  2. Added week 746.
  3. This Week's #1 Single Michael Aldag Carousel Seventh chart topper hit for British singer Michael Aldag. Fourth #1 to be taken from The Carousel, Michael's second studio album, which came out last week. It follows Fantasia, Happy and Hell (the first two of which also featured on the Crying in the Club EP, a precursor to The Carousel). The entire tracklist of The Carousel has peaked in the top 20, with Palaces and Bodyback, the only other previously unreleased songs, debuting this week. All previously released singles have top 10 peaks. Michael's 25th top 10 hit, stemming back a little over four years to breakthrough smash Teenage Drama. The Carousel is Michael's fourth #1 project in my album chart, following previous album sorry for everything, as well as EPs SOCIALIZING and Crying in the Club. We don't have a higher-than-usual number of guests online at all, 264 total users at the time of writing, we see lag issues when it's 10x that, so I'm not convinced bots are the issue right now. I've let Phil now anyway so he'll take a look when he's around.

  10. Future chart hit? Bebe Rexha Hysteria Promotional single from Dirty Blonde Released: 3rd April 2026 Label: Bebe Rexha Music / EMPIRE Video Biography What do pop-punk pin-up Pete Wentz, rap diva Nicki Minaj, Top 40 queen Selena Gomez, and country hitmakers Florida Georgia Line have in common? They’ve all been drawn into the orbit of singer/songwriter Bebe Rexha. Born in 1989, the Brooklyn native has left her fingerprints all over the modern musical landscape through her high-profile songwriting credits, her many genre-hopping collaborations, and her own brutally frank yet undeniably effervescent dance-pop bops. It was Wentz who first spotted Rexha’s potential, when the Fall Out Boy founder invited her to bring her sassy vocals to his short-lived electro side project Black Cards in 2011. After striking out on her own, Rexha initially found success as a writer for the likes of Gomez (“Like a Champion”) and Eminem (“The Monster”), and as a guest singer on David Guetta’s 2015 Top 10 clap-happy banger, “Hey Mama”, providing a chorus hook almost towering enough to overshadow Minaj. But since releasing her own debut EP, I Don’t Wanna Grow Up, that same year, Rexha has applied her pop smarts to songs that are unafraid to dredge up all sorts of messy emotions. Never shy about quoting her therapist in song, Rexha lays her mental-health struggles bare on singles like “I’m Gonna Show You Crazy” and “I’m a Mess”, translating self-loathing into unapologetic anthems. But her 2017 honky-trap hoedown with Florida Georgia Line on “Meant to Be” showcased a sweeter side, cementing Rexha’s crossover appeal to club kids and heartland romantics alike. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2014 05 Take Me Home (Cash Cash feat. Born and raised in 1994 in the northeastern English town of North Shields, the singer/songwriter first picked up a guitar at age 10 and began playing gigs locally as a teen to help support him and his mother. But it wasn’t until he started writing music for himself—rather than what he thought others wanted to hear—that everything started to click. That’s when he wrote his 2017 debut single, “Play God”, a propulsive, politically charged slice of indie rock. It came from a place of deep desperation, “a time where I was like, ‘I need to prove myself. I need to do something that cuts through,’” he told Apple Music. The track earned him a slot on BBC’s Sound of 2018 shortlist, which led to a deal with Polydor Records and the release of his acclaimed 2019 debut, Hypersonic Missiles, an album that channels modern-day anxiety through heartfelt heartland rock. The brainchild of Australian musician Kevin Parker, Tame Impala serve as both a blistering and blissed-out exercise in expansion—of sound, space, and the mind. “I’m the most creative when I’m uncomfortable,” Parker told Apple Music. “The idea of doing what I’m already good at is boring because it’s always gotta be a little bit frightening.” That fear has been a powerful motivator for Parker, who started Tame Impala in 2007 from his Perth home. His appetite for guitar experimentation—powered by an arsenal of reverb, phaser, delay, and fuzz pedals—made his 2010 debut album, InnerSpeaker, one of the year’s standout indie releases. On 2012’s Lonerism, he loaded up on synths, found inspiration in Todd Rundgren, and locked into woozy pop grooves made of both dreams (“Be Above It”) and nightmares (“Feels Like We Only Go Backwards”). He also got far more personal. As Parker has looked further inward, his music—and musical circle—has continued to expand outward. By the mid-2010s, he was collaborating with Mark Ronson, producing Gaga, and inspiring Rihanna (who covered “New Person, Same Old Mistakes”). But Tame Impala has remained his “sacred space,” an outlet that has allowed him to embrace funk (2015’s Currents), dance music (2020’s The Slow Rush), and all the infinite possibilities yet to be discovered. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2019 79 Patience -1- 2020 59 Breathe Deeper -4- 2020 78 Borderline -2- 2020 89 Lost In Yesterday -3- 2022 56 New Gold (Gorillaz feat. 16. 04 | 04 | 4th week Harry Styles American Girls 2nd single from Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally. Released: 6th March 2026 Label: Erskine Records Chart Statistics NE (19/03/2026) | 1-3-4-4 Sales: 100,000+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio 01 Sales 03 Audio Streaming 06 Video Streaming Video Biography Not everyone gets famous as a teenager—and even fewer escape the experience intact. So congratulations to Harry Styles, who would’ve been fine had he retired after One Direction but instead went on to become one of the more interesting and adventurous pop stars of his era. “I think there’s a lot of things that used to feel like, Okay, there’s a part of your life, then there’s a hard stop, then there’s a next part of your life,” he told Apple Music around the release of 2022’s Grammy-winning Harry’s House. “Things that used to feel so unbelievably foreign to me, sort of terrifying—like, I’m not 19 anymore, so I’m less terrified. And realising [life’s] just one thing, and not chapter over, bye-bye.” Perspective: It helps, whether you’re out there in front of 50,000 people or performing the very first Apple Music Live session. Part of what made One Direction great was that they never shied away from the pleasures of boy-band pop but never patronised their audiences, either: Never mind the no-dancing policy; they wrote their own songs and cultivated their own musical perspectives. Beyond his precision-tooled indie-curious pastiche of classic pop, soft-rock, psychedelia and soul, Styles’ lyrics capture a playfulness and emotional specificity that feels unusual for pop so big, whether it’s the flirtation of “Music for a Sushi Restaurant” (“Green eyes/Fried rice/I could cook an egg on you”) or the image of a kid outrunning an unhappy home on “Matilda” (“You were riding your bike to the sound of ‘It’s No Big Deal’”). That life he’s pontificating about? Listen to the music and you can almost hear him living it. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2017 01 Sign Of The Times -1- MILLIONAIRE 2017 46 Sweet Creature -IG- 2017 51 Carolina -AT- 2017 58 Two Ghosts -2- 2017 64 Meet Me In The Hallway -AT- 2017 66 Kiwi -3- 2017 80 Only Angel -AT- 2017 87 Ever Since New York -AT- 2017 99 Woman -AT- 2019 03 Lights Up -1- 2019 04 Watermelon Sugar -4- MILLIONAIRE 2019 07 Adore You -2- MILLIONAIRE 2019 15 Falling -3- MILLIONAIRE 2020 26 Golden -5- MILLIONAIRE 2022 01 As It Was -1- MILLIONAIRE 2022 02 Late Night Talking -2- MILLIONAIRE 2022 03 Music For A Sushi Restaurant -3- 2022 37 Matilda -AT- 2023 18 Satellite -4- 2026 01 Aperture -1- 2026 01 American Girls -2- 2026 05 Ready, Steady, Go! -AT- 4 x #1 | 9 x Top 5 | 10 x Top 10 | 12 x Top 20 | 14 x Top 40 | 22 x Top 100 Social Media Harry Styles
  17. 05 | 02 | 2nd week BTS SWIM 1st single from ARIRANG Released: 20th March 2026 Label: BIGHIT MUSIC Chart Statistics NE (02/04/2026) | 2-5 Sales: 50,000+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio 01 Sales 27 Audio Streaming 02 Video Streaming Video Biography Calling BTS a boy band is a little like calling a computer a typewriter with a screen. Yes, they sing. Yes, they dance. Yes, they have cool haircuts and their outfits always match in an interesting way. But they also represent the power of pop music—simple, catchy pop music—as a force for social transformation, touching on subjects—mental health, LGBTQ identity, class inequity—taboo not just in their native South Korea but in the sunshine-and-rainbows world of mass-market culture generally. The official name of their fans (the ARMY), is an acronym for “Adorable Representative MC for Youth”. But the subtext is clear: These are people willing to fight for what they believe. Formed in 2010 by K-pop impresario Bang Si-hyuk, 방탄소년단 (or Bangtan Sonyeondan), aka BTS—members V, j-hope, RM, Jin, Jimin, Jungkook and SUGA—swiftly became not only one of the biggest groups in South Korea (and eventually the best-selling artists in the country’s history), but an emblem for K-pop’s migration into mainstream global pop—a feat made even more impressive by the fact that the band sing almost entirely in Korean. More than just developing a brand, BTS crafted a rich, reference-heavy alternate universe that invoked things like Jungian psychoanalysis and Nietzschean philosophy—not your most bankable teen-pop references. (The video to their 2016 track “Blood Sweat & Tears” is, if not the only music video in history to feature both a coordinated dance routine and a quote from the Hermann Hesse novel Demian, certainly the only one to have been watched more than half a billion times.) But for as dense as the band’s mythology can get, their presence remains simple, clear and uplifting. In 2017, they partnered with UNICEF in a campaign to protect young people from violence; the next year, their fans raised over $1 million in an effort to alleviate childhood malnutrition. SUGA once promised that if he got rich, he would buy his fans beef—a luxury in Korea. On his 25th birthday, he donated nearly $20,000 of it to orphanages. And he did it in ARMY’s name. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2017 90 DNA -1- 2017 43 MIC Drop (feat. Instead, the Swedish singer feels most on point when she’s able to “just feel it.” Larsson’s ability to convey that mix of youthful confidence and emotional intensity helped make her one of Europe’s biggest new music stars while she was still in her teens. Born in 1997 in a suburb of Stockholm, Larsson first found fame in Sweden when her performance of Céline Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” clinched her victory on a TV talent show at the age of 10. After leaving school to focus on her music full time, she released her debut album, 1, in 2014, which topped the charts throughout Scandinavia and landed her a U.S. record deal. By the time she was scoring international hits alongside rapper Tinie Tempah on “Girls Like” and guesting on David Guetta’s “This One’s for You”, she was fast developing beyond the familiar dance-pop templates and demonstrating a boldness that evoked Beyoncé and Rihanna, two of her biggest influences. (She paid tribute to another inspiration a few years later when she released a sumptuous cover of Robyn’s “With Every Heartbeat”.) “Never Forget You”, a thrilling collaboration with singer and producer MNEK that also marked Larsson’s first songwriting effort, became her first major U.S. success. Together with the album So Good, the song established the power and allure of Larsson’s sleek yet impassioned brand of EDM-powered pop. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2015 05 Never Forget You (MNEK & Zara Larsson) -1- MILLIONAIRE 2016 03 Lush Life -2- MILLIONAIRE 2016 05 Girls Like (Tinie Tempah feat. When a multimillion-dollar bidding war erupted for his services in 2018, before there was any finished music available to the public, the rumours abounded: he was really a front for a crew of songwriters or other insiders. But in truth, there is no surprise, no twist: Fike is an oh-so-real product of the post-Post Malone world. Born in Naples, Florida, in 1995, of Filipino and African American heritage, the artist swerves between a mellow Jack Johnson beach vibe that suddenly shoots into Frank Ocean-style emotional brokenness. His deeply human 2020 album debut, What Could Possibly Go Wrong, put an end to any lingering doubts that he’s anything but a wonder. Fike asks himself, “What’s it like being famous?” on “Good Game” and sings about eating crisp-fried strips of succulent white meat in fancy hotel rooms on “Chicken Tenders”. What makes his lyrics charming is that none of the success seems real to Fike yet as he shyly emerges to explore this brave new world. Meanwhile, the music is fizzy, with the beats constantly shifting and dropping out abruptly. The true reveal is “Vampire”, where Fike sounds wary of night creatures, and on his way to becoming one. And the South London singer-songwriter (born Rachel Agatha Keen in 1997) has quite the knack for writing them. Nominated for the Songwriter of the Year Ivor Novello Award in 2022, RAYE first broke through in 2014 with her star-signalling self-released debut EP, Welcome to the Winter, followed by the Stormzy-featuring Second EP two years later. A stream of singles and collaborations, including with Stefflon Don, Mr Eazi and Jax Jones, hinted at an artist who could shape-shift between musical spheres—and excel wherever she landed. But despite such successes (her name has also featured on the credits of songs by artists such as Beyoncé, Ellie Goulding, Little Mix and John Legend), RAYE felt trapped behind the scenes. In 2021—just months after the release of her chart-topping dance-pop anthem “BED” alongside Joel Corry and David Guetta—the singer-songwriter wrote on social media that she hadn’t been “allowed” to release her debut album and that she was “sick of being slept on” by her label, an allegation that sent shockwaves through the music industry. And it was then that RAYE returned to those stories, as she came to work on her long-awaited 2023 debut LP, My 21st Century Blues, as an independent artist. On it, she explores being a young woman in music and the trauma of sexual assault and substance abuse, but also the things any woman RAYE’s age might be moved to write about: climate change, relationships ending, falling in love with someone new. “This is about me telling the stories I want to tell, in the order I want to tell them, through the sonic landscape I want to tell them,” RAYE told Apple Music at the time of the album’s release. My 21st Century Blues, she added, wasn’t made with mainstream success in mind, yet that’s exactly what it brought. After the confronting “Hard Out Here.” and the made-for-repeat-listening “Black Mascara.”, she unleashed “Escapism.” featuring 070 Shake, a viral hit on both sides of the Atlantic and the biggest song of RAYE’s up to that point. It signalled, without doubt, that her time had come. “It is just the most beautiful validation,” said RAYE. “To know that you’re right to back yourself when you feel conviction and you feel passionately about something. I made this [album] battling and figuring out freedom, and I’m so excited for the artist I get to become. This has set the tone for me.” - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History RAYE 2016 15 By Your Side (Jonas Blue feat. RAYE) 2016 03 You Don't Know Me (Jax Jones feat.
