I think it may be that there is quite a lack of big acts releasing music now and more noticeable that these indie acts etc. do not have the support they should. The power they have on the charts now is also so high! Would be quite amusing if Mr Brightside charts above 'Boy' this week, hopefully that is not the case. Some of the music they do support more is odd though. Ahead of The Killers this week on NMF is High School Musical, John Legend and some acts who are either new or not particularly known. It's almost like Spotify goes out of their way to prove a point :)

I do wonder if it is a sample that was requested, it is far too similar to not be. It elevates the song though!

I completely understand that and it's incredible that they have been going for so long however it's a shame as their new single is so strong. The streaming services pick and choose which legacy act to support! I understand how it all works, it's just frustrating. Maybe in my 30s I am too old for it all haha

First time i've seen how Spotify really is today. Unless you are dance, have paid loads of money or are down with the kids (rap etc.) then you have no chance. The Killers back with a Huge song so far down the list on new music friday along with Robbie who is even lower. Spotify dictates the charts and these acts have no chance anymore.

The Killers with an incredible comeback to mainstream song and Robbie with a great new track yet KSI has gone straight in at no1.

I found a song that came out today called Probabilities by an artist called Maude Latour. Her other music is not great however I really like this! Worth checking out. Not a big fan of Billie Eilish but like both her new tracks.
