Really sorry if this is an obvious question - and I did read the Upgrade and Downtime thread and the fact it's not BBCode now - but I'm having real trouble embedding YouTube videos into posts. Not sure what I'm doing wrong - please can someone help?

New interview with Scott on his podcast A to Z of Men that he hosts with his friend Chris Brooks talking about the reunion. Turns out we (partially) have Olly Murs to thank for his management reaching out to him and getting on board to get this tour under way! https://open.spotify.com/episode/0C5REJqrFgXIQPR6DUkOw0?si=gWq54NE0Qj-Ewg9Zw-djAA

He opted out of The Big Reunion when they did it because he wanted to stay out the public eye. This explains it a bit more: l7cr5x4ciR8 However, according to this new company registration it looks like all of them are on board for this(!)

So it appears Five are on the verge of making an announcement next week. Their Instagram profile has wiped - as indeed has Scott, Ritchie and even Abz (née Abs)' ones (Sean doesn't have one, and of course we all know about J). I wonder what they're about to announce? https://itsfiveofficial.com/

I mean it's hard to say at this stage, but I do think BMG is where he should have gone on the last album. Mainly because they handle the distribution side of things more and make those more accessible whilst allowing more creative and promotional freedom to the artist, which was something that EMI definitely didn't give him on Marry Me. Obviously Kylie Minogue is a good example of someone who BMG have done wonders with - her last three albums have all been released with them and all have gone to number one. I'd say he's got a stronger chance of it doing better than the last album provided they get all the elements right - and crucially, that the new material is better than the last album, because it was essentially a three or four track EP of good songs buried in a load of filler.

Binge watched the whole of the series on Thursday night. Just magnificent.

Anyhow, back on topic... their next three singles, "Key To My Life", "So Good" and "Father and Son" have all been added to DSPs today, as has "Working My Way Back To You" (which was their debut single in Ireland):

Just shared on his Instagram Stories that he's signed a new record deal today with BMG. Looks like new music isn't too far away then!

As I mentioned a couple of posts back, Louis being a wazzock of the highest order is not news to me. His total lack of accountability or remorse that's been highlighted in this documentary but also Boybands Forever last year is one thing. But then it's also well documented that he basically did the sum total of flap all for Girls Aloud after Popstars: The Rivals. In fact, all he did until they got Hilary Shaw on board was (checks notes) take a third of their earnings, call them a "bunch of English knackers" over a phone call to Nadine, and turn up at the video shoot for "Love Machine" to tell them they didn't look fat anymore. All the while Kimberley was doing his job because apart from Peter Loraine at Polydor they didn't really have anyone backing their corner.
  17. Yes, one of those threads again, but a fascinating one, nonetheless that's rich for debate. Can you think or name those artists who are best known by one massive song that is completely left of centre to their wider back catalogue? I'll start with an obvious one here: Extreme, "More Than Words": UrIiLvg58SY
  18. Called Bear as Example a long time ago. My personal predictions over who's left: Dressed Crab - Gregory Porter Wolf - Marti Pellow (it clicked with me last night when Richard E. Grant said "Definitely Scottish") Pufferfish - Lea Michele Do think it's been a bit of an off year overall this year, can't put my finger on why. Surprised Andrea Corr went out last week.
  19. I think this is probably the only one I really want this year off the list.
  20. It seems not.... ah well. (Not sure I'm tempted by the Reason release TBH.)
  21. Interesting choice of artwork, not sure why it's not the original?
  22. Fully here for Jade to give us a performance that is what Geri Halliwell doing "Bag It Up" in 2000 was. I feel certain she'll leave no crumbs at all.

Starting tomorrow night at 9pm on Sky Documentaries and available for streaming on Now TV. Their singles back catalogue is also now being added to DSPs - "Love Me For A Reason" went up first yesterday:
  24. Tonight's TOTP reruns - which have now moved onto 1997 - on BBC Four had the first performance of "Mama": pwYsuCtD6rE Great episode overall actually tonight, Cathy Dennis, Republica, No Doubt, The Source and Candi Staton, Prince (hence why Mel B yelled his name into the mic at the start)
  25. Snail is 100% Andrea Corr, I recognised the voice on that performance alone tonight! I think Kingfisher might be the stand up comedian Stephen K Amos.
