  1. Ah, but they're releasing the same day as his boy Shayne Ward. It's a wonder he even said he thought they'd get to no.1, I would have thought his reason for 'dissing' Sugababes was so he had the opportunity to big up Shayne.
  2. Nice to see you back chrysalis. I hope everything will be fine for you, and there's me rabbiting on about hospitals too this morning, just what you need, I don't think, sorry.
  3. It was a heart ward too. Luckily for me, I was there awaiting a procedure that proved the old tickker was fine. Any upper stomach pain is suspect heart problems nowadays it seems. Two bloody weeks though, beacause of the sheer volume of patients that need that procedure and the lack of qualified staff able to do it. Talking of staff, they were wonderful, I have nothing but respect and praise for all of those I came in contact with at the much maligned Northwick Park hospital in west London.
  4. Yep, it's grey and dismal here in London too. I'll have to admit though, that it's been something of a relief that we haven't had the scorching Summer we were promised, I was dreading a repeat of the heat of last year. I was in hospital for two of the hottest weeks last year, no air conditioning, no opening a window beacaue of a wasps nest right outside of this 9th floor ward  we had our own fans, our families bought in, I thought we were all more likely to die of the bloody heat than the illnesses we went in for. :D

Do you actually believe record companies just hand out that money in advance regardless, just because they signed her? It's called an advance because it is exactly that. Money 'loaned' in order for her to make the album, to pay expenses whilst she's making it. That will all have to be paid back from her earnings once the album sells and only then will she start to earn anything at all. Even then, most singers who earn mega bucks earn it from touring and merchandising not from c.d. sales. It's a business not a charity and they speculate to accumulate, if record companies didn't do that, they'd have their share holders up in arms on a daily basis.

Where did you get the information that Leona's guaranteed £1m per album before sales? Are you talking about her record deal, because if so, I don't think it works quite like that. ;)

I take it that you,ve heard these tracks then and that's why you're so impressed with that long list of collaborators on her album? See, the one (independent) person who apparently has heard the new single says it sounds like the 9 year old Whitney Houston song My Love Is Your Love, which is a pleasant enough song but..... and there's Simon saying in a press conference that Leona 's new material is like a young Whitney or Mariah. Because at the moment, I'm thinking never mind the 20 or so writers we keep being bombarded with, but has Simon done what a lot of us though he might, turn Leona into a newer and younger version of his favourite female singers of a decade ago? All will be revealed in the next few weeks. B)
  8. I think they were put together solely to enter XFactor, they're all friends from the local dance school aren't they? Louis went public on XFactor, promising them a contract, but the minute the cameras were off, it seemed, he welshed on the deal (Typical of the little $h!te  ) I think they've all worked hard to get somewhere, but it wasn't working. I don't think anyone can blame Anthony, it's a dog eat dog World in that industry and as I said earlier. it wasn't as though they'd been together for years before the show, so any one of them might have a better chance as a solo act.
  9. He tried to get it going over on DS yesterday, but he obviously didn't hear the R1 interview, so he had to bow out. See, the wet weather does bring out those critters
  10. Heads up, it's Louis himself
  11. I liked these guys, it's a shame, but with no deal on offer, I suppose it was inevitable. Anthony was the one who seemed to get noticed so maybe he's had a solo offer.
  12. There's a World of difference. None of us have the opportunity of using a media platform to slag off other artists, and furthermore, none of us stand to make a financial gain by plugging our chosen ones either. As far as I'm concerned, the man is amking a fool of himself and the artists he represents. We've only got to look at the vitriol being hurled in his direction on this thread to realise if he keeps on like this, he could cause a huge backlash against those he's hoping to promote.

I like the sound of 'So Nice To Be Loved By You' too :yahoo: It makes me think of 'How Sweet it is To Be Loved By You', wouldn't mind if it sounded like that one either. :D

BLIMEY! I hope this is the one, I bought Last Request 'cos I loved it and always thought I'd have loved to hear Will sing something like it. :cheer:

No, he's not that one. He's with a group called Melt Music. I'd bring it across but I've no idea how to, but I did find him on Google search.

Boyzone & Kavana  Obviously quite ancient info though ;)

I had to google the two co songwriters and James McMillan was fairly inpressive 'til I saw the last two he'd worked with  Felix Howard has written a lot for the Sugababes which sort of gives the impression that Will isn't going to wander far from the soul/pop/jazz mixture that we know and love. :D We've not seen anything come up yet with that bloke (forget his name) who sings with the Birds & The Bees or something, have we?
  18. Griff has posted on the OS that she's texted Phil. I think he's at work at the moment.

Yep Just like someone else who used to post on here, there's always quite a gap between posts by Will 123. Makes you wonder if they've been confined somewhere during the interim periods doesn't it. ;)
  20. It's really not that hard, go one girl just do it. What do you like to eat? don't think about what other people might like, just think of the meal you yourself would order at a restaurant say. It's the same with the guests. No one can second guess who Will may like to meet (I think that's what's throwing people) just think of who you would love to sit and talk to . :D Most of my choices are dead, I'd probably be better off with a seance

I think all the winners will probably be vetted and I can't imagine him doing this without some type of security anyway. It's got to be somewhere hired for the evening, along with all the staff necessary, probably SAS moonlighting as the waiters and chef

I'm not too scared to meet him, I just don't want to. I know that probably sounds silly and if it was an accidental encounter, I'd probably handle it all very well, but it's the set up and it not being spontaneous that I'd find off putting. I have been very close to him for quite a long while on one occasion and it was so very strange. I just couldn't get to grips with the fact that this guy, standing in front of me was the guy I'd watched so often singing with that wonderful voice of his. I was probably expecting a big glow surrounding him or something and he was just so ordinary, a nice looking young man, who I don't think I'd have even noticed if he'd walked down my local high street. :D Of course, that is what Will really is, a very ordinary young man with a wonderful gift and it's that that makes him extraordinary.

Did she lose the plot? I always wondered what the hell happened to her, she disappeared, never to be seen or heard of again :D
  24. I still find it so strange that this comp doesn't appear to be attached to anything. It's come completely out of nowhere, with no album or tour to promote, unless of course, it's with the Proms in mind but even then it's strange. :D
  25. Don't forget Shayne's going to promo it on XFactor, not much doubt about that, so with probably the biggest tv audience available for any singer, whatever the gap between releases, it's not going to matter much. The album will likely do better too with its pre Xmas release. It's obvious the radio stations weren't interested in the original track, so in view of what happened to Gareth with no airplay, looks like there's been a massive change of plans in the Shayne camp.
