I'm puzzled as to why they didn't announce all of the Voice's mentors at the same time. I would have thought they had a hit list of who they wanted and plenty of back up's if they didn't get their first choice. Perhaps they're holding out hoping for someone like Robbie or Adele to come on board.

I hope they ask him too because I think he would be great in the role. He works with young people within his charity and takes singing workshops. He has an honoury doctorate at Paul Mcartney's acadamey in Liverpool, he's a fantastic vocalist, a charming personality, in fact, he's tailor made for the job. :D It's just that if it comes to a toss up between overseas promotion and The Voice, I think he'd go with the former, and I rather hope he would too.

I don't think Will would do it even if it was offered. He seems to have his year planned and it's all about Echoes isn't it. :D
  4. I'm reserving judgement until I see it, but I'm not looking forward to this. Silly videos makes it look as though Will doesn't take the song seriously IMO and if he writes from the heart, sings from the heart, then to cheapen it all with a self indulgent video gives me the pip. Still, dogs always tug at the heart strings, so all may not be lost yet.
  5. As much as I like Runaway, this is the one song on the album that does not hold my attention until the end. I don't know why that is, but evry time I play it, I've drifted away from it before it ends. Come On isn't perhaps my favourite, but it builds throughout the song and it peaks right at the end. I think following straight on from Jealousy, it's a good choice. I've no idea what he'll choose for the next one, maybe Silent Valentine given that'll be released about that time, but whatever, he won't be lost for choice that's for sure.
  6. I expect these interviews are about promoting the tour. :D
  7. I wonder what he is filming today. This is obviously with David Tench & Rupert, so an acoustic performance for something or other I would think.

That's only in the short term though Chris . He's going to get another platinum out of this and a straight 6 in ten years is something he can be very, very proud of. I'm thrilled for him that Jealousy is selling so well too, because it's one of his own which is brilliant. :D
  9. I'm sure they will, I'm sure some loved it, probably everyone loved it and it was just me that didn't, but I can't help , and I certainly wouldn't deny anyone the pleasre of seeing it again..
  10. That is the only performance of Wills ever that I hated, hated the song and the whole camp routine. Sorry ladies if you loved it but I literally shrank in my chair as I watched and don't even want to visit youtube 4 years later to see it again.
  11. I'm really hoping this isn't promo for the second single just yet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this is a new strategy of performing a couple of different album tracks on high profile tv shows (HOF on Wossy) to keep the album alive until the second single kicks in much nearer Xmas. It would make perfect sense to me, but then, what do I know.

No, it wasn't officially confirmed although the news about Come On came from a DJ who seemed to be pretty confident that it would be the second single. Of course, it may have been chosen before the campaign for Echoes begun but maybe it was decided to have another look at the singles choices now all the songs are out there. :D

I sure Will will be nominated at the Brits next year again, but it's the critical acclaim he's been getting for Echoes that puts him in with his biggest chance yet of winning IMO. Maybe even a performance which would be the icing on the cake.

I did Gill and I haven't really changed my mind. There's still not been a track that has really jumped out at me, but as a cohesive album, I think it's brilliant.

It is hard to choose :D I see the guy who's a music reporter on DS has posted on PJ that Will's team are choosing the second single this week. He says he wouldn't know which one to choose as he loves them all :D Be interesting to see which one they choose, but I was never too convinced it would be Come On even though I like the track.

He's doing so well and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he's chosen the right single to sing on JR to generate some more sales. I'm not so sure about HOF myself, but as Will says, it's in the same vein as Jealousy, so maybe that's why it was chosen, also, it's a bit like a toned down version of History too and that took off on JR didn't it? :D
  17. Did anyone else notice the tweet from 'ON AIR WITH TONY' a few hours ago? It appears to be a radio station in LA and he was playing Will. I wonder what song it was.
  18. I know what you mean but, I saw him on Top Gear and had a complete change of heart about him . He's a very funny guy with a personality. Not keen on his voice, but as a person, I like him. :D Just thought that he may pull rank as the bigger album seller globally.
  19. At the risk of getting hounded out of the forum for ever ;) Wouldn't James Blunt be the most likely to grab the headline position now?

I wondered how much higher Jealousy would have charted had it had physicals. And hopefully airplay will be as good for the second single, fingers crossed. :D
  21. The thing with this album is that all the tracks are good. So many artists put out albums that have four/five obvious singles and the rest fillers. IMO, Outsider is the only track on Echoes that is definitely not single material, but it's because there's such a wide choice to pick from that there's such a variety of favourites being bandied about. I haven't seen an obvious front runner yet, maybe Silent Valentine is slightly ahead, but certainly no overwhelming favourite next single.
  22. There's a couple of tracks on the album that I wouldn't like as singles, but I can't pick a standout from the remaining 10, so Come on will do for me. :D I'm not a 100% convinced that this guy has got insider info though, I still think it could be anyone of the 12 when the official announcement is made.

I'm relieved that Pearl's moved on ;) There's nothing worse than an over eager fan buzzing around the net, defending any slightly negative opinion posted about a chosen one. It does the artists no favours whatsoever, often turns others against them in fact. Poor little Joe has to suffer it this time, thank goodness it's not Will. :D And like it or not Pearl. Joe's album is covers. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it's a duck. Nonetheless, hubby likes Joe and we shall buy it next time we're in the vicinity of HMV. :D
  24. I tried for tickets as I live in West Lodon, but like most people, I didn't have any luck. To be honest, I don't know what would be exclusive about Will performing old and new songs, this is what he does at all his gigs and yes, I'm disappointed if this is the 'big news' because it just sounds like another London date to me, which was much needed as the Shepherd's bush ones were standing or unreserved seating, so not an attractive proposition to a lot of people, hence not selling out yet.

Oooh, where did you find the news Sunday? It looks like he may go to the US with this one then, he's going to have to support the album if he wants to sell it surely.
