I wish we could get a little update on the sales. It would be nice to know if he's making any ground on KOL or not. Or more importantly probably, is whether he looks like holding on to the #2 spot for the rest of the week. Young Andrew Johnston has crept up a spot.

SCD is live on the Saturday, Sunday's result show is recorded on the Saturday too. So Will needs a free Saturday :D JR is recorded the night before transmission. And a free Thursday. :D

Well maybe this time, his sales will include more than just domestic ones ;) We'll just have to wait and see if anything comes from the Music Week report that suggested Will would be looking outside of the UK with this album, especially towards the US next year. It could happen :D

I'm very pleased with the sales so far. It's worth remembering that male solo singers have had particularly bad times lately (unless it's been immediately off of XFactor). None of us knew how Will would be recieved 3 years on, and the single sales last week got the old nerves jangling, however, it was as we hoped and suspected, Will has matured into primarily an album artist and live performer ,which I'm sure is just where he wants to be right now. :D
  5. Perhaps they think that a few hundred of us have multi bought tour tickets too. There might be more than one of us (present comapny excepted of course ;) ) who have a***s big enough to spread over a neighbours seat, but not over the 50k theatre seats Will's already sold.
  6. If I were McFly, or any other singer for that matter, I'd be hoping the singles sales did drop, in favour of the album ones, once it was released. ;)
  7. Thanks for posting the link Suggy, I was looking for it last night :D So, we heard clips of 2 songs on that lttle vid then, one which made the album (Grace) and one which didn't (This is Who I Am), it's all a very interesting insight into the recording process isn't it? Another thing is, anyone who still think Will wears a syrup needs to warch this. It's quite obvious that Will has 'difficult hair' when it's got any length to it and now the straighteners have been dispensed with, the only way to go is with the gloop. :P
  8. Ah yes, I wasn't thinking of it like that :D
  9. It must be making a difference somewhere surely. Jennifer Hudson is three places ahead of Will on ITunes, but four places behind him in todays midweek update. That can only be the Tesco effect can't it?

I think Kings of Leon may hold for a second week and deny both of them .
  11. You mean he doesn't attract the right age group don't you? So if 'old' Mick Jagger, or 'old' Sir Paul or that dear old granny Madonna might tune in to Radio 1, the powers that be would rather they hadn't attracted that type, whose age obviouly prevents them from knowing anything about music. Anyway, as someone else has said, Will is doing phenominally well for airplay, I think it's been the best ever pre release, so as far as I'm concerned, long may he continue without R1 on board. :D
  12. It's getting ridiculous with both of the sites now :arrr: Maybe OS has an excuse in that they're updating the site, but KP hasn't even mentioned about the problems D is having. Surely something can be done about it.
  13. I'm totally peed off with the bloody site. It's been like it for weeks and if it's not D it's the OS. I've never known anything so totally frustrating. :arrr: This site doesn't go down, DS only shuts down for maintenance. I reckon KP and the OS are using some cheap jack servers to have this amount of data base errors. ;)
  14. Can you even get on the OS? And to crown it all, D has just gone down too. :arrr:
  15. I think it's quite good but, they're gonna have to sell one heck of a lot of singles to break even with the cost of that video, especially as they have to finance it all now, don't they? No idea where it will chart though, I suppose it will depend on how may formats they are offering, or what other enticements go with it. B)

Yeah, I saw that too :D I think what attracted me to Will in the first place, was the pitch of his voice being very similar to my favourite singers of all time, the great soul artists of the 60s & 70s. If that person thinks Johnny Nash sounds like a 'chick' he needs to have a listen to the fantastic Stylistics, that was male falsetto in all its glory. :D

It's Johnny Nash, FG, a hit for him in 1972. The first few lines go something like. I can see clearly now the rain has gone I can see all obstacles in my way Gone are the dark clouds that hid the sun It's gonna be a bright, bright sun shiny day. Does that help? :D

I wonder if he's dressed in that suit at anytime in the video. Nearly always, with a couple of exceptions, the single covers have been taken from the video shoots. Anyway, I like it very much :D

Well, Kate Perry should still be in the frame and of course there's McFly :) I think he'll be up against McFly for downloads and the following week, James and Will go head to head with physical releases.
  20. I must be the only one that was hoping there woudn't be another flipping radio tour. It wasn't worth the candle last time, caused more trouble than it was worth and I'm dreading that all we're going to get is another round of inane questions about PI and rubbish like that.

That's true, but then again, most fans become fans because they're attracted to a particular style or voice or both. If the style changes, then some move on. Will's gone with a radio friendly up tempo ballad style this time, which is unlikely to frighten the horses and will pretty much please his existing fans, plus maybe bring some back to the fold and hopefully, make some new fans too.. :D I can understand he's not everyone's cup of tea, who is? but it all gets so petty and childish with silly snipes, designed to do what exactly? If you don't like him, vote him top 40 in the poll and get over it, it doesn't matter a hill of beans anyway.

I was thinking that, a comfy bed or a rather large sick bucket should be on Vidcapper's must have list, if we don't see him for a while, we'll know he's chosen the 'coma' option  Seriously though, not everyone's going to like Will or his new material, and even as a fan, I'm not confident of him topping the charts with either single or album, but I'd be very, very, very, suprised if he flopped. I think he'll sell continuously and be up there with the more prolific sellers of the year. :D

It's not all about Will & James though is it? There's some other people releasing who could upset the apple cart . Personally, I'd actually like to hear James's new material before I make any predictions. I don't think he's big enough to sell on his name alone, so the material will need to be good, and it may well be. It's strange that two artists, who work with basically the same songwriters, can be perceived so differently. R1 are bound to get behind James, seeing him as the cool guy, but I doubt Will will even get a play on there, so it could all come down to promotion opportunities at the end.
  24. Maybe it all depended on how the album turned out. Reading between the lines, it appears that the SBMG's American 'suits' have been keeping tabs on how the album was progressing, hence their interest for several months. It probably was all systems go if the album looked to be a good 'un and Will was willing and maybe another reason why he's lookes so happy these past few months. :D

Based on the 4/5 tracks we've already heard, I think the fans would agree that this looks like it'll be his best album yet. He's got a Freemason's remix on there too that I'm looking forward to hearing.
