  1. Looking forward to the CB and Jorja Smith collabs on this
  2. DBE and Clavish heading for another top 10 hopefully :w00t:

Lap 5 going Gold in 9 months, love to see it
  4. Doesn’t the fact AJ Tracey, Headie One, Rita Ora and Raye have got this award NOT make them nobodies?
  5. That top 3 is beautiful. Sadly however Stormzy has “fell off”. Dave and Central Cee have both surpassed him as being the biggest UK rappers in my view. And looking at these numbers it may been even worse than what I thought.
  6. Stormzy back in his bag. Much better than his recent output on ‘This Is What I Mean’. Fredo as always comes good on these rap beats too. Santan (Dave) production abilities continue to impress me. It beggars belief that a sizeable number of people moaned when he had a number 1 in ‘Starlight’ last year and this year with ‘Sprinter’. He is so talented. I think where it charts will be very interesting. We’ve seen Dave and Central Cee get a comfortable #1 with a 100k+ first week, J Hus with arguably the biggest global rapper in Drake come close but have to settle for #2. I’m not sure who else outside of the genre is releasing but this will be indicator to the UK rap chart hierarchy I feel. I think Dave and Central Cee have surpassed Stormzy as the top 2 chartable UK rappers now, but let’s see.
  7. Stormzy and Fredo collab finally comes to fruition from being talked about as early as 2018 I recall!

Not my type of music but this is one of my favourite songs right now. She seems like a really nice person too and I’m happy for her Ireland and UK chart success!

So excited for August. I have to say I much prefer February to Habibti so far, but it’ll probably grow on me.
  10. Pass Out, a song that definitely brings back some great memories of my childhood and that time!
  11. I think its healthy and needed for the biggest acts of every genre to be able to be in amongst the top of the charts. Don’t see why rap/urban music can’t be involved in that too. Dave is an incredibly talented artist by all accounts and has been doing great numbers for at least 3 years now. I’m delighted for him that he’ll have his third number 1 single. As for rap dominating, no I don’t think that will be the case at all as others have pointed out, overall its having a declining presence in the charts compared to recent years.
  12. Looking at those numbers probably expect J Hus ft Drake with Who Told You to open in the top 4/5 on Spotify

Make Afroswing Great Again on their hats! Nice track and unexpected but great collab. Meekz came good on this and NSG rarely miss!
  14. Wow yesssssss, much better than It’s Crazy. Hopefully this breaks into the Top 10!
  15. Trojan Horse is probably my favourite. Every rapper that collabs with Dave raises their level because they know it’s one of the biggest of stages. (Fredo and Stormzy come to mind) Central Cee definitely came good on all of the tracks. Dave still a class above lyrically and flow wise, and this was quite obvious as they went back to back on 4 tracks, but Central Cee was more than respectable.
  16. Full circle kinda moment for Dave with the ‘Our 25th Birthday’ track with Central Cee on the EP. Following on from his ‘My 19th Birthday’ in 2017 and ‘My 24th Birthday’ in 2022. Love to see it

One of my favourite songs ever!
  18. They are the 2 biggest urban UK rappers at the moment with albums due to be released this year. Regardless of how much we like or dislike Central Cee’s ability as a musician, he is undoubtedly a big name artist in his own right now. I think its long overdue that the UK urban rap scene had far more big name collabs which have not been possible due to every rapper picking a side due to situations away from music. Dave also gifted Fredo a number 1 with Funky Friday back in 2018, but I guess you could argue Dave hadn’t really taken off then as it was his first number 1 too.
  19. Nice. They both could have come a bit harder lyrics and flow wise, but it has replay value. The sample and production is exquisite.
  20. Don’t Say Militancy is such a J Hus album title

    Clavish’s first certification :yahoo:
  22. A shame he is currently in jail… that will impact the release week and its just a bad look regardless. His core fans however will hopefully still support anyway. I’m really looking forward to this anyway. Off the back of Nines CC2 release and a Fredo album to drop later this year, that lane of UK road rap is in good hands.

Literally on the first listen I was like mehhhhh. But this has grown on me massively. I really like it.

Nines’ album has got mixed reviews from what I’ve seen on Twitter and TikTok. On a first listen I’ve had, I would agree with those saying it’s not his best project and hasn’t moved me as much as Crabs In A Bucket did. I wonder whether this will slightly harm his streaming numbers as the replay value throughout the week will fall from his core fans/audience.

The video and flow on this one reminds me of his Straight Rymez days, little bit of a miss for me even so.
