  1. I always thought it was the least streamed and most streamed that got excluded?
  2. Or to put it more bluntly, it would be eveybody in the UK listening to the album 3 times
  3. Available on their site. Interesting that this article talks about labels using Adele to get older listeners on streaming, if they manage that it could have quite an impact on what kind of songs we see in the charts going forward - for the better in my opinion.
  4. I doubt it'll even get physical pressings tbh.
  5. Thanks, glad someone got my point.
  6. I wasn't labelling him a flop - it was a comment to the OP article saying 'It has been almost four years since Budapest singer George Ezra last treated his fans to new music – but he will make a stomping return to the charts in the New Year." - there's no guarantees in music these days and there's certainly no guarantees that he'll make a stomping return to the charts. His last album came out in 2018 and his last single "Pretty Shining People" peaked at 25 in 2019 - he could very easily become one of the many new breed of artists who'll grab a No 1 album with no chart single.
  7.   I'd make a funny comment but.... Adelelocalypse I guess
  8. Was Ghost Town already on HH or has it just been added - it's #63
  9. Sam Fender finally overtaken ArDee. Thank god.
  10. I'm think the same 'total sales' could wind up lower than ABBA but daily streaming numbers are going to break records.
  11. I guess we're going to find out the upper limit (at least artists who are around now) for opening daily album streams on Spotify with this release if EoM was anything to go by.

I don't think Ed is past his imperial phase. His last single spent 11 weeks at No 1 and was knocked off by Adele. Elton John has a current top 10 hit - Elton John and Ed Sheeran is going to be massive and I think is pretty set for No 1.
  21. Christ knows what he's on about https://www.officialcharts.com/charts/singl...20210712/7501u/ Debuted at No 1 on the update.
  22. This isn't going to stand up so well if he properly flops.
  23. #48 - All I Want For Christmas - Mariah Carey (Spotify) Oh dear....
  24. #33 Ted Heath and His Music- Vanessa Debut: 22 January 1953 Peak: 11 WoC: 1 Chart Run: 11 2l03bQ2OJ4s Ted Heath was of course a giant of his era, although the name now is more likely to conjure up and image of the former Prime Minister who served his first parliament nearly two decades after this record charted than the bandleader. Heath began his career playing to commuters in London Bridge Station in 1910s and would go from that to playing American tours over the course his decades long career by the 1950s when he arranged a reciprocal arrangement with Stan Kenton who toured the UK. He also won the NME award for best bandleader every year from 1952 to 1961 - he also recorded scores of albums although only one of these would hit the pop charts. Vanessa is the first of his 9 UK Chart singles, 8 as 'Ted Heath and His Music" and the last "sucu sucu" as the Ted Heath Orchestra in 1961.
  25. Ah fair enough. One of those where the fans care but general public aren't too bothered then.
