Makes me think that enough have been ordered to take it to the top 10. It's only the 14th.

I'll be straight forward here, I don't give a flying f*** on what your gender or sexuality or politics are, I just enjoy your energy and slightly jealous that I don't have such a great sign off name :)

Padam Padam ● 1st single
Sorry, should of been a bit clearer, we don't have a first look in Australia but our cut off is roughly midnight Wednesday for you guys. The info I was given is that thursday and friday sales were bad but apparently it has bounced back to the 70-80 mark and increasing over the weekend (It's Sunday here) (Cass effect?). It doesn't take much to get a bounce on the ARIA charts and BMG's (the cash cow of Darenote) decision to reign it in as far as Oz goes is surprising and intriguing to say the least

No point in "This should've..." "That could've..." They didn't do it and it is what it is. We know what is available and we need to do the very best with that and I am really confident that she will hit 9 or 10 this week. I will continue to do what I can via VPN. If after your daily cycle of streaming and you feel inclined Australian VPN's are available. We need some help over here, I refuse to accept a peak of 39 for this song :)

It's a bit hard to factor in the signed copy promo released with 18 hours left before the cut off though, wouldnt it? I know I purchased a copy on a different account after that was announced (Counts towards aussie chart though).

I thought that last minute "Buy PP for a chance to win 1 of 10 signed copies" was pretty clever to be honet.

Top 114 UK No 1 songwriters
This is probably the best thread ever to appear here, absolutely brilliant. Thank you for your labour of love. Fun Fact: I know him so well was written with Anni-Frid and Agnetha in mind, It was amongst the songs Rubberball man/Just a notion/Just like that. At the time Benny and Bjorn felt they just couldn't get the songs to sound the way they wanted and General fatigue amongst the 4 members led to the scrapping of the project, which actually had a name. Of course they dusted it off and revamped it for Chess, just as they did with Just a notion for Voyage. They have stated Rubberball man and Just like that will never see the light of day which is rather sad actually, as they were both very interesting songs and very opposite to each other

iTunes Weekly Thread w/c 11th February 2022
It was a huge hit in Australia also (Well the show is Australian after all). The Show was also prime time here. For a long time no one could actually find Lynne Hamilton after the song and Album's intial release in 1979, she was finally tracked down in 1986 in Western Australia. It was then she received a substantial backlog of Royalties that she had no idea was owing to her.

The top 40 singles without Christmas songs
In Australia it won the triple j top 100, it is the top 100 voted by the public and announced over the Australia day weekend in Jan 2021 (exluding Australia day, but thats another story). The top 100 skews a little towards indie, so it was rather ironic that after this it went straight to number 1 on the pop charts for 8 weeks or so, it is 7 times platinum and after 55 weeks is still at number 5. I think as it is not pop, not indie etc etc, but a little bit of all, it appeals to a very broad base of music fans....on BB hot 100, it is number 8 after 48 weeks with an increase of sales (Number 3 without xmas songs) and could actually be number 1 next week. So the appeal seems to be world wide. Just my take on it
