  1. ^ not very solid examples. Yes if any of those songs even entered the charts in the top 5 but they didn't so blaming another release is not the reason. Fact is they're 10 years and 32 singles into their careers. They have never ever been a group that is guaranteed high entries or even high peaks and releasing against the likes of Ed or Adele is not going to change that.
  2. They've all done small bits and pieces for ages. I don't know why Leigh doing a documentary, Maybelline deal and a movie or Jade writing for other artists, make up line, Ellesse doesn't mean they're over but Perrie doing something alone does. They're too big a brand together to split up when they can do both.
  3. They talk so much rubbish. The tour wasn't even locked in 2019. If Perrie had actually wanted out then they could have just split when Jesy left.
  4. I don't think whatever they released would have been a hit tbh. HBA was still getting massive airplay and Kiss My was top 10. They just didn't need to release.
  5. Makes me wonder how big this and HBA could have been with promo. HBA has been floating in the same region of the charts forever.
  6. It's sold well and good for her but ad many have said it means very little. The media attention and curiosity alone is enough to secure a strong debut for thr first solo release from a big band. It's where singles 2 and 3 and the album go that will be the decider. Zayns debut was huge and then...well...
  7. The albums release makes sense. It celebrates 10 years, it allows the girls time off as there's less new material, the sheer size of it sells it with minimal promo, it buys extra time before they have to start new material and it puts a line under Jesys time in the group.
  8. Graham doesn't do those kind of interviews. It doesn't work when there's 3 other guests sat there.
  9. I just think Jesy is quite naive. She obviously is cautious of what she absorbs online and her team and now gone with toxic positivity only allowing her to see good things. She will never be able to grow if she isn't given room to. I think her team are doing her dirty. The comments about her dad today just make the entire campaign feel like a big x factor intro sob story. Jesy is legit funny and I think the excessive tanning is more about her covering insecurities (like wearing head to toe blavk) than anything else, but the rest of it is appropriation. I would be surprised if those DMs are real from Leigh. I don't think she's naive enough to do it. I hope not anyway. But Jesys biggest down falls recently have been her absolute ignorance to Leigh's suffering about racism in the group and now laughing along to Nicki bullying her. For me, and I'm sure it's not the case, it feels like she's now taken the role of victim and that's her role.
  10. Tbh this has probably worked out better for them. If this was doing well then it would be constant mentions about how Jesy is doing better. This wad SO under the radar it isn't even mentioned. By the time the next single comes out in about 3 weeks this drama wi ll be fresh enough for them to comment without dragging it up and the upcoming single will be the one compared to Boyz.
  11. https://mobile.twitter.com/WavyKidJT_/statu...-minaj%2Fpage12 Sorry I don't know how to embed but here is a thread pretty much proving (as everyone suspected) that Leigh's DM was fake. Which has just made all of this nastiness out of absolutely nothing.
  12. I think a lot of people are missing that it's not about the tan. It's the lips, the braids, the fashion, the grills, the fetishising black men, the...everything about the video. Yes she can't help if she does go very tan but she can help all of the rest.
  13. Nicki is and always has been poison. Jesy has done herself no favors here just trying to make it seem like she's a victim.
  14. Surely nobody believes those tweets from Leigh are real? She doesn't write like that and it's also just not her vibe at all. Jesy laughing at what Nicki said and of course giving it 'its hard for me' . I feel bad for the bullying and her struggles but she seems to have become life's eternal victim. Just own your crap. Stop making yourself a victim because you've been called out on your actions.
  15. Sorry in this case Jesys history is not relevant In her documentary all three girls were crying recalling seeing what Jesy went through and Jesy didn't even remember that Leigh was suffering from what she went through with race. Jesy is...just not very switched on.
  16. Damn. Leigh: she cut us off. Blocked us. Horrible person.
  17. I honestly am a bit gutted by just how insincere she comes across. All of her interviews are word for word almost the same like its a script. She slags off everything about being in the band the just tags on how much she loves the girls and had so much fun. Then she releases this debut that's basically a cover in a fake voice. There's nothing authentic to be seen. The fact it's been confirmed her team were the ones blocking her comments about black fishing and that Leigh who has for a decade been called the sweetest member of LM is basically calling her out says it all.
  18. This was always gonna be a hit not only as the first solo release from the most successful girl band since Destiny's Child but also because of all the stuff around it. Its one of those all press is good press. The haters will check in on it to comment and will get hooked. But I think its downhill hereafter.
  19. I am curious to see what her original material will be like because thus samples so heavily it's basically a cover. I hope she uses her voice because when I hear SLS I remember she can belt the big notes and not just this strange cartoon voice she adopted on the last couple of albums.
  20. I think she's gonna get some backlash. It's just not very good. It relies way too much on the sample. She doesn't sound like her an she keeps saying she's being her true self but is styled like 10 ofjer black female singers ad super Americanised
  21. ^ sad aye. She will never not be torn down it's like how dare she finally be happy and confident.
  22. This album had a lot of single potential. Wasabi could have been huge. I think pushing MTW as a video promo was a mistake because the video is dreadful and the song isn't amazing. They also should have just said Strip was a single. It would have done fine. TAU entire campaign was a disaster.
  23. Reggaeton would be classed as the lead single from the repackage. I think there was intention for IYLE to be a full single but the girls were probably ready for a break after 2 huge eras.
  24. What do you mean? The new tracks are the main incentive. All the fans have every other track already and could just as easily make a Playlist of their hits
  25. It will be a top 3 and I expect it will stick around. But it could really do with SOME promo beyond Jade doing radio. Thankfully they're well supported so it should get some media attentjkn
