Will in Italy.
I think we were all expecting an all out European campaign. There's obviously been a change of plan, 'cos 1 appearance on German tv, 1 appearance on Dutch tv and a couple of magazine interviews, is hardly going to set Europe alight.

Journey South's Carl escapes death
This is one of their original songs I think. Haven't heard it yet, but I would have liked these two to do well, they were my favourites on the last XFactor and I think their version of Desperado on the show, was very good.

It's A Jolly Holiday.
I'll probably change my mind tomorrow, but this is my choice for today ;) Alibi of Love (for gawds sake release this one some time Will) All Time Love (beautiful simple track, not really a favourite, but I just can't imagine anyone else singing this) Easy (my very favourite of this round of releases) Hey Ya (can still remember the feeling I got hearing this on Live Lounge) If That's What You Want (should have been on the first album) I couldn't Love You More( Will sang this beautifully, would have loved a recorded version of this one too) Leave Right Now (Still love it) Side by Side (Great original track, never gets the recognition it deserves) Signed Sealed Delivered ( Will does Stevie, and doesn't he do it well) Superstition (See above)

In your opinion,
Indeed Will does an awesome version of this Donny Hathaway track, but it's even more awsome live, especially his version for the radio 2 concert from the Mermaid .

Princes Trust Concert
A Fantastic performance from Will, boy did he own that stage I just hope that we get to see his other two songs this morning on the reprise of the concert.

So how many of you have actually bought Gnarls and Crazy?
Yes physical single, but only got it last week though :D

T4 - Miming On The Beach
The calibre of the artists involved this year make it very much not a kids thing. The likes of these bands accepted the invite because they saw it as a 'festival' type gig where they would each perform a set. Unfortunately, the powers that be have only the TV programme in mind, where sets are cut and mimed performances fit in with the TV scheduling. Probably, solo singers like Will could still do it live with a backing track, but I don't think this is what he'd have had in mind when he signed up for the concert. Likewise all the other acts that are pulling out.

Daily Will Rant Thread. (anything, happy? sad? or angry?)
Do you know, I don't venture on that forum anymore, but last night, in view of Wills win, I decided to have a look. ;) Oh, dear, oh dear, oh dear, The very same person, seems to think that Will only one PI 'cos Darius was nobbled. It's very true, there's none so blind as those who won't see  Will won PI, 'cos he got the most votes, simple as that. And if further proof were needed, Will's still here, Darius is long gone and that fact is all down to the publics choice too. :D

Now why doesn't that suprise me ;) :D

Mikey's Sunday Chart Predictions
To be fair though, it's only a couple of chart shows and us internet types that lurk on sites like this, that think single sales have any importance at all. All my family buy music, my son probably buys 3or 4 c.ds every week, his collection is so big, he has a music room at his house where the things are stored. I bet he hasn't got 1 single amongst them. The only ones I've bought in years are Wills (for Bsides) and a couple of novelty ones, like Amirillo, for my 4 year old. :D

Mikey's Sunday Chart Predictions
I think you're right Val, but it's sound business sense. The purpose of every single is to promote an album. The artist & the label make peanuts from single sales anyway. Who Am I has been available for download for 5 months and as Keep On was Sony/BMGs biggest selling album download of 2005, there's a limit anyway, I would think to how many they estimate the single to sell this week. It's high on the airplay & Tv play charts, the video got plenty of publicity and the album's still selling well after 5 months. I would think all concerned are very happy (except perhaps, those who cant find a copy of Who Am I anywhere ;) )

will shayne be as big as will?
I think everyone is of the same opinion that Shayne needs to break from Cowell & Walsh if he's to have a lasting career. Just one problem, how the hell is he supposed to do that? Cowell & Walsh are hand in glove, of one mind as to their idea of a pop star. Their ideas are dated and based entirely around the success they've had with Westlife and the Swedish music factory. The only way he'll get away from them is if THEY don't want him anymore, if he starts to fail. Success will see him tied in tighter than a nuns corset. He's in a no win situation. If he sells like Westlife, he gets no respect from anyone, if he doesn't, he won't have a career. The one thing he certainly won't have, is his own choice in his future.

will shayne be as big as will?
As Will said, he can't make a straight video, and in the past, he's done the alternatives, walking on the beach on his own, straight to camera and a dance one. He's now developing a reputation for some very unique & quirky videos and anything that is different is bound to cause a reaction and provoke opinion. Love 'em or hate 'em, they get noticed and that can't be a bad thing :D

Daily Will Rant Thread. (anything, happy? sad? or angry?)
I was quite shocked by a couple of people on that thread the other day. I know for a fact that they break their necks almost to be at any live gig he does, then they start having a pop  There's a simple solution, stay away and give someone elsa a chance of a place for a change.

Daily Will Rant Thread. (anything, happy? sad? or angry?)
I'm grateful I've been out today and that thread's been locked before I could reply. Not my favourite performance from Will, but as always it was live, I'd never expect less from him. To have him compared unfavourably to a mimed performance by George, is really taking the Michael though I think

Will Young - Who Am I (Out Physically 24/4)
Yeah, It is £1.99, don't know where Amazon got that price from are they all £3.99 from that site?

Will Young - Who Am I (Out Physically 24/4)
I would have liked to see him get is 10th straight top 5 single, but not this time I think. It's a great song, had it been the first or second release, no probs, but the album has sold loads and Who Am I has been available for download for 5 months, so it ain't gonna happen. It's doing it's job though, selling the album, getting plenty of airplay and raising Wills profile for the upcoming tour

Shayne - sales
The things the c.ds are stacked on in the shops. :D

Gareth Gates & BMG Part Company
When any artist has a recording contract worth X amount of pounds, that is money up front to cover all the recording costs plus promotion and every other costs such as transport, clothes etc. needed for that promotion. The bigger the contract value, the better the co-writers & producers and the more promtion etc. that buys. Now, the downside is, the label will want to recover all of that up front contract money and then some. So, the word was that Will had a £500k contract for Keep On. According to Robbie Williams, the label make 3 quid clear profit per album. Will has sold well over 700k in physical sales of Keep On, making a profit for BMG of over £2.1 million pounds. Add to that his downloads, which were Sony/BMG biggest selling of 2005 and you see why Will will get a further contract with BMG for album no.4. If they can't re-coup the up front money from the artist and are in to a big loss situation, there's very little chance of that artist ever getting a second bite of the cherry, unless of course, the label spent next to nothing on them in the first place.

The BuzzJack Sunday Charts thread
Weren't they selling it for 99p this week at Woolworths?

Gareth Gates & BMG Part Company
Will & Gareth were on his S label straight after PI. Looks like that was a 2 album deal only. I think Simon Fuller is too shrewd to tie his acts up for too long without renegotiating. Wills last album didn't have the S logo on it anymore, but we knew he'd got a new 500k deal with Sony/BMG for Keep on early last year. He's used most of the big labels for his other acts, Spice Girls, S Club, Rachel Stevens etc., so he doesn't restrict himself to one record company, obviously looking for the best deal to get his percentage from ;)

Gareth Gates & BMG Part Company
Licenced from 19, all Simon Fullers PI acts are.
-
Gareth Gates & BMG Part Company
Simon Fuller has a reputation for being very loyal to his people. 19 have Gareths recording contract & management contract so they'll be looking around for a new deal for him I'm sure.

Gareth Gates & BMG Part Company
It's not just Vic Newton though is it? There's obviously been a press release from 19, but Miss Newton has grabbed the chance to slant the story as she sees fit
