Nines' One Foot Out certified Gold today via BPI website. His second album to reach Gold after Crop Circle achieved the feat too. So ecstatic about this as it was my favourite album of his and mega looking forward to his final album ever which he will be releasing next year.
  2. Just listened to the record for the first time. Every single X Factor Christmas number 1 that I can remember off the top of my head was better than that. I hope Mariah or Wham pull through...
  3. Out Of Nowhere is and has been doing incredibly good numbers. So happy for Bugzy and TeeDee. I would be happy with any of Raye, Bugzy/TeeDee or Central Cee getting number 1 post Christmas, but sonically, Out Of Nowhere is my favourite out of those three particular records.

This is another miss sadly from Cench. As soon as I heard the teaser on TikTok I knew I wasn't feeling it. The first day numbers in the UK and worldwide are very impressive though. I really think he is very close to taking the crown as the UK's biggest urban artist/rapper, of which I think comes with an enormous responsibility. The scrutiny sonically and all will increase ahead of his debut album next year, I wonder how he will deal with it.

Dappy confirms via his Instagram story that a new album is indeed en-route for next year. Uncle B, Against All Odds (my favourite), Love.Live.Life and Greatest Hits were all released in November. Will album number 5 follow the same pattern? Let's see.
  6. He is a disgusting human being. As a black person, I disavow his comments on Jews in the strongest terms. I also was disgusted at his comments about his own black people on numerous occasions. I never rated that him highly as an artist, I've always preferred UK rap/hip hop anyway.
  7. Clavish is going places. His flow and delivery is very unique to the UK scene. His debut tape aptly titled "Rap Game Awful" comes out 13th January. I think it will have an impact. I'd be targeting he can get a top 10 and 7-8k sales first week then. In regards to this tune... it's ok not my favourite though. The DBE feature makes sense.
  8. I'm disappointed with the route he's taken on this third album, considering how his second went down critically as well. I have had one listen through on Spotify and although not terrible, it just has no replay value at all to me. To me he seems lost as an artist and on a downward trajectory compared to Dave and Central Cee.
  9. This sold and charted way better than I thought it would. #18 and 15k first week? Congrats to both Bugzy and TeeDee! I like it and the song has a decent amount of replay value.

A very good release from Fredo. I noticed he posted on his Instagram story it charting at number 33 with the caption "6 minute freestyle charting". He's stated before he made, in his mind a few questionable commercial chart tunes that compromised who he really was an artist before. That's why I'm glad he knows and everyone does that he can still chart with authentic real rap. Long may it continue.
  11. Another average project. Not much replay value in my opinion. Overall I'd much rather listen to UK urban rap/hip hop and drill talent nowadays. They have far better lyricism, imagination and originality. As well as that, they aren't obscene culture vulture's like Drake is too.

They aren't being managed correctly but it's obvious that Dappy is not really into it. They've sold tens of thousands of tickets so the money they'll make will be great and that was the motivating factor. I think they should drop a single soon, ideally they should collab with a top current UK urban artist but its like they don't even care or aren't thinking chart or song moves. Frustrating.
  13. It's only a matter of time before he has a song with a major American artist. There was talk that Drake had done a verse for a Doja remix.

Great to see Edna by Headie One go Gold.

Not feeling this at all. Probably has about 3 spins of replay value. Interested to see if it clears 60k first week. Probably will, but overall the sales and performance of his upcoming third album will be interesting to see given how absent he's been since 2019.

I think they'll drop another single around the time their tour starts in November and it may feature someone.

I like the production on this.

Remix with Tion Wayne and French Montana has now dropped also.
  19. Russ Millions' Reggae and Calypso still doing circa 120-150k daily streams 3 months after release on his independent label. Love to see it. BABA his next single, which will be another hit judging by the traction it had on TikTok, comes out on Thursday.

Production on the song is crazy good. Dappy holding it down/carrying once again like he often did on many N Dubz singles! The only thing is, where is the video?

Any Minute Now 2 will be released later this year, the sequel to the Yxng Bane and D Block Europe's first tape that reached 14 in the charts. Some DBE fans still regard it as their best project.

Agreed. It's not sounding horrible but nothing special hearing that preview in my view from Aitch.
  23. Smart move by Tion/Atlantic and clearly this wouldn't have been cheap with the sample + video shoot in Mexico. The song continues to grow on me and eventually I think I'll quite like it. I'm glad La Roux/Elly gave it the thumbs up and blessing because despite it being 2022 there still is a snobbery attitude to drill/urban music.

They along with quite a few before them, walked and took stones so that UK urban music could run, be taken seriously and have the success it has today. Good to see them back and I'm interested to see what type of sound they go for with Charmer and any other new singles they drop! Dappy and Tulisa are hinting that the fans "don't even know what surprises we have in store for them" could they already have an album which would be released just before Tour in November???

Loving those Digga D/ArrDee and Central Cee certifications.
