  1. I wonder how long it'll be before the Americans cotton on to Victoria fashioning herself in the image of the young Jackie Kennedy. At least, that's what I think she's been doing for a long while. The soppy huge sunglasses were a Jackie Kennedy trademark years ago. The ultra slim figure, the clothes, the handbags, all adorning two rather plain women who really had (in the case of Jackie) and have no particular talent other than gracing the front pages of the Worlds media.

There's not a snowball's chance in hell that Leona will flop with her first album. It's being launched globally for a start and the money that Simon Cowell will pump into that promotion will know no bounds. She will be on every available TV show, every magazine and newspaper in the country. Even if people have forgotten her now, they won't be able to avoid her once promotion kicks off. I don't think there's been a tv talent show winner that has truly flopped with their first releases, they're a given, it's the second, third and subsequent ones that really determine if the've found a star or not.
  3. Does anyone else find that they get slung out of here on a regular basis and have to log in at least once a week?
  4. Oh dear, not the best way to have the decision made for you, but I'm sure your cat's worth it :D We've inherited two neighbours cats. They don't even go home anymore and although their owners know where the cats are lodging, they don't appear to care. What we'll do if they need a vets care, heaven only knows. I don't really want them, one keeps bringing me 'prezzies' two dead mice and one live blackbird this week  but I'm too soft to shove them out. :D
  5. Actually, I probably am  But it would just be my like to be searching for the lav, just as Will was about to come on, or looking for first aid to treat the wasp sting, have me back give way from standing too long and be flat out on the grass, thus seeing nothing but the crowds legs. (You've gathered by now that I'm one of life's optimists haven't you?) Nah, I'm best off at home, glass of wine in hand, feet up watching our man on the tele ;)
  6. I think I'd only go for this if I was anxious to see the other artists as well. Three songs, less than 15 minutes of Will, that's a heck of a drive for such a short performance. :D It's not far for me, I live in West London, but I don't do parks, or standing, or charges to the front, possible cloudbursts, red hot sun, plagues of wasps or queues for portaloos. Not even for Will, sorry  When he comes back to the arena, I'll be there with bells on for as many nights as he plays ;)
  7. Did he? I was thinking of the last proms, the Jubilee, Diana and all the others when it's just been Joseph that's gone along with him :D If he sings with the orchestra as well (that's if he's even doing this ;) ) then let's hop we get a mixture of Will's own tracks and some old standards.
  8. I'm sure you will enjoy it whether Will's there or not, it's one of those 'experiences' isn't it? One thing that I'm puzzled about, some over on D are talking about him singing with the orchestra, so why would his band be there?
  9. Thanks TT, got it now Oh BTW, I think it was Shelina not Kevin who spilled the beans last time ;) Drat it, I should have made a sepatate post for that info, that'll knock our count down next Monday
  10. Well, I've seen Kevin's Myspace, and I've seen the date, but where does he mention Will?

So, we have Shayne Ward doing 'a Rhianna' Shane Ward doing Justin Timberlake, twice And Shayne Ward's answer to the Pussycat Dolls I wonder if anywhere on that album is the original Shayne Ward? Nah, I doubt it, not when Simon/Louis have done their homework on what's sold the best in the last few months
  12. There was something so special about Will that day. After all the snidey forecasts of him not lasting more than 6 months, I watched him sing Summertime and BOTROAD and knew just how wrong they were, His star shone with that performance and has continued to do so ever since. :cheer:

You have to hand it to that little pixie Louis Walsh, he sure know how to stage a return to the charts for his artist  A song that everyone's talking about (if maybe for the wrong reasons ;) ) talks of a Hollywood film and then throwing the wrong midget into a pool and rescuing him single handed. We've got another 5 weeks of Louis style promo to look forward to, I wonder what we'll get next. Not the plane crash though Louis, you alredy used that one for Westlife
  14. It probably IS one of the saddos from here
  15. Unless my eyes are deceiving me, we're not even on there this week. Mikey's left us out

Most men would feel totally emasculated to have another guy call them 'pathetic' and to 'get a life', on an open music forum, oh, the humiliation. Let's hope it's hit home to this Melle person and he realises what a total fool he's making of himself. He'll probably slither (do woodlice slither? ) back over to DS though and continue making a pratt of himself over there instead.

I think he does know, he has posted on Popjustice with info about Shayne before and I think someone from here says he works in the studio where Shayne has recorded. It looks as though his comeback has been stratgetically planned doesn't it with a kiddy pop track for the little 'uns and then a oke Justin Timberlake style single to cash in on his fanbase. If he gets airplay (maybe he won't like Gareth hasn't) but if he does, he'll do well, won't do much for his credibility mind, but that's not what Walsh/ Cowell and their cohorts are about anyway.
  18. More trash I see. Poor old Melle/ Woodlouse, spends all their time urinating into a force 10 gale, into the Dustbin thread with you  :cheer:

I said earlier in this thread that I thought Shayne would do very well this year, after hearing this, I think he'll do even better, there's not an under 10 in the country who won't be pestering their mum to buy it for them, our 5 year old will love it  It really is kiddy pop, it's catchy, I can't help but like it myself, but Chico could have done this, any cartoon character could have, and there's the pity of it. I can't help but think of that hopeful who sang that marvellous rendition of Somewhere over the Rainbow on XFactor and curse Louis Walsh for bringing him down to this. Let's hope there's something more mature on the album.
  20. I think Will will get to hear about them, I'd like to think that some of the record company and management company big wigs get to hear as well, only thing being, I'm still not convinced that Will is that bothered about selling his music abroad. Doing a musical on Broadway,or doing a film over there I'm sure would tempt him, but as he once said, he'd lose too much control of his life having a US recording contract. Shame really, but happiness is paramount so it's a wise man that puts that first. ;)
  21. I wouldn't bother Pearl, I think our friend Woodlands is here amongst us in the shape of Melle in fact, if I were a betting type, I'd stick a monkey on the Wood louse. ;)
  22. I wonder who they are on Devoted. They've got enough to say for themselves on here, but too chicken to speak openly on the site they've joined just to spy on. Is Will just unlucky that he seems to draw the 'nutters 'r' us ' brigade to his forums?
  23. Inclined to agree with you about Joss Stone. At the moment it's looking more like the Joss Stone show, with guest artists  Someone on DS says he'll be on 'mime watch' when she's on. Yesterday when they showed her rehearsing, she stopped singing but the song carried on, maybe that was just the backing track though ;)

I have a feeling that Shayne is going to do very well this year ;)
  25. She was on Breakfast TV this morning and no hint of an American accent today that I noticed, a slight west country twang, but that's all. She's probably taken heed of the abuse heaped upon her, seen the error of her ways and realised if she wants to sell her album here, then becoming a 'fake yank' isn't the way to go about it. ;)
