  1. Does anyone know where James Blake peaked with Retrograde, did it even manage to break the top 100? I can't even think of the right words to successfully describe the effect the track has on me; just magical.
  2. Bastille is at #6 in Ireland (Pompeii has just been released today there) and the EP is at #1 as well. :w00t:. (Just Give Me A Reason is also at #5 and Icona Pop's I Love it at #9 ). Hopefully this is a good indication with what is to come in 2 days!
  3. Could Thinking About You (Frank Ocean) get a new peak this week? I've never seen it this high.
  4. Nope. I can see Stay staying in the top 10 till the 2nd week of March tbh.
  5. Speaking of people calling Emeli overexposed, I read this article yesterday about her opinion on that subject matter: http://www.gigwise.com/news/79662/emeli-sa...-is-overexposed She has a fair point tbf.
  6. But the difference is that he'll/they'll likely have a (multiple) pretty successful hit(s) after.
  7. Would love for Thrift Shop to somehow make it back to #1 spot this week then Bastille to take over the following week. (Pompeii is released next week, right? :P [And yes, I know it's extremely wishful thinking]). EDIT: Looks like it is; just seen the posts on the last page about it.... BASTILLE FOR #1!
  8. Eurgh, now I have to go and play 'Nostalgia, Ultra' for the 100th time to remember how epic it is. It's a pity that none of Frank's singles has done that well chart wise; Lost was in the top 40 (iTunes) for a tine after New Years, right?
  9. MTE! Crank That Came out when I was in primary school and I remember teaching loads of my friends how to do it. I'm not even sure if the dance moves had a title; the superman? :P Stay is coming to Slay the charts. I'd love it to re-peak and get a #2 peak but unlikely.
  10. Ridiculous how Big Machine (Taylors label) and Def Jam (Rihannas label) have refused to put the albums up on spotify, apparently to try and capitalise on sales. I don't see the problem in only putting the singles up. Jeez
  11. I Love It should do well, don't think it'll get to #1 though. I just don't think Charli XCX connects to the general public and then her more hipster(ish) fans don't seem to actually support her buy buying her records. IIRC, Radio 1 playlisted (the epic) You're The One and did that even reach the top 100? I just had a look at the video for Foals' My Number, pretty good! Can anyone ever see the day when Capital would play a track like this? Or would only the R1s and the more indie/alternative/rock stations remain to be the only stations playing it.
  12. I wonder if Harlem Shake could take off, bringing Trap to the UK. Over the past week I've seen so many of the Harlem Shake dance craze videos. Hilarity! If anyone wants to learn how to do it... (and some brilliant examples) 384IUU43bfQItl0BPxqE6oJaCH6jzpxKgaFKj8CwE5dI
  13. I don't really see how it is detrimental to the music industry.. Loving the current top 3.
  14. (Even though she isn't technically a US artist) US artists (and their labels) need to stop with all this 'too urban for a UK release' non-sense. With the right radio support and a good enough video and promotion I don't see why Pour It Up wouldn't go at least top 20 and possibly top 10. It's this mindset why some awful pop-dance music is getting released instead of certain epicly good unreleased tracks. And Love Without Tragedy for a UK release? No thank you. I'd rather it remain being one of the better (best) album tracks on the album ala Fire Bomb. I'm just waiting for Jump to be released in the Summer!
  15. Apparently Pour It up is getting released in the UK after stay! :w00t::w00t: (15/4) Would love for that to go top 10 over here. I adore the current top 3 tracks. So incredibly brilliant! Tyler James' Worry About You at #83. Adore the track. Need to give his album a listen; kinda hope all the tracks are not the same formula as Single Tear and Worry About You though. Glad that Bastille's Flaws is still hovering in the top 100 (currently #65), thought it would fade of after a few weeks. The public seems to be really warming to them now, which gives me some hope that Pompeii will be a #1 smash. Definitely popping down to HMV to pick up 'Bad Blood' when it's out.
  16. Which just proves that Coventry is stuck way in the past. -_- I see multiple chavs daily and yes, they do get ridiculed. :P Thrift Shop is shitting on everything else! Glad to see the domination has begun.
  17. White Noise is the track of the year so far. :w00t: Been on repeat since the Zane Lowe premiere last week. Such an amazing track! The moment that I heard AlunaGeorge and Disclosure were going to work together I had a meltdown and had to prepare myself for the insane song that would be the product of the collaboration.
  18. Only the music video, and maybe the Brit Awards, can let Stay outpeak the #4 position. It will definately be in the charts till the start of March anyway.
  19. Was thinking the exact same thing earlier in the week, obviously with the exception of Rita Ora.
  20. Aha, I'm starting to really LIKE Connor. Animal is such a step-up from all his other singles as well. Will wait for the next single to see if I should have a listen to the album in full. Hoping Animal is not a fluke/one-off.
  21. I don't really understand how Thrift Shop is a novelty song..
  22. Anyone think Everything Everything could get into the top 40 tomorrow? The album will likely debut at #1 (picking up my copy on Tuesday :P) but I hope the single can also perform moderately well.
  23. It's on loads of blogs, Zane Lowe talked about and played it yesterday and a lot of entertainment news websites, or actually the main/general news was reporting about it. I had no idea he was this big in his hay-day.
  24. Diamonds to return to the top 5 please.
  25. Mental Phipps posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
Is Kodaline that band with the brilliant video for one of their tracks? If it is, then them for the win please! But I do love Haim though and really starting to warm to Tom Odell too. (AlunaGeorge was the rightful winner though. :coffee:)
