  1. You're kidding. :coffee:
  2. Seriously! That would have been a great cover for her book, too, tbh!
  3. That is not a comparable sentiment. :coffee:
  4. Sure, Jan. :coffee:
  5. :arrowright: OK :arrowleft:
  6. How, exactly, is singing about a lived experience a misfire?
  7. Hey. Easy V doesn't come for free you know. And neither did all of that lingerie she was sporting in that video. B-)
  8. Agreed! In addition to those, my other favourites are: Out Of Time, This Time [single Version], Understand, and Protected. I'm at the point now, where I prefer her 'Melanie C' album over 'Northern Star'. Both are solid records, but the cohesion within her self-titled album has won me over.
  9. I hope she plays 'Bag It Up' while doing that :teresa:
  10. You're not alone, Jay! The radio mix is certainly in my Top 10 of her single releases; it always reminds me of summertime. I find it ironic in a way, though, that Melanie has been so vocal about disliking this song that radio was seemingly supportive of; then we had a couple different iterations of Better Alone shoved into our ears, which went over like a lead balloon. To me, her push of Better Alone felt like her jumping on the anti-Spice bandwagon because it was one of the same bandwagons that took down Reason. I still can't fathom the budget being wasted on TWO videos for Better Alone, meanwhile, Last Night On Earth was just sitting there waiting for a big stadium moment. :nono:
  11. I'll second that. VB doesn't have the same vocal power of Melanie C, but, she doesn't need to. I always found VB's voice to be pleasant; I think my favourite vocal from her is in Love Thing. Girl slayed that track at Wembley in 1998; her choreography, attitude, vocal, all of it.
  12. The cheek, the nerve, the gall, the audacity and the gumption! :P
  13. If they have enough time to file those charges, then they have MORE than ample time to get LIM on streaming.
  14. Mistress COVID did leave an impact on that
  15. Jay, your reading era continues to look good on you. B-)
  16. "How I long to seduce you..." Free Me was Emma's liberation from the "Baby Spice" moniker -- similar to XTina's Dirrty And BS' "Slave" -- only much classier. I remember the first time seeing the video here in Canada and thinking: EXCUSE ME!? :music: :yahoo: I loved it instantly. And then Maybe came out and I saw so much potential for her to really forge a solid long-term solo career. And then ... Life In Mono was like a thumb and index finger putting out a candle flame for me. :nono:
  17. I can't with these. But I appreciate that there are fans out there who like them so much. If I had to listen to one of those three, I'd pick TMW and it would be the Thunderpuss Tribe-A-Pella -- it adds a much needed darkness to the track for me to enjoy it. I also think GDWM and WMT would sound *SO* much better without the reductive Darkchild stank on them
  18. THAT, and, maybe a #Goodbye25 something-or-other with some unreleased songs in the pipeline. A 'farewell' type tour would certainly align well with a Goodbye-themed release.
  19. We all know Mel B is a talker, but, she has always been pro-Spice Girls (for the most part) unlike a couple of the others. Mel B's persistence is also a part of why the stadium tour happened in 2019. It's ok to be excited sometimes.
  20. Jay, congratulations, I see you've entered you're reading era! Get her, Jade! :heehee:
  21. Don't get it twisted, boo: I never denied it had an impact on the group. You clearly disregarded my acknowledgement of the balancing act of responsibilities of parenthood vs being in a pop group. It's the way you described it that could have been phrased in a more sensitive way.
  22. Which version? :teresa:
  23. You did a great job at supporting my point: "Their lack of motivation towards the group" sounds much better than citing that the pregnancies did the most damage.
  24. I think I understand what you are trying to explain, but surely you could have phrased that better. While I'm sure the SGs don't lurk on here, I'm sure MB and VB wouldn't appreciate the context of that phrasing. The responsibilities of parenthood supersede those of a career.
  25. B-) OK
