So sorry to hear that, couldn't happen at a worse time could it.. I hope you've got someone to spoil you a bit and that it doesn't stop you raising a glass (or two) with your good arm.

Wishing everyone a happy and peaceful Christmas.
  3. I think he is happy with them. Ged Doherty recognises that Will likes to do other things and it seems they indulge him. Apart from coming up with the odd album ;) he appears to be pretty free to do just what he likes with regards to other projects. Another label may not see past continual promotion, here and abroad, milking a cash cow.
  4. Thanks Sunday :D I haven't given up hope of an appearance. The first 'idol' to have a (greatest) HITS, surely has to be a milestone to mark on the show. That and the fact that half of the hits were released on Simon's original label might work in favour of another appearnce this year. Fingers crossed eh
  5. Well Heart are huge supporters of his pre LIG material and Capital seemed to have changed to a much more R&B/younger, newer artists driven format now I think. Probably not suprising because there are so many like Smooth, Magic and Heart who tend towards the MOR music. Capital used to be my station of choice in the car, but I haven't even programmed it in in the last two cars I've owned. It all changed for me when the likes of Foxy and Chris Tarrant went and mouthy gits like Lucio joined.
  6. I never doubted that R2 would support him, but in the end, I just got fed up with saying so. I can't see why people wouldn't accept that a Hits release is going to be treated differently from a studio album. That they'll probably only have the one shot at promting it and therefore, it's no good peaking too soon and missing that all important Xmas market. Let's hope he manages to shift a few units. :D
  7. Thanks Sunday :D Obviously not for the dance/pop album I would think, so, is he looking at album 7 or selling them to other artists.
  8. Oh joy  I don't know if I wanted it back in time for the R2 playlist update.

I wonder if I should enter, I've got two little babies, and I change nappies and make feeds and generally do all the necessary things, only thing is I'm their nanna, not their mum. :D
  10. Talking about Taio Cruz I see his album debuted at 14 last week with12,743 sales and he's just in the top 40 in todays midweeks. By comparison, his single was #1 for 3 weeks and has sold a total of 230, 896. Those single sales are peanuts for the label they must have wanted to see the album take off like the single did. I wonder if the continual pushing of a single via airplay and the music channels is doing the industry more harm than good. Yes, it's great to top the singles charts, but those album sales are pitiful.
  11. Do you think that was an editorial decision?

Thanks Ros ;) Until this flipping release is out there, I will remain convinced that the record company do not want to peak too soon, that the new single is not a priority at all, just a bonus as it says on the tin and, that their sole aim is to sell as many of the album as they can in the run up to Xmas. I shan't be running around anywhere naked if I'm proved wrong though, not even my own house.
  13. I'm as excited as you about the new album  You know, 8 years ago tomorrow is when Will first appeared on our tv screens and what a wonderful 8 years it's been. I only caught him by chance, because I wouldn't have even watched the show had my son not phoned to tell me to look out for Gareth. My son's friend had the same problem, couldn't get a word out at times, but sang without a trace of a stammer. I found Will and although I was sure Gareth would win, I just hoped that someone would see Will and give him a chance. So much has happened since, and to think the kid who was given just 6 months before returning to obscurity, is now talking about his 6th album, we'd never have believed it back then would we? :D

I thought the BRMB one that Tracey found was very good. If you missed that one Bev, look in the usual place. ;)

I think one of the girls recorded it, so it'll be up later. ;) Didn't sound as if there was too much promoting going on, no mention of the single or the tour and the DJ said the hits was out now, altogether not one of the better ones.
  16. It probably is Gill, I expect I'll be getting it in the neck when it's back on. ;) I certainly will be here in the run up to album 6, I'm going to have to go cold turkey with that site. :D BTW, talking about album 6, did anyone else think a 'niche project' might mean one that Will has financed himself and will not be releasing through Sony?

I'm not disappointed, not my place to be I don't think, it's up to Will what he does, but I don't have to like everything because it's Will and quite honestly,I'm not liking this at the moment. However, I'll wait and see what the finished product is like, but I'm far more interested in hearing the song, I wish the OS would put a some of that up.
  18. A lot didn't seem to realise Will was the 'backing singers' either, which suprised me. Only 6 weeks to go on Monday to the release, so we've got to hear something soon haven't we? I'm getting a bit nervous too about which radio stations will support it after the last two single releases .
  19. Yeah, I've been out this afternoon and logged on to catch up with any news and it's down again. It's been a very slow day today so I don't think we're missing much. It should all kick off soon though, once we hear the new song in full and see the video. :yahoo:
  20. He couldn't be doing a send up of the talent show auditions for the video, could he?
  21. Yes, I remember reading that. I think he was still looking for 'the big' single to lauch it with wasn't he? I bloody hope Will's found his .
  22. I hope there's more songs where that one came from. I think Will needs a f*ing brilliant one to lead off his next studio album (hopefully, next summer) :D
  23. Well, I already own the 12 hits, I've seen the videos loads of times and don't particularly want a disc of them, so I'm praying that the two bonus tracks don't turn out to be 'Amy' and 'Careful' Actually, I think I'm gonna give this a miss, other than to download the bonus tracks, and look forward to the tour and the release of the next studio album instead.
  24. Well done Sunday, hope you have a fabulous time and don't forget, we want every last detail that we'll miss with it being radio only. :D
  25. Last week was completely devoid of any news at all I think, one of the most boring weeks in a long time. Nevermind, the week before had so many things happening that it was all bound to be flat after that :D Next weekend is V festival, so if nothing else, there'll be a bit of discussion about that :P
