    Clavish!!!! Rap Game Awful
  2. Yep it's been teased on TikTok for quite a while now by Margs. People were getting restless in the comments haha. I was wondering why it was taking long for him to release, but often upcoming drill artists just don't have the capital to get things moving quickly, so have to build hype on social media and then attract a label budget. This happened as it was picked up by EMI/Universal. The song is great, it reminds me of peak UK drill 2016-2019. A nice assist from Digga D on the song too.
  3. Interested to see Nines' opening day numbers given this is a fully independent release through his Zino Records and not through Warner Records or XL like before.
  4. 'Don't Go' such a classic. Wretch 32 featured on D Block Europe's 'Don't Go' on their Home Alone 2 project in 2021, which was a sort of nod/homage to different generations of UK urban music that I loved to see.

Probably! I fell into believing him saying that CC2 would be it, especially after listening to the Outro, but I'm not complaining that CC3 is coming haha. It's also worth mentioning Fredo said that the joint project with Nines that has been talked about for a while is dropping this year (likely not now but we'll see). Anyway most interesting of the features on the tracklist of CC3 is Return of The Mack's very own Mark Morrison! Nines and Mark Morrison having a song together was NOT on my musical bingo card for 2023
  6. Impressive stuff from them both. 'Park Chinois' stands out, with the production from Carns Hill on that track is exquisite. And yes, K Trap has definitely positioned himself to be one of the best drill rappers in the UK. He has been on an amazing run since he revealed himself and took off his mask in 2019, as other drill artists who have done so usually flounder after.

No Scrubs... brilliant... a staple of my childhood discos
  8. Purely collectors items from my favourite artists for me! Haven't played a cassette or CD in anger properly since I was a very young kid back in the late 2000s probably.
  9. Dance The Night is all over my TikTok, hopefully it pulls through. It's just a better song to listen to vs What Was I Made For?
  10. Would love them to do a top 50 list for the same time period, but just UK artists.
  11. Oh the scenes if a Sprinter remix dropped.

Only had a unfocused first listen but I really like it - Intro, Indecisive, Play Your Part, London, The Lights (and February) all my favourites so far! It still feels surreal hearing a whole new project from these lot :music:
  13. I just think that this umbrella genre of music is generally sneered at and is quite often seen as not for the radio due. Dancehall and Afrobeats are two important sounds and genres and it would be great to see them more in the charts.

Features on the tracklist is looking light and low key. Unless there are some surprise unlisted features (ala 'In The Fire' by Dave on We're All Alone In This Together) I'm expecting a more storytelling/pain rap vibe on this album, similar to Money Can't Buy Happiness. The track titled 'Woo' heavily suggests this. 'Independence Day' grew on me more but felt like more a throwaway project to announce his independence from Since 93/Sony. Anyway, if it's 80% of what Money Can't Buy Happiness was, then I'll be happy :D
  15. I think the drop of this could have been timed better and I'm not sure how it fits in exactly with Stormzy's latest single releases (Longevity Flow & Toxic Traits ft Fredo) ... really puzzling. Anyway, despite it's disappointing debut, the song is excellent. Raye shined as usual on this one and Stormzy brought it too. :music:
  16. Not surprised at those ArrDee & Bugzy Malone numbers. Also the music video feels to me like bought views as I saw it had about 150k views then about 10 hours later it was on 1.3 million… also an extremely high amount of bot comments. It’s becoming a real feature of a lot of people in the genre sadly. It’s not 2018/19 anymore.
  17. 21 Questions and Diamond Rings from my favourite artist truly... the 2000's, good times :D
  18. It's a shame Stormzy & Raye aren't seeming to have much of a breakthrough. In other news, 'Barbie World' is all over my TikTok timeline

Presume there will also be a Central Cee collab on this album. Drake has been co-signing him heavily recently
  20. This should be a top 5 single
  21. I’m utterly devastated J Hus’ ‘Nice Body’ ft Jorja Smith isn’t going to chart. One of my favourite songs this year.
  22. Really hope that at least one of J Hus ft Jorja Smith or CB can chart this week off his album.
  23. This is the best UK rap/afroswing album so far this year. Surpassing Potter Payper's Real Back In Style which held the top spot in my view. J Hus swings between dark and party vibe sounds across the album, the collabs with Jorja Smith and CB underline this. I expect first week sales of 25k to 35k, especially given the Trapstar collab.

    Little Simz... thoroughly deserved :yahoo:
  25. Pakistan with a great start, hope it holds up
