I think it has probably come about because of Simon Fuller's business partnership with the boss of Island records. :D

Will's a songwriter, I doubt he'll turn that off and on like a tap, it wouldn't suprise me at all if he's been writing ever since Echoes was released , probably even now while he's doing Cabaret in the evening. I think he knows how difficult remaining relevant in the music industry is, and that staying away too could end his career entirely. He likes to multi task doesn't he? and the comedy drama is something he's been working on for ages, I wonder if it will ever see the light of day. :lol:

I would think it would be towards the end of next year too. Really can't see RCA negotiating a new contract and then giving him carte blanche with the release date. He got away with the three years last time because of the GH release I suspect, but it's too risky nowadays to leave such a big ap there's always someone new ready to step in and fill the breach.

I always have felt that he had to agree a time scale for the release of his next album which is why it took time to confirm Cabaret earlier this year. Do you remember when the news first broke and we were all waiting for details, some theatre bod tweeting that the hold up was down to Willl's record company?

A good review but as Suggy says, he comes across as not being a Will fan in particular. He certainly liked Michelle but from a lot of the tweets I've read, she's not evryone's cup of tea in the role, so I'll see what I think when I see the show in London. Will seems to have got universal praise so far, hope it carries on through the Savoy run, because I think after 8 years in the acting game, he might just have the role now that propels him to greater things with that side of his career. :D

It's still there for me this morning. I seem to be pretty much on my own over there though. It's quite weird, like seeing something no one else can see. I just hope that when it is fixed, it doesn't throw me out for good. :blink:

I honestly don't understand why I've still been able to get on . I was out for a couple of hours this afterenoon, between 2 and 4 but I certainly hadn't noticed anything wrong until I read the posts on here.

Baby D has been fine for me all day. Unless of course it's been going on and off and I've been lucky enough to catch it when it's on.

Well, we did hear just before the formal announcement of Cabaret that it was discussions with Will's record company that were holding things up. I think they have more say than he lets on Chris. It's a business afterall and Will knows full well there's a lot of people who were his peers who no longer have contracts. Cast you mind back to when he was doing the Vortex, it was Ged Doherty who went up to Manchester to talk about the next album's release, so RCA are much more than just his music distributor. Will only ever talks about X1X as his management company, his label, A&R and all things music are RCA. They obviously give him leeway inbetween releases, but I still think they would expect a release to fit in with their side of the contract deal.

Because he's got a brand new contract now, and because he must have negotiated his time out for Cabaret as part of it (and I doubt the label were thrilled with him doing a musical), I reckon he would have agreed the next album sooner rather than later, I'm expecting the end of next year to be honest.

Maybe, but if he doesn't get the theatre role, who knows, it could be sooner. Looks like the rest of this year is devoted to writing his book but he's never been definite about the theatre thing, the film role isn't mentioned anymore either and, he must also have to fit his music writing in with other people's schedule too, doubt Kish Mauve are going to just sit around waiting 'til Will's indulged all his other interests. :lol:

The problem is that Will has used up nearly every promotional opportunity he can get on TV and if he can't get the support from radio it won 't be worth releasing another single I suppose. He's not going to promote Echoes abroad then, shame that, so hopefully he won't leave too big a gap between albums if he's going to have to rely entirely on keeping the UK market interested in his music.

That's what I was expecting. Big announcements from Team Will are only ever going to be about something they wish to sell and a London gig in amongst the forest ones already announced, needs to be marketed. :D Olympic gigs or Jubileee gigs wouldn't be Will's to announce even if he did get a slot. BTW, is Baby down for anyone else?
