  1. Painfully close tie between Yoü and I and The Edge of Glory.
  2. It's definitely decent. I don't love it like some of you, but I must say, it makes a great driving song.

http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/my-name-i...-ep/id437990833 ^US iTunes link, for others, use the google machine. Thoughts? He seems pretty promising, I recognize him from a Major Lazer song. He's bringing back the island-pop style that Sean Kingston revived for like a month in 2007. Not bad IMO.
  4. Best top 10 in a long time. Love to see Super Bass doing so well, love that song. PYA and TEOG as well. Jeez. What a great top 10.
  5. It's close to midnight for the American iTunes... anyone else not having a Complete My Album option?
  6. Whenever would've been a FAR better choice for a single. This song drags on painfully.
  7. That Banana Boat Song sample is ingenious actually. What's with the sampling of that song lately? (this & 6 Foot 7 Foot) Of course, I'm not complaining. Dayyyyy-oh, me say daaaaayyyy-oh. ^_^
  8. There's been a lot of rumors going around about his "rock project/side project/renaming" thing, 2 Be Continuum with Dot da Genius. If those are true, that could explain the lack of focus on promoting this album. Although, honestly, he almost seemed to have this sort of thing in mind from the get-go this time around. The album sounds far more cohesive than MOTMI, which is quite a feat. He truly wanted this to be listened through from beginning to end. However, he's also releasing videos for Marijuana and Mr. Rager, as well as a short film for MANIAC ( :hic: ), so don't forget about MOTMII just yet.

Lol, was the censoring really necessary? :P 3 GaGa songs in the top 10, jeez. And people say she's flopping...
  10. This. Her vocals just don't fit the track IMO. I'm a big fan of sampling, but I love to hear a new vocal track or slight instrumentation changes that ENHANCE the original song, not just simply tacking vocals onto an original instrumental. (Although, that does work out sometimes - see Happiness by Alexa Jordan. Love Brazil, love that song)
  11. I have yet to hear Nayer add anything substantial to a song she's featured on.
  12. I prefer the original version of Dirty Dancer. Loved that beat.
  13. That's honestly what I've thought the whole time. It was a very vague tweet, I won't believe it til she releases it. Besides, why would they release this version as the official single without Ke$ha instead?
  14. Ahhhhhh, called that.

So it is. Weird, must've glitched when i saw it.

They'll probably release it as a proper 3rd single if it continues to sell this much. It's #1 in the US too. EDIT: #2. RITD is back at the top.
  17. Edge Of Glory at #2.
  18. Digital Love - Daft Punk + Dancing On My Own - Robyn + Last Friday Night (TGIF)'s sax line = This. Pretty damn good.
  19. Just curious, why do you say that? Honestly asking. It might be my own personal bias because I love Pon De Floor, so I just want to see why other people like that song.

I stand corrected. Very limited time
  21. The reason Run The World (Girls) is flopping is that it's an awful song. I'm sorry, it really is. I gave it time to grow and I just can't enjoy listening to it. Judas, on the other hand; not only is it not flopping HORRIBLY (continuing Gaga's top 10 streak), it's actually a good song. It's increasing again due to music video hype, anyway. I feel like we haven't seen the last of Judas, chart-wise. As well, the albums will both be fine. They still have the reputation to manage a high debut.

Going back to the original comment at the top of the page, though, I hope they haven't. She still hasn't really performed it anywhere besides Ellen, there's still time to climb.

Those are official pre-album singles. A promo single is a digital-only, entirely non-promoted (except for being released early) single that may eventually become a true single. For example: I Gotta Feeling = Official single Imma Be = Promo single (later became official) Teenage Dream = Official single Not Like The Movies = Promo single In most cases, the promo singles are part of an iTunes countdown or something similar. They do chart fairly high sometimes, depending on the artist (Taylor Swift had all of her promo singles for Speak Now chart within the top 20, and all but one in the top 10 of the BBH).
  24. #56 in America, who knew?
  25. Yup yup. It's up to #18 actually. Please go top 10...
