Example - 'Playing In The Shadows'
I'd definitely say it's worth it. I personally love the album, despite not being an Example fan aside from Kickstarts before. I gave it a listen on whim, and it's actually great.

Afrojack ft. Eva Simons 'Take Over Control'
This has JUST gotten popular in America. <_<
-
'RevolveR' T-Pain
This will end up as the new Detox in terms of being delayed. It was scheduled for late 09 and has had 5 promotional singles, but no definitive release date. It's supposed to be out by the end of the year, fingers crossed, but I'd take that with a grain of salt...

'Marry the Night' • 5th Single Thread
A little early for this, perhaps? Yoü and I is just taking off over here in the states, it's barely even impacted the UK yet. Give it about a month. FTR, I'm all for MTN or Americano as single #5.

Example - 'Playing In The Shadows'
Just downloaded this, loving it on first listen. Under the Influence is STUNNING.

Kanye West 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy'
Its Woods with an added flair of KANYE.

US Billboard Hot 100 - 09/10/2011
With the lead it has, I don't expect it to be going anywhere below #1 for a while yet.

Britney Spears-Criminal
If this reaches the UK top 75 I'll be shocked, let alone top 40.

US iTunes Top 100 [JUL-DEC 2011]
Not necessarily, there are plenty of album selling artists that don't sell concerts, and plenty of singles artists that sell out arenas. I know it's a bad example, but Katy Perry, widely regarded as a singles artist, is currently selling out a nationwide tour. You make a valid point, but the thing is singles artists can have huge fanbases even with terrible album sales.

US iTunes Top 100 [JUL-DEC 2011]
Yeah, Club Can't Handle Me peaked at #9, Who Dat Girl peaked at #29, and Turn Around (5, 4, 3, 2, 1) peaked at a smashing #98. For whatever reason, maybe it was because the album was only 9 SONGS LONG, Only 1 Flo Pt. 1 managed #107 on the top 200, which is a whole 99 places lower than R.O.O.T.S. I personally think that the main contributor was the strange and frankly stupid decision to split the album in 2, combined with a strange iTunes promotion tactic (release CCHM and 3 promo singles that WEREN'T ON THE ALBUM) that sunk that era for him. Unfortunately, it looks like this new era is going to be even worse. I remember when Right Round hadn't even come out yet it was unavoidable on radio. This time around, I had no idea he even had a new single until I saw it in the upper 40s on iTunes. It's a real shame he's flopping this badly. I quite liked Turn Around (5, 4, 3, 2, 1)

The reaction of America to Flo Rida nowadays. -_-

US iTunes Top 100 [JUL-DEC 2011]
Oh trust me, they won't. It's been overplayed TO DEATH. Yeah, but to be fair, I Am Not A Human Being started as an EP of leftovers that ended up growing into an album. It was essentially a B-side collection to Tha Carter IV, so a number 1 peak is pretty good, all things considered. As for Rebirth... it deserved its fate. -_-

US iTunes Top 100 [JUL-DEC 2011]
IIRC Taylor Swift had about 4 or more top 10. But in terms of hip-hop albums, I think you're right. I can't remember any others with such massive debut weeks. Although, this IS Tha Carter IV, so it's to be expected. Not only that, How to Love is now at #17 AND #38! :o

US iTunes Top 100 [JUL-DEC 2011]
It kinda annoys me that Mirrors is so high. It's one of the most generic songs on the album, I just knew this would happen too because of the name. Blunt Blowin' to replace it.
-
"Someone Like You" • Second Single
I hear it on the radio over here all the time, and it seems to be increasing. They're picking it up after the hype of RITD.
-
"Love on Top" • Fourth Single
Since this is most likely going to outpeak both of the other singles, they'd be crazy not to release it.

US iTunes Top 100 [JUL-DEC 2011]
FINALLY number one. Best top 10 in a LONG time.

US iTunes Top 100 [JUL-DEC 2011]
SLY held off of number one by... Foster the People? This is like a strange bizarro would where the entire top 10 is songs I've known and loved before they became popular over here. (except MLJ and How to Love, sorta. I knew both before they boosted into the top 10) FTP for a week at number 1 officially before Adele starts her inevitable 4 month or so reign.

Maybe I'm biased 'cause it was Love On Top. GaGa was amazing, too. That performance was stellar.

Good point. Overall performance went to him, vocal performance to Adele hands-down. Beyonce came close, though.
