Tbh, I don't even like him, but Jail is a tune and a half. It would be a really good commentary on cancel culture, if he'd chose some slightly less ridiculous examples than DaBaby and Marilyn Manson to convey it.

The second week of the Chartfriday's Personal Chart and we look to see if Where Are You Now by Lost Frequencies can retain the No 1 spot or whether it will be challenged by one of the 12 new entries on this weeks chart, 5 of which debut straight in the top ten having a very good week. Round Up New #1 Miles Kane claims his first No 1 on the Chartfridays Personal Chart with his brilliant new track, Don't Let It Get You Down. Although the reality being that had this chart existed at the release of some of his previous work he'd likely have claimed a few more. This is the opening single from the January slated Change The Snow fourth solo album from him. A pulsing indie throwback track reminiscent of his first two albums and his work on the fabulous two The Last Shadow Puppet's albums that he's released with Alex Turner of the Arctic Monkeys. It's a particularly good week for metal and rock with Ice Nine Kills and Jinjer both turning up in the Top 5 and Feeder and Sabaton in the Top 10. Yungblud Nirvanesque Fleabag also climes in the top 5 to #4 for a new peak. Outside of the number 1 Ukranian based metalcore band Jinjer claim this weeks highest new entry with their poignant song about the difficulties of being an introvert in an extroverted world coming out of the pandemic. In rather contrasting fashion Ice Nine Kills follow up just behind with Assault and Batteries a humorous horror metal song based on the 1988 Child's Play films ahead of their upcoming album The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood, a sequel to 2018's The Silver Scream, giving the albums play on horror films tropes, we can surely expect them to get up to at least Silver Scream 10. Elsewhere in the Top 10 - dance number Runaway flies up from 30 to #9 and Feeder and Sabaton claim new entries, the Sabaton track is relatively Sabaton by numbers but it's them so it sounds good, released as a tie in for the World of Tanks games. Further down there was some issues as despite their being 12 new entries, chart compilers realised that Feast of Fire was including twice on last weeks chart, and as such only 11 songs make way. Given Visiting Hours is in the Top 50 on Spotify and the Bad Habits remix isn't it my that he's actually costing himself by releasing VH in terms of keeping Bad Habits at the top for even longer. Stay is really streaming well now as well so could knock it off before it gets to ACR anyway. It looks like 12-13 weeks might be the absolute maximum anyone can hope for in the ACR era at Number 1. Shame, as just out of sheer geekery I'd love to see that Bryan Adams run beat by something. Although he looks in with a shout of replacing himself at No 1 after 11 weeks at No 1 which would be insane.

It's a wedge issue that goes far beyond transgender rights. LGBTQ+ is about including everybody in society who is of a non-traditional gender or a non-traditional sexuality. Going after trans people and framing the debate as between gay rights (LGB) and trans rights (T) doesn't just exclude trans people, it also takes Q+ out of the debate without actually saying anything about it. What's the situation with Bad Habits, does it get a fresh 9 weeks from the date of the remix (12 August 2021) or will it go back on ACR if it declines in streams anyway?

Before Olivia Rodrigo and driver's license happened weren't the top Spotify tracks doing around 450-500k anyway - so STAY and Bad Habits are about on par with it.

Began uploading covers on youtube in 2016, then transitioned from that into sadboy music 'This is What Anxiety Feels like' and 'I don't want to watch the world end with someone else' will give you a flavour - his last few singles have been noteably more upbeat and pop friendly including low Top 100 'Chicken Tendies'.

Daily combined streams for both versions of Bad Habits are just shy 64k ahead of Stay on Spotify, if that's replicated on a similar scale on other streaming platforms and all week Ed looks nailed on for a 9th week at No 1.
