  1. #45 - Lita Roza - (How Much Is) That Doggie in the Window Debut: 19 March 1953 / 13 March 1953 Peak: 01 WoC: 11 Chart Run: 9-3-3-4-2-1-3-4-5-7-9 Hg74viA_x0E The first of two versions of this classic song to chart in 1953 - this one being a cover of the other by Patti Page, This version by Lita Roza was the more successful of the two hitting No 1 for a single week (17 April 1953), making her the first British solo artist to top the chart. Apparently Roza hated the song, so much so that she never performed it live. She would appear in three separate UK heats of the Eurovision song contest in the late 1957, 1959 and 1960.
  2. I can usually at least listen to most music, but every time a DBE song comes on I find myself turning the volume off, especially if it's been radio-butchered
  3. It's not like they'd need to though. Pretty sure people would understand live on tape performances from foreign artists.

I'd imagine a couple of those UK dates are going to get moved. Pretty sure she could sell out the arena in Manchester if she wanted which is around 6x as big as the Apollo.

Sorry but Obsessed With You definitely deserves to be on the list. Utterly atrocious stuff. I wouldn't have thought anyone could have made a more annoying song out of the original til I heard it.
  6. Happy birthday?

What's the point of doing this if they're going to use already big artists. Also without checking I swear baby queen was on sound of 2021!
  8. Has anything made the singles chart?
  9. The only way it's going to happen is if a couple of these young lads/lasses that are constantly being promoted but don't break through realise banding together as a group or pushed together by a label (your HRVY's of the world). I imagine that'll be where the next pop group comes from.
  10. Yup, hopefully the end of the incessant moaning from middle aged, now pushing elderly ex-players about snooker having no future stars. A 23 year old and 26 year old playing each other in a major final - if their careers last as until their 40 at least like the last big stars that's the game in good hands til 2034-2037.
  11. Zhao Xintong now one frame from victory at 9-5
  12. Brecel starting to try and mount a comeback? Zhao Xintong 8 - 5 Luca Brecel
  13. Zhao effortlessly takes the next two for 7-3, Luca in with a chance after a rare miss from Zhao in the 11th frame.
  14. First session finished up 5-3. Evening session about to get underway.
  15. The Season's Upon Us by Dropkick Murphy's has to be up there as one of the greatest.
  16. Yeah seems really odd there's been no update today. Something broke?
  17. While 800k is pretty good for a snooker semi-final in this day and age, it's hard not to think of it in the context of the figures it once got.
  18. I've been busy so not able to catch most of the tournament, just remembered final was on today and thought I might as well watch it. :) Was a great frame.

  22. Whilst true he did have a top 5 Xmas song too. As someone who was in primarily school when the original crazy Frog stuff came out I'm totally here for this but honestly thing they've left it a few years too late.
  23. First couple of days after the mandate was reintroduced it seemed likely people were wearing them. As soon as everybody realised everyone's given up on enforcing it, nobody's wearing the things. Most people were only wearing them out of fear to start with.
  24. New Christmas single out this Friday!!! Could it do well?
  25. It's also worth remembering it was a 5am release which probably cut down some streaming numbers.
