this morning. Not been to Koko in years so this should be fun!
  8. It was here around the time "Don't Say Love" came out.
  9. Oh dear at the midweek 😕 Shame because Lei-Lei's stuff has been fire so far, visually and sound wise, and nowhere near the ground swallowing experience of Jesy's material. I'm wondering if any of the girls are even gonna get to an album at this stage - certainly with major label backing? Suddenly the rumours about Perrie and Jade's stuff being held back by label heads dragging their heels that was on Popbitch a while ago is carrying a lot more credence.
  10. As they appear to be going in release month order, I think it'll probably be one or all of their November singles - "Never Had A Dream Come True", "Have You Ever" or "Alive" we get next 👍🏻
  11. Don't know if it's been mentioned already but someone on Popjustice met them at Salford Quays when they were on BBC Breakfast last week and Rachel confirmed is on the setlist 😍😍😍

They've added a second Cambridge date to their tour and also "Soundcheck Parties" as add ons to the dates already on sale. Judging by the comments on here, it's not just Busted who are pure having their fans by the short and curlies for VIP packages:

Good topic this 👍🏻 I'd say Blue and Busted are prime contenders for this thread. With the former, it's generally likely to be "All Rise", "Fly By II" or "One Love" you hear on the radio these days, rather than any of their actual number ones. Same with Busted, "Year 3000" is their signature song and it's none of their four number ones.
  14. I don't even have M&G or VIP for The O2 on Sunday but I'm annoyed for you both! Glad you got a refund OK Slayer. All of a sudden, were it not for seeing Hanson I'd be binning this off. I don't admire the way they've conducted themselves on this at all.
  15. An arena tour for next year in September will be going on sale later this month: So excited to hear this! Will definitely be going.
  16. It's cyclical really. It's no different to when the charts of the 90s were littered with songs sampled from the 60s or 70s. Just slow news journalism.

The trouble is record companies - some more than others, it has to be said - are still expecting the same return on investments with an album like it's still 2003. It's not. I think the current BPI Award system doesn't help matters. When was the last time anyone outside of the quadrant of Ed Sheeran, Adele, Lewis Capaldi, Taylor Swift etc released an album that sold over 300k? The benchmarks for silver, gold and platinum need to be adjusted. Compared to the singles chart and how quickly they moved to incorporate streaming, how much effort has been put into the sanctity of a full body of work such as an album which has just dwindled and dwindled, to the point where you can get a number one album on as little as 10k sometimes? Sam's built up enough of a profile and fanbase and goodwill to see him through to a good career, regardless of what route he takes to get his music out there going forward, whether that's self releasing or with another label. But like Olly Murs did his most recent album with EMI last year, that went to number one true, but it didn't have anywhere near the impact of previous albums he did, and now he's gonna be looking for another deal now that's ended. If the music industry is serious about rejuvenating the album and making it make sense to all generations, including the streaming market, then they need to show it.
  18. I was at the Rough Trade signing today as well. Honestly as lovely as I hoped she would be! If any of you ever get a chance to meet Dannii then do, she's such a sweetie!
  19. Six more UK and Ireland dates - including The O2 next September - have been added. On sale next week: @1697611864375513474
  20. Jesus Christ. It gets worse. Looking at the comments on this and Twitter, they're clearly not ones for reading the room 🙄
  21. As I said. I reckon someone somewhere cocked up the contingency planning big time. It still doesn't excuse the fact they have basically not acknowledged the cancellation at all.
  22. Lo and behold, they're doing an album signing in Newcastle:
  23. I did wonder if it'd be weekly or not. But at least with S Club Party finally up we do know the reissue schedule is back on, however fast or slow it happens!
  24. Already prefer this immensely to "Padam Padam". Love the deep 90s house feel to it!
  25. The guys are on BBC Radio 2 on Saturday morning with Richie Anderson (standing in for Dermot O'Leary): https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001pyg0 Aston has a new single "Right Here" out tomorrow and Oritsé also has a new single out next Friday called "Showdown"!
