Joseph's Hit 40 | Week 769
This Week's #1 Single Natalie Imbruglia Beautiful Love First #1 hit for Australian singer and actress Natalie Imbruglia. Sixth top 10 hit, and first since Invisible Things almost five years ago. Fourth single taken from seventh studio album Algorithm, which becomes her second chart-topper in my album chart this week. Previous single Just Drive re-enters my chart at a new peak of #18, while previously uncharted second single Algorithm makes a belated debut at #13. It's an official #1 regardless though so I doubt it really matters, she's got the #1 peak to her name and she'll get the trophy from the OCC so it doesn't really matter if it's not the #1 when ACR is removed, because this chart is the "real" one.

Future chart hit? Slayyyter crank 2 2nd single from WOR$T MAN IN AMERICA Released: 11th September 2026 Label: RECORDS Label / Columbia Records Video Biography From her breakthrough 2019 self-titled mixtape to her 2021 debut Troubled Paradise and 2023’s STARFUCKER, SLAYYYTER proved herself to be one of the great shape-shifters of our time, taking the past, present, and future of pop and twisting it to her will. Early successes — “Daddy AF” went from viral hit making SLAYYYTER’s name online to soundtracking a key scene in the Oscar Best Picture winner Anora — fueled accolades from publications including Billboard, Paper, Variety, Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, and more, while earning SLAYYYTER opening slots with forebears like Tove Lo and Kesha. But even with all that, SLAYYYTER decided something wasn’t quite right. She decided to become who she was all along, underneath it all: the WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA. SLAYYYTER’s third album is the most authentically her, while also boasting her most fully realized creative direction yet. She revisited her upbringing in St. Louis, and decided to make “iPod music” — a free-for-all of feral punk, corroded pop, and raunchy rap — conjuring the “Midwest-core tweaker bar rat” characters of her youth. Early singles “BEAT UP CHANEL$,” “CANNIBALISM!,” and “CRANK” steadily built hype for the project over the course of 2025, with fans fervently embracing the raw, swaggering Slayyyter that emerged from the ashes of her past selves. WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA is both revelation and evolution, killing the SLAYYYTER we thought we knew so SLAYYYTER could be born for real. - Spotify Top 100 Chart History 2026 86 DANCE... -1- 2026 72 brand new chanel$ -1- 2026 xx crank 2 -2- 0 x #1 | 0 x Top 5 | 0 x Top 10 | 0 x Top 20 | 0 x Top 40 | 2 x Top 100 Social Media Slayyyter

I think this kind of outlook just nullifies any actual talent the artist has, though - obviously how good Boston or Stella's music in general is is entirely subjective, and that's fine, but it almost suggests there's absolutely no musical merit to be found in a "nepo baby"'s career. I don't think Boston is the best song ever, and it's certainly not the most creative, but it's a pretty good use of an interpolation I find and she's got a good voice. There's also plenty of "nepo baby" artists who don't have a hit as big as Boston so I think the song does deserve credit (and that obviously doesn't mean anyone has to like it!).

While scoring hits like 2022's "Damn You," the Alabama-raised singer/songwriter penned Elle King's similarly outspoken "Out Yonder." Langley's banner 2023 included the release of her EP Excuse the Mess -- which featured the singles "Country Boy's Dream Girl" and "That's Why We Fight (featuring Koe Wetzel)" -- the Tanner Usrey duet "Beautiful Lies," and her Grand Ole Opry debut, all of which led up to the 2024 release of her booze-stained debut album, the Billboard 200-charting hungover. It included her Hot 100 Top 40 debut, "You Look Like You Love Me" (featuring Riley Green). She returned in 2026 with the Billboard 200-topping Dandelion, featuring her viral hit "Choosin' Texas," a song co-written by Miranda Lambert. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2024 59 you look like you love me (Ella Langley & Riley Green) -1*- 2026 01 Choosin' Texas -1- 2026 28 Be Her -2- 2026 77 Bottom Of Your Boots -AT- 2026 68 I Can't Love You Anymore (Ella Langley & Morgan Wallen) -3- 2026 78 weren't for the wind -2*- 1 x #1 | 1 x Top 5 | 1 x Top 10 | 1 x Top 20 | 2 x Top 40 | 6 x Top 100 Social Media Ella Langley

Lefty released a handful of tracks the year before (including the Tragic, Really EP) that flirted with more traditional, organic pop influences. But the singer has cited inspiration from Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and even Keith Whitley, which made the acoustic guitar-and-banjo-driven mini-breakthrough "Thinking 'Bout You" a fair evolution toward something different. After releasing another catchy country-pop tune, "Slow Dancin'" (and a moody outlier, "The Kill," from the soundtrack to Scream 7), it was the mere chorus of "Boston," inspired by a romance blossoming between trips to Nashville to work with fellow songwriters and interpolating Noah Kahan's Top Ten "Stick Season," that inspired a frenzy on social media. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2026 04 Boston -1- 2026 87 I Know I Know -2- 0 x #1 | 1 x Top 5 | 1 x Top 10 | 1 x Top 20 | 1 x Top 40 | 2 x Top 100 Social Media STELLA LEFTY

Born and raised in 1994 in the northeastern English town of North Shields, the singer/songwriter first picked up a guitar at age 10 and began playing gigs locally as a teen to help support him and his mother. But it wasn’t until he started writing music for himself—rather than what he thought others wanted to hear—that everything started to click. That’s when he wrote his 2017 debut single, “Play God”, a propulsive, politically charged slice of indie rock. It came from a place of deep desperation, “a time where I was like, ‘I need to prove myself. I need to do something that cuts through,’” he told Apple Music. The track earned him a slot on BBC’s Sound of 2018 shortlist, which led to a deal with Polydor Records and the release of his acclaimed 2019 debut, Hypersonic Missiles, an album that channels modern-day anxiety through heartfelt heartland rock. His 2021 follow-up, Seventeen Going Under, hit even harder, pumped full of soaring arrangements and bold statements that continue to prove Fender’s power as a mighty millennial voice for the working class. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History Sam Fender 2019 89 Play God -1- 2019 48 Hypersonic Missiles -2- MILLIONAIRE 2019 43 Will We Talk? -3- MILLIONAIRE 2019 59 The Borders -IG- 2021 03 Seventeen Going Under -1- MILLIONAIRE 2021 48 Get You Down -2- 2021 41 Spit Of You -3- 2022 47 Getting Started -4- 2022 61 Alright -PS- 2022 71 Wild Grey Ocean -5- 2024 05 Homesick (Noah Kahan & Sam Fender) 2024 04 People Watching -1- 2025 14 Arm's Length -2- 2025 94 Wild Long Lie -IG- 2025 48 Remember My Name -IG- 2025 24 Little Bit Closer -3- 2025 78 Tyrants -PS- 2025 01 Rein Me In (Sam Fender & Olivia Dean) -4- MILLIONAIRE 2025 20 Talk To You (Sam Fender & Elton John) -5- 1 x #1 | 4 x Top 5 | 4 x Top 10 | 6 x Top 20 | 7 x Top 40 | 19 x Top 100 Olivia Dean 2021 19 The Christmas Song -NAS- 2025 36 It Isn't Perfect But It Might Be -OST- 2025 17 Dive -1- MILLIONAIRE 2025 04 Nice To Each Other -1- MILLIONAIRE 2025 01 Rein Me In (Sam Fender & Olivia Dean) MILLIONAIRE 2025 38 Lady Lady -IG- 2025 01 Man I Need -2- MILLIONAIRE 2025 02 So Easy (To Fall In Love) -3- MILLIONAIRE 2025 13 A Couple Minutes -AT- 2025 21 Let Alone The One You Love -AT- 2026 19 The Hardest Part -1*- MILLIONAIRE 2026 30 Baby Steps -4- 2 x #1 | 4 x Top 5 | 4 x Top 10 | 8 x Top 20 | 12 x Top 40 | 12 x Top 100 Social Media Sam Fender Olivia Dean

Rodrigo was only 18 when she released her debut album, SOUR, a breakup record with a meticulous rage: “Where’s my f***ing teenage dream?” she wondered on “brutal”, the album’s Elastica-recalling opener. GUTS followed in 2023, with Rodrigo and repeat producer/collaborator Dan Nigro placing her pointillistic lyrics in an expanded sonic palette that incorporated influences from off-kilter ’90s acts like The Breeders and B******e Surfers. In the same 2026 interview, she described each of her albums as a journey of self-discovery—including that year’s you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love. Observing that it’s the first album she’d made as a woman in her twenties, Rodrigo hinted at how she traded angst for joy on several tracks. But even then, there should still be enough visceral realism to keep fans poring over every lyrical detail. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2020 32 All I Want -OST- 2021 01 drivers license -1- MILLIONAIRE 2021 04 deja vu -2- MILLIONAIRE 2021 01 good 4 u -3- MILLIONAIRE 2021 05 traitor -4- MILLIONAIRE 2021 17 favorite crime -AT- 2021 36 jealousy, jealousy -AT- 2023 01 vampire -1- MILLIONAIRE 2023 03 bad idea right? -2- 2023 07 get him back! -3- 2023 45 the grudge -AT- 2023 12 Can't Catch Me Now -OST- 2023 78 all-american bitch -AT- 2024 10 obsessed -4- 2024 24 so american -AT- 2024 58 stranger -AT- 2026 01 drop dead -1- 2026 02 the cure -2- 2026 02 stupid song -3- 2026 30 honeybee -AT- 2026 56 expectations -AT- 2026 52 serena joy -NAS- 4 x #1 | 9 x Top 5 | 11 x Top 10 | 13 x Top 20 | 17 x Top 40 | 22 x Top 100 Social Media Olivia Rodrigo

07 | 18 | 18th week Dua Lipa Training Season 2nd single from Radical Optimism Released: 15th February 2024 Label: Dua Lipa Chart Statistics NE (29/02/2024) | 4-8-8-9-9-11-13-13-15-60-66-61-94-x RE (11/07/2024) | 83-99-x RE (03/09/2026) | 53-18-7 Sales: 900,000+ Certification: Platinum Status: Standard Chart Ratio 01 Sales 07 Audio Streaming 23 Video Streaming Video Biography Even when the mood dips, you can expect Dua Lipa’s euphoric pop to land back on the bright side eventually. “I’ve always seen the positive side of things, of being able to grow and move forward and change your perspective regardless of what’s happening in your life,” she told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe in 2024. Empowerment for both herself and for other women has always been central to the blockbuster singer-songwriter. Born in London to Kosovar Albanian parents in 1995, Lipa immediately stood out with her 2017 self-titled debut, thanks to the triumphant breakup smash “New Rules,” the self-love anthem “IDGAF,” and the assured “Hotter Than Hell”—making it clear that this was no ingénue, but rather an outspoken, effortlessly cool face of pop’s future. Making history as the first female solo artist to receive five BRIT Award nominations, Lipa soon added several Grammy Awards to her mantelpiece and jumped dramatically to the next level with 2020’s Future Nostalgia, a uniting force of positivity released at the dawn of global lockdowns. Her breezy confidence has made her a versatile collaborator with everyone from DJ superstar Calvin Harris to country singer Chris Stapleton, and her Barbie-inspired 2023 hit “Dance the Night” built naturally upon the savvy disco revisionism of Future Nostalgia. By the time of 2024’s Radical Optimism, Lipa had her absolute pick of creative partners—and she chose Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, whom she had fantasized about working with ever since being “completely shook” by Tame’s 2015 opus Currents. Also in the mix were songwriting guns Tobias Jesso Jr. and Caroline Ailin and a timely assemblage of inventive producers. If Radical Optimism is more textured and nuanced than Future Nostalgia, singles like “Houdini” and “Illusion” retain the glide and snap of classic dance pop, while the lyrics probe deeper into her own personal experience. That gives Lipa’s newer material a mounting sense of being forged in the fire of heartbreak and healing, bringing the unmistakable glint of honesty to diva-level pop radiance like “Falling Forever.” - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2016 15 Hotter Than Hell -2- MILLIONAIRE 2016 30 Blow Your Mind (Mwah) -3- 2016 10 No Lie (Sean Paul feat. Because they come directly from personal experience. “I would never, ever write something that wasn’t true or didn’t happen to me,” she told Apple Music’s Rebecca Judd in 2025. “It’s not interesting to me. It doesn’t do anything for me to make it up, because I’ve got to go out and sing it for maybe the rest of my life.” Born in 1999 in the London Borough of Haringey and raised in Highams Park, Dean dabbled in gospel choir and busking before studying music theatre and songwriting at the prestigious BRIT School. Spanning a series of EPs beginning in 2019, early tracks like “Ok Love You Bye” revealed her evergreen soul and jazz influences while proving just how nimble yet emotional she could be as a singer and songwriter alike. Dean dug deeper into smouldering neo-soul with “Dive”, from her 2023 debut album Messy, but 2025 is when everything really happened for her. That year alone, she duetted with Sam Fender on “Rein Me In” before scoring her biggest global hits to date with the Fleetwood Mac-esque “Nice to Each Other” and the wonderfully retro “Man I Need”, the latter gilded with breezy funk and gospel flourishes. Both tracks appeared on her second album, The Art of Loving, and suddenly, she was selling out consecutive nights at London’s O2 Arena. At this rate, Dean will indeed be singing these songs—and many more to come—for the rest of her life. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2021 19 The Christmas Song -NAS- 2025 36 It Isn't Perfect But It Might Be -OST- 2025 17 Dive -1- MILLIONAIRE 2025 04 Nice To Each Other -1- MILLIONAIRE 2025 01 Rein Me In (Sam Fender & Olivia Dean) MILLIONAIRE 2025 38 Lady Lady -IG- 2025 01 Man I Need -2- MILLIONAIRE 2025 02 So Easy (To Fall In Love) -3- MILLIONAIRE 2025 13 A Couple Minutes -AT- 2025 21 Let Alone The One You Love -AT- 2026 19 The Hardest Part -1*- MILLIONAIRE 2026 30 Baby Steps -4- 2 x #1 | 4 x Top 5 | 4 x Top 10 | 8 x Top 20 | 12 x Top 40 | 12 x Top 100 Social Media Olivia Dean

Born to an impoverished family in Tennessee in 1946 (in humble upbringings that would inspire such songs as “Coat of Many Colors”), she started singing in church, received a guitar at age eight and performed on regional radio programmes as a kid. She moved to Nashville the day after her high school graduation in 1964 and quickly signed with Monument Records. Her first charting single, 1966’s “Dumb Blonde”, introduced her as a fun-loving but independent woman confident enough to flout stereotypes and command her own destiny. In the late ’60s, Parton enjoyed huge success as a regular on Porter Wagoner’s weekly TV show and through a long string of collaborative hits. But she became even more popular as a solo artist, particularly with a pair of 1974 hits: the aching “I Will Always Love You”—which Parton wrote about needing to strike out on her own without Wagoner—and the timeless “Jolene”, with its poignant minor-key mode and emotional intensity. In 1981, Parton landed her first pop No. 1 hit, the blue-collar anthem “9 to 5”, and co-starred in the comedy film of the same name. She then had the biggest smash of her career in 1983 with “Islands In the Stream”, an easygoing romantic duet with Kenny Rogers. Further collaborations—like her albums with Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris, plus cameos on songs by Kesha and Miley Cyrus (her goddaughter)—expanded Parton’s legacy through the end of the 20th century and well into the 21st. Over time, she became involved in endeavours like her namesake Dollywood theme park, a 9 to 5 Broadway musical and the literacy-focused Imagination Library. But Parton’s latter-day work—including a series of stripped-down bluegrass albums and 2023’s Rockstar, a rock ’n’ roll album released upon her Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction—showed that her musical gifts contained multitudes. She passed away in August 2026 at age 80. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 1976 06 Jolene -1- MILLIONAIRE 1981 05 9 To 5 -1- MILLIONAIRE 1983 07 Islands In The Stream (Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton) MILLIONAIRE 1984 75 Here You Come Again -1- 1984 88 Christmas Without You (Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton) -1- 1994 64 The Day I Fall In Love (Dolly Parton & James Ingram) -OST- 1998 86 Peace Train -1- 2002 73 If -1- 2011 67 Together You And I -1- 2020 55 Cuddle Up, Cozy Down Christmas (Dolly Parton & Michael Bublé) -1- 2025 83 TYRANT (Beyoncé & Dolly Parton) 0 x #1 | 1 x Top 5 | 3 x Top 10 | 3 x Top 20 | 3 x Top 40 | 11 x Top 100 Social Media Dolly Parton

Yet he gets the most satisfaction from taking those creations out on the road, as he told Apple Music in 2025: “Being on tour, there’s no other activity in my life that gives me such a sense of purpose.” Of course, Parker has always contained multitudes. Let’s not forget that he transformed psychedelic rock—and 21st-century pop—in such an impactful way that even Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Kanye couldn’t resist his influence. Parker started Tame Impala in 2007 from his Perth home, experimenting with an arsenal of reverb, phaser, delay and fuzz pedals on his 2010 debut album InnerSpeaker. For 2012’s Lonerism, he loaded up on synths, found inspiration in Todd Rundgren and locked into woozy pop grooves made of both dreams and nightmares. As Parker has looked further inward, his music—and musical circle—has continued to expand outward. By the mid-2020s, he had collaborated with Dua Lipa, Mark Ronson and Lady Gaga. Parker has remained a unique outlet, embracing widescreen funk (2015’s Currents), mid-thirties introspection (2020’s The Slow Rush) and elegiac techno (2025’s “End of Summer”). He’s also proven his pop instincts over and over again, as when he spiked his fatherhood-inspired 2025 album Deadbeat with a breakout earworm in “Dracula”. The song’s later success as a viral remix (featuring BLACKPINK’s JENNIE) and dance trend only confirm that Parker’s work enjoys a long lifespan once he’s done with it—both onstage and off. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2019 79 Patience -1- 2020 59 Breathe Deeper -4- 2020 78 Borderline -2- 2020 89 Lost In Yesterday -3- 2022 56 New Gold (Gorillaz feat. Like many aspiring singers, the London native put in work interpreting songs on social media, and unlike most, her work quickly paid off in a sudden burst of success with original material, including the minor 2024 U.K. hit "Maybe" and the debut EP Sink Now, Swim Later. Visitor, her first album, followed in 2026 with the sweeping Top Ten single "Die on This Hill" among its handful of charting previews. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2024 45 MAYBE. -1- 2025 09 Die On This Hill -2- 2025 26 You Stole The Show -1- 2026 11 The Visitor -3- 2026 13 Material Lover -OST- 2026 02 Great Expectation -4- 2026 36 Pure -AT- 0 x #1 | 1 x Top 5 | 2 x Top 10 | 4 x Top 20 | 6 x Top 40 | 7 x Top 100 Social Media SIENNA SPIRO
