Thanks for that  You can never have too many opportunities to read that review can you?

Glad you enjoyed it (as if it would be possible not to  ) I hope someone will bring over that stonking review from the Sheffield Star, who ever wrote it, they certainly appreciated their night at the Hallam arena :yahoo:
  3. The fact that Will recognises other peoples talent for songwriting and wishes to pay homage to them by performing their songs, whether on c.d. or in concert, says more about the measure of the man, than those who's own ego would stop them from ever considering someone elses work was as good, if not better. He's a very gifted interpreter of songs, and that's a talent that's sadly missing in the industry nowadays.

Well call me picky this morning, but actually, the character Will is about to play in the Vortex, is that of a young musician (there's a link) who has a rather unhealthy obsession with his mother, an Oedipus complex maybe. No hint of homosexuality or closet gayness whatsoever in this part. The fact that it was written & first performed by the gay Noel Coward might be misleading, and as I've said before, just the sort of facts that these pesky journalists get wrong because they don't do their homework. ;)

As this thread is all about a journalists inability to get his facts right, I think it's only fair to point out just how easily it happens. Baytree, even you have made at least three glaring mistakes, but perhaps in your haste to discredit all things Will, you decided that fact should take a back seat. (I think that's the journalists approach too) Firstly, PJ & Duncan were never Simon Cowells artists, Robson & Jerome were (are they who you meant?) Secondly, they are the very famous Ivor Novello awards (not Novella) And thirdly, andI'm suprised that someone of your intellect didn't know this, The Vortex was written by Noel Coward, not Oscar Wilde (but then, they're both gay men, closet gays at that) so why the heck worry who the true author was ) As for the rest of your post, the reader can make up their own mind, I can't even be bothered to comment on such drivel.
  6. Val 4Jaden, Unless or until Gareth comes back into the entertainment industry in any shape or form, he is a failed pop star. Now you might not like to hear it, but anyone who has not been seen for the last 3 years and has lost a record contract to boot, could hardly be termed anything else by the public.
  7. I don't normally go over there, but I did today and not only that stupid comment but the other one who seemed to think Wills PR was personally responsible for the slight against Darius & Gareth  I mean for heavens sake, Wills PR would want to distance him from PI, not keep linking him to the runners up failures.
  8. I know what you mean Dot, you've heard one of these groups, you've heard them all  but, the guy in question was actually Tim Wheeler from Ash, who've been quite successful over the years. (still not my cup of tea though ;) )
  9. No, 'cos I have broadband and I can't see it. Back to the drawing board I think ;) It's strange how some of us can & some of us can't but there must be a simple explaination.
  10. We've moved up a place to no. 3 this week
  11. They should be charged with bringing the name of music into disrepute :puke2: Surely this must signal the end for them, they'll be the laughing stock of the industry (well, they were already, but this is even worse :D )
  12. Jeeez it's not is it? :o The most puke inducing song ever written, being covered by the most puke inducing group ever manufactured. Well. if nothing else, it's a marriage made in heaven
  13. Please tell me Westlife are not covering Bobby Goldsboros' Honey
  14. The XFactor winner only needs to release the usual mediocre load of tosh that is the winners song, and Robbie & Take That won't get a look in anyway

Well Capital have it for today, so as Wills OS has a habit of getting things wrong, I'm gonna go with Capital I think :D
  16. I wonder where this urban myth about Gareth being kept out of sight began. Surely there's someone amongst his fans who has common sense enough to realise (and challenge the fact) that he just isn't important enough for any mangement company to go to that amount of trouble, and even if he was, what the hell would be the point to it all. You couldn't make it up could you? :D

I hope everyone knows that Lizzies fantastic artwork are actually videos too. You have to access those on Devoted though
  18. That's eccentric Will for you :D I suspect he found the whole idea of the pens so hilariously tacky that he just couldn't resist them ;) It's very typical of him really. Most people would be expecting some classy tat, so Will does the exact opposite and gives them the saucy seaside postcard type of tat. I'll be buying 1 or 2, 'cos I find them hilarious as well

I think we may well have a female winner this year ;) I liked Kate the 44year old, Then along came Samantha, the young mum, who was brilliant, but the best of the night for me was Nikita, what a voice, she blew me away.

I'm not going until the last 2 nights at Wembley but there's no way I'm gonna stay away from all the news :D I'll be there with bells on from about 8.30pm on the 12th of September right up 'til I see him myself ;)
  21. We'll be turbo charged in a couple of weeks time ;) :D
  22. Well yes, footage being the appropriate term I think ;)
  23. X for X rated ;) There was a certain performance of Save Yourself on the summer tour last year which should definitely have been Xrated. Anyone remember it? I'm sure you must, but is their photographic evidence about? :D

It's OK I'm back on Devoted but I'm giving up with the OS  It's so slow anyway, but it just won't shift itself tonight.

I can't get on either, anyone else having a problem?
