TD is up and running again. :yahoo:
  2. Thanks everyone. :D
  3. Fortunately I just found my password for DS again a couple of days ago, I must have had a premonition that TD was going to go down. Anyway, are there physical copies of Summer Covers then? I thought it was just available as a download or vinyl, neither of which would be any good for me, but a physical would be great.

He might still. There'll be a lot of people watching this advert who are likely to be reminded why they once bought a Will Young album and decide to buy one again. There'll also be lots who only bought the 10 track version back in May, and for them, this really will be a 5 bonus track version. As for the ones who already own the de luxe 85% Proof, the choice is ours to make, do we want to own another copy, or shall we just download What the World Needs Now. Simples. :D
  5. I think he's a great musician and songwriter and he's brilliant live too. Always keep one of his albums in my car, along with Wills of course and a Motown compilation. :D

And yet, Like a River is the song I like least on the album, our tastes really are all different aren't they? I think we all know, and Will has said in many interviews, he doesn't release music to just sell huge units or buy a Ferrari, it has to be what is right for him and obviously Thank You is. He's sung it almost since he started promoting the album. Quite honestly, I wouldn't have any idea what single would be best to release right now, they are all so different, unlike Echoes when all the songs just seemed to flow into one another(to me anyway). Because I like country music, Gold or Where are you tonight are two of my favourites. For Echoes fans, I would imagine I Don't need a Lover would hit the spot. Promise Me is probably the least likely to cause a reaction to it's release, either way, a one size fits all type of track, maybe that'll be the next one. :D
  7. I don't think any of us would claim to be over the moon with the sales figures but nothing can take away from the delight of seeing Will get that coveted number one album spot last Sunday. :yahoo: Every cloud has a silver lining though and. if Will wants this album to have legs, and he says he does, then he's going to have to get out there and perform the tracks from it so people can hear it. Hopefully, there'll be more to come for us between now and the winter tour, if not , let's hope that he gets his wish to promote overseas , that really would be the icing on the cake. :D

I don't think it's anything more than using every means to advertise his album. He's always said that singles are the ambassadors for the albums and other than R2, he can't rely on radio play now, so this is the next best thing.

I don't think it will be the next single, Will may have just said that because he wanted to sing it instead of Like a River . Having said that, it's been my favourite of the three songs we've heard so far , so I wouldn't mind. I don't think any of them have been what I was expecting, they've all been a bit of a surprise, and I can understand Sunday's point of view, but he's second to none singing live, and I think we'll hear the songs completely differently when he's up on stage with his band.

It's not the new single, it's a video created for one of the tracks that Will has been showcasing on his radio tour.

Positive. The company who were viewing the rushes for the video said it was for Like A River.

Having spent much of yesterday searching through reams of paperwork, I've finally found my password. I always read on here but haven't posted for ages because of the lost password and nothing really going on in Will's world.

Ah well, nevermind, it's pretty quiet anyway now the Oliviers are over, and we might hear about the Norfolk workshop via twitter.

I know we always double check on here but, is Devoted down for everyone else? I wonder why it has so many problems.

There were a couple of sightings of Will in Covent Garden yesterday, so this holiday was just that it seems, and not the start of a year long trek through India.

Yes, heard it on the news and discussing it on BD :D Absolutely thrilled for him, an Olivier nomination on top of his WOS win and for his first West End appearance too, well done and well deserved. :yahoo:

Well, it's just my take on it but, if he wanted to take a long time out, do as he pleased, see life, then he had the opportunity to do all of that between contracts, he was a free agent. Signing to another label means terms and conditions , especially if there's a sum of money involved, don't think he'd be given laissez faire :D .

Yes I read that too, but I don't think Will's the type of person to divulge his future plans to a stranger, even though he might have recognised the face from various things he's done. In a couple of interviews, he's stressed that it's the album next, Bill Kenwright said it was the album next and Will has never said he was taking a break first. He's got a new contract and I'm sure Island will expect him to deliver an album sooner rather than later, plus the fact, Will has a dual career, so all future acting roles have to go on hold until the album's done. If he does go walkabout and risks losing all, then I don't think he's the ambitious person he claims he is. Plenty of time for trekking through the sub continents when he's no longer in demand I would think, and that can happen at the drop of a hat, he knows that'.

I don't think fans can take the credit for his win, this was all down to the theatre going public and Will's superb performance as Emcee. He triumphed in this role and thoroughly deserved the award on merit. :D

Devoted's down again and I really want to know what Dermot O'Leary said about Will on the one show 'cos I missed it. Very frustrating the last couple of days with BD going off at the only interesting times we have at the moment.

    It's down for me too.

I was suprised no one picked these tweets up over on D, then I thought maybe I was reading too much into them. I like to think that Will does keep in touch with his band, especially David Tench and Ash because they are always with him at his live gigs. I expect they have a vague idea as to when they might be playing with him again, so as 'soon' and 2013 were both mentioned, let's hope that there's a least some live gigs this year but better still, live gigs and new music. Sandra

Wishing everyone a happy and peaceful Christmas :D
  25. It's worth typing up though  'At this time of year, the bookshelves are groaning with autobiographies. Many aren't worth the money- and then there are the good ones. Will Young shot to fame in 2001, winning the first ever series of Pop Idol. Whereas other TV talent show 'stars' have fallen by the wayside, Will continues to shine as a singer and an actor. His honest tale is one of the best I've read and he reveals a side to his personality that he's kept well hidden.' I think that's rather nice. :D
