  1. The time between the end of the SW tour and the release of Forever comes off as this weird "blackout" period for the group -- it was like radio silence compared to how omnipresent they were at their peak.
  2. Agreed. It's literally sitting in front of them: #Goodbye25. End it right, on a high, as a true unit, put us out of our misery.
  3. #enoughhoodies YES! More please  #nomorehoodies(unlesstheysaygogogo) :teresa: ...#ifyado, then I will #treasure it both during the day and #overnight
  4. You're that girl I knew you were. :hand:
  5. Agreed -- AND make some money off of them!
  6. What a trash article. "The girls could be left red-faced." Bitch, please. The tracks on the vinyl have more spice than Headlines and VooDoo. And 50% of Forever. And One Of These Girls. But not the in-demand Junior Vasquez Remix of Wannabe. That is untouchable. :teresa:
  7. Melanie has created some very strong and versatile music across her solo career. She can sell rock, pop, and (some) ballads, but I love what she did with her self-titled album. It fit her like hand in glove, and I hope she dives further into that dance/electronic sound. Her remix of Jessie Ware's 'Free Yourself' was also very nice.
  8. I've always wondered the same thing about the "tracks" on this vinyl, but I guess it makes sense for the times (1998/1999) when stems/loops/etc weren't as commonly circulated in digital form yet. The harmonies on all of these sound superb; that is one thing that these tracks have in common with the songs that made it onto Forever. But that's where I draw the line. I think these tracks will sound really really slick when (manifesting :teresa: ) we get them one day. 'Go Go Go' is very catchy; even just from the tiny bit we can hear on this vinyl. Interesting how the WOMAN vocals already sound like they've been modified for a remix. They clearly had plans!
  9. I love clips like this: they're all so into what they are singing, and it's a reminder of how strong they are as a group and why they captivated so many people. Also: this acapella clip made me like One Of These Girls for the first time. :heehee:
  10. Come THROUGH Papua New Guinea, YAS! :rap:  :cheer:
  11. Or anything else for that matter ... SW25 was a slap in the face to the original album; not to mention the fans.
  12. You're wrong. YOU. You're the drama! :cheer:
  13. OMG the hot glue gun girls are fightiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing :cheer:
  14. Definitely a cohesive record in terms of style -- just as cohesive as This Time, really. Next Best Superstar was a good way to kick it off and I was shocked that it charted as high as it did in the UK given the anti-Spice movement. It got a wee bit of play on radio here in Canada, but I think her pushing Better Alone twice was ... a choice. I can understand why she did it though; it perfectly aligned with the general public's anti-Spice movement so in my opinion, it was a "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" decision. Only it backfired because the fans were mostly spillover fans from the SGs, and given the fact that Melanie's attitude towards the SGs was consistently rotted during interviews during this era, it didn't help matters. Last Night On Earth was a missed opportunity; it's stadium ready, loud and has a positive energy.
  15. Fully agreed!
  16. CONFUSION :kink:
  17. As someone who tends to enjoy more upbeat/club-type music, I quite enjoy This Time. It's very easy listening, and I find it a pretty cohesive body of work. It tends to get trashed left, right and center on this forum, however, the one consensus critique I do agree with is that 'Already Gone' and 'Fragile' belong on the album; they are most definitely not b-side material. Looking at you, 'Forever Again.' :teresa:
  18.
  19. I just watched the documentary for the first time, and it's intriguing to see Geri's demeanor at different points within it. In the sit down interview with the audience, you can really see how defeated she felt when she got questions and compliments about Love Never Loved Me. You could tell she wasn't backing an album she was proud of. However, I appreciated her honesty about not "feeling" 100% Pure Love as a single because while the original is such a classic, her cover version would not have added anything new to it. Geri says so many times in this documentary how she didn't want to be a product of the sausage machine; she wanted to be different. Fully respect that. I just find there to be such irony that her third album called Passion (inappropriate title because she didn't seem to have any for that body of work) kind of went belly-up like the Spice Girls' third album (equally inappropriately called Forever).
  20. In fairness, her self-titled album is pretty solid, and I think she's found her stride. I'm looking forward to her next follow-up album more than any follow-up in the past.
  21. Wouldn't that free up time this year for anything SG related? And "next year" could mean Nov 2024 for all we know, leaving the first part of the year open. (I'm trying to hold a little glimmer of hope that something worthwhile we happen for Goodbye25).
  22. I'm still not convinced that they will even acknowledge Forever25. It's not exactly an era worth celebrating on the same magnitude as their first two albums. Plus, Gerita has nothing to gain from Forever 25.
  23. The most natural release would be Goodbye25 along with a tour of the same name. Come on girls ... it's right there. It's RIGHT there!
  24. Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitch :yahoo: That's my line. Give it back.
  25. When was Feed Your Love registered relative to it getting officially released? :mario:
