Will's not releasing any earlier than anyone else does nowadays. The norm seems to be 3 or 4 albums, Will's done 4 in 7 years and this is a collection of his hit singles 12 in total, plus two bonus tracks. that's exactly the same number of tracks that Annie Lennox put on her collection this year, and she seemed to do ok with it. ;) I think too that none of these artists have much say as to whether a GH is released or not, it just seems to be the way the record labels decide to round off an album deal. Those that you mentioned were Sony artists too, just like Will.

I remember Ged Doherty saying in one interview that Will likes to do other things. I think it was after he went to see him in the Vortex and to discuss his new album with him. I had the impression that they give him some line, and then reel him in when he needs to get cracking on some music :D

I think so too and if so, it's going to be interesting to see exactly what style the lead single will be on the Hits album. If it really is a CH collaboration, then I think Sony might just indulge Will witha more dance/pop led album next time. he would have already submitted some material and what he wants to do before he signed on the dotted line, wouldn't he? :D

I hope whoever he signs his next contract with, whether it's Sony or a new label, they'll want to get a new album out as soon as possible, so fingers crossed for something within the next 18 months. :dance:

Have to be honest and say, I'm not too fussed about SL as a producer, but the thought of a live recording with full orchestra got my attention :P I'm never to keen on the 'one size fits all' type and if he's working with RK, I don't want any of that rubbing off on Will. :D

I wonder why that person doubts it would be Will doing a live recording with a full orchestra, actually, whether it is him or not, I think that's just what Will would want to do. If there really is going to be a GH with a new lead single, then it's got to be good, and Will's at his very best when he's live, so why not, just for one, or maybe two tracks, splash out, do it live and with a full orchestra as well. :D

I wonder why SL isn't using Sarm studios, he did last time I think, because it's owned by his mate Trevor Horn, unless TH is doing Robbie's stuff there.

Huge apparently, far more than for the main stage according to tweeters last night :D I think it's bloody great that even though Will isn't playing the biggest stages at these festivals, the punters are flocking to see him, packing the tents, watching on screens outside if they can't get in and, like last night, choosing to see him over other acts that the organisers have chosen as the main players. He hasn't had media publicity for his festival appearances, but word must spread somehow, because he's attracted some great crowds at all of his sets, he loves it, they love him and he's done himself proud each time.

But who?. Blimey, even on both our sites you could count the ones that went to Glastonbury on one hand :D Or do you know something we don't know. :naughty:

Is that really a big enough audience to make a difference though? I mean he's performing to non fans all the time, these corporate gigs he does for example. He's got a captive audience there who for the most part are probably not fans anyway. ;) Whatever the reason for keeping it a secret, I don't think for one minute it would be to avoid his fans, let's face it, the likelihood of there being a coach trip of Will diehards to Glastonbury that day (all wanting the front row ;) ) would be very remote. :D

I don't think that's the case for one minute. Glastonbury was sold out long before Will was announced, so the audience watching him in the Lounge or the Avalon tent would have had their tickets regardless, there wouldn't have been any reason to expect the Lounge would be packed with Will's hardcore fans. ;) My thoughts were that he wasn't officially announced for the Lounge because there was a possibilty he might not have made it on time (which he nearly didn't) because he only arrived that day.

Happy Birthday chrysalis, sorry you've not been lucky with tickets yet. I've got Block 9 Row C Circle for Hammersmith and I'm very happy with those too. This was my first time at getting tickets at a pre sale and I must have been lucky, thanks to the Devotee who posted the link, I was on and offered a few mid row stalls before the circle ones came up, but none of them were bad seats, just that I remembered this circle block were recommended by Theatre Monkey, so I bagged the ones I remembered :D

I think most of us are guessing that this is the deal and a GH is the final release of the current contract. with SBMG.

I agree with you and I'm hoping that he's got one or two new tracks on there to promote it with, hopefully one of them at least being 'monster' as you say. :D

I'd be amazed if this didn't happen and with a tour to support it too. Three Piece Suit wrote a great post back at the beginning of April over on D with some very positive points about the possibility of a GH release either this year or next. As he sadi at the time, the question wasn't 'why a GH' but more 'when'. Everyone does it and it's usually after the release of 3 or 4 studio albums.

I didn't realise he was with BB too, I know he was with Eg & Alice. I remember Nathan Moore being in BB, his sister lives a couple of doors from my son. :D

Thanks Sunday, that was a swift name change :D , I think he got some queries after that tweet, realised he was mentioning stuff that wasn't for public consumption yet, and deleted it poste haste. (That's my hopeful theory. :D ) I'm sure DJs get the nod about what's coming up in their city, them and the media must have so many contacts where they get info from. :D

That's good :D I wonder if this is a one off summer gig, all proceeds going to the Mood foundation. So, two DJ's have hinted about a tour. To be honest, I can't see how he cannot do one. With c.d sales being so precarious for all artists, Will and others have got to get out there and do it live I think. Have you seen how many arena's Cliff Richard is doing. He rarely troubles the charts, only his diehards seem to buy his music now, but boy, can he ever sell out a live concert. :D

I think he is the new b/f munchkin. I bet the girls are there as a smokescreen to take the heat off for a while when they're out in public together. :D
