I have always got excited about new releases but miss the days when there were multiple releases and real challenges for the top10 and obviously no1. These days it’s a big thing if there’s 4 new entries on the chart, the freshness isn’t there and the streaming playlist dictate a very slow moving chart where the current genre on trend is this slurring rap! The only artist having any form of instant chart success have been mainly from that genre and not bonifide hits.. album tracks that plummet once the initial hype has died down. I know these are the times we live in and I can expect the old days scenarios as there isn’t the physical musical outlet but the Spotify playlist dominated chart is pretty dull one..all my own opinion naturally.

This week probably the biggest week for new releases in ages, hopefully a mass of new entries in next weeks charts. Florence is a great return to form imo 😊
