  1. This was always gonna be a hit not only as the first solo release from the most successful girl band since Destiny's Child but also because of all the stuff around it. Its one of those all press is good press. The haters will check in on it to comment and will get hooked. But I think its downhill hereafter.
  2. I am curious to see what her original material will be like because thus samples so heavily it's basically a cover. I hope she uses her voice because when I hear SLS I remember she can belt the big notes and not just this strange cartoon voice she adopted on the last couple of albums.
  3. I think she's gonna get some backlash. It's just not very good. It relies way too much on the sample. She doesn't sound like her an she keeps saying she's being her true self but is styled like 10 ofjer black female singers ad super Americanised
  4. ^ sad aye. She will never not be torn down it's like how dare she finally be happy and confident.
  5. This album had a lot of single potential. Wasabi could have been huge. I think pushing MTW as a video promo was a mistake because the video is dreadful and the song isn't amazing. They also should have just said Strip was a single. It would have done fine. TAU entire campaign was a disaster.
  6. Reggaeton would be classed as the lead single from the repackage. I think there was intention for IYLE to be a full single but the girls were probably ready for a break after 2 huge eras.
  7. What do you mean? The new tracks are the main incentive. All the fans have every other track already and could just as easily make a Playlist of their hits
  8. It will be a top 3 and I expect it will stick around. But it could really do with SOME promo beyond Jade doing radio. Thankfully they're well supported so it should get some media attentjkn
  9. Yeah I do think she will find it hard. As much as she felt compared to the girls she also had three other people to take the hits. As she said it is all her now so any criticism falls solely on her shoulders and considering how much she was a target for people and the media it won't be any easier. She and her sales will get compared to the girls forever.
  10. Comparing Jesys mental health journey with that of Perrie or Leish is redundant because everyone responds to things differently. Jesy was actively bullied by literally thousands of people for nine years. As someone who has panic attacks I understand why her breaking point was when it was because panic attacks are like fight or flight. Your mind and body being like 'you don't feel right or safe in this situation'. I've just left hospitality after 18 years because I was getting panic attacks frequently and that for me came from part of the job being that you have to keep a smile on your face and 'take one for the team' whatever is going on and I tell you it is exhausting. Her reasons are genuine and she is also entitled to change her opinion on the past after getting new perspectives during healing. When she says she was lying about how she felt in the last interview- the is a girl who can NEVER win. Ever. Whatever she does she does it wrong so if she said she wasn't happy she would have been bombarded with abuse about 'well shouldn't have left then'. Recovery is a long and tricky journey and sometimes you think you have recovered more than you have.
  11. I just don't get their new need to have singles released every 6 to 8 weeks. Sometimes less. If it came out this week it may have done better but Anne Marie is still actively promoting the last single.
  12. I completely forgot NTFT even exists.
  13. A nice sleeper hit for them. Bouncing around the top 20 for 2 months.

Harry Styles album spent 18 months in the top 20 and has still just gone over 500k. People don't do albums anymore. It's the same reason most songs are shorter than they used to be. Streams.
  15. Could this even be classed as acoustic? There js so much going on

^ I guess because it's spent 2 months floating in the middle of the chart. It'll get there soon enough then sink. LSL will rot at the bottom with OIBM and Word Up as their only uncertified singles.
  17. Jesy, like Zayn, will do well with her initial era because she's the first solo one and the release will generate a lot of press. But like Zayn I expect the novelty will wear off. I can imagine Perrie doing a few features here and there but honestly I think they will all be content doing other things. Jade will write and produce and develop new artists. Leigh already has fashion and acting. If they had ended after Glory Days then I think all of them could have had at least one successful album but now I think they will all just dip their toes into other things and pop in and out of the band. I imagine them being like Take That and it never fully flat out ending.
  18. I don't think the next single will suffer the same. It will be released around the same time as the album so there will be more attention put on it and being three months after the birth it is more likely we will see some promotion.
  19. Ah true. I always forget that Hair didn't go top 10.
  20. I don't think HA would be eligible. SM would as I think it just had to have been charting during the eligible period.
  21. I expect the next single will come on November 5 a week before the album and a final single in January or very late December.
  22. Greatest Hits sounds very final. I think this can definitely be classed not only as an anniversary celebration but with the majority of tracks featuring Jesy, putting a line under that era.
  23. Kiss My is still doing well. It peaked 2 weeks ago and had climbed back to 12. HA is still being played everywhere too. I think this may get a little more love in the coming weeks but no big deal if it doesn't. They've had 4 consecutive top 10s for the first time since 2016. They had a no.1 for the first time since 2016. Two of the releases became their longest running top 10s. They're at a good enough position to not worry. There are much bigger artists who will have singles miss the top 40 entirely.
  24. The album will do fine. The current single was out too early to actually promote the album. There is an 11 week gap between the two. It's like this was released just to give people more trio music and the next single will be to launch the album. As many have said GH do well and I expect that there will be plenty of TV appearances around it. Plus nostalgia. Girls Alouds first GH boosted their career majorly and became their biggest selling album despite there being no real demand for it at the time. It will hang around well enough as it'll have a single in November and probably another one in January (hopefully Feb) then the tour in April which will likely rebrand.
  25. I think the song will benefit from the release of Jesys debut as their band will be everywhere again. They've had such a strange release order this year. April, May, July, September It was too much. February, May, July, October would probably have served better. The sing may rebound a bit but it will be unlikely to go top 20.
