Passing up artists such as Adele and Gym Class Heroes, platinum recording artist Eric Dill climbs his way up the Mediabase Chart moving up to #70 with his solo single “War With The Wolves”. This is the first single off of the CD coming out November 20th, which is called “Forever is Not Enough”; his first full length solo CD following his solo EP “Wherever You Are” With only 5 of the Top 100 not being with a major label group – Eric being one of them—this is clearly an accomplishment of epic proportions. Some of the Top 100 artists includes: Rhianna, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Train, One Direction, Linkin Park, Jason Mraz, David Guetta, OneRepublic, Maroon 5, and others. You can listen to some of his songs on iTunes Do you wanna hear Eric Dill on Sirius XM? http://i555.photobucket.com/albums/jj441/purpledarts/Rocktoberfestphotowith2guitarplayers.jpg An evening of good food, great beer, even greater music at Gene Simmons & Wolfgang Puck’s Rocktoberfest at LA Live – I recommend attending next year if they do it again! What particularly got me to commit to attending is that I saw that Eric Dill who used to be the lead singer for the Click Five was performing. I’ve been a big fan since I first heard him in the early 2000’s. Eric did not disappoint! He totally rocked :yahoo: the house with his renditions of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing”, Radiohead’s “Creep” and (I think it’s by the Outfield) “Your Love”. He was backed by some of the all star band that Simmons put together for the event, Eric Dover/Guitar (Slash’s Snake Pit, Jellyfish), Brent Woods/Lead Guitar (played with Vince Neil), Michael Devin (Whitesnake and European sensation Steamroller), Matt Laug/Drummer (Alanis Morissette, Christina Aguilera, Richard Marx, etc.), Teddy Andreas/Keyboards (appeared with Carole King, Slash, Ziggy Marley, etc) and Big Jim Wheeler/Sax (has toured with: Kenny Loggins, Loggins and Messina, ABC, Slash’s Snake Pit). Eric just released his first solo (Halloween) single “War with the Wolves”. The full album I hear will be out in November with all originals (not covers). Watch the video on youtube It’s sure to become a cult classic! Nearing the end of this Summer’s tour having opened for the Doobie Bros., next on the horizon for Lara Johnston is the release of her new 12 song album later this year. In the meantime by popular demand from her fans that can’t stand the wait, she’s giving away a free MP3 of one of the new tracks “The Party’s Over” on her website: www (dot) Lara Johnston (dot) com. Lara is clearly on the rise with her powerful voice and fiery, captivating stage presence. Touring tirelessly, Lara Johnston has performed with Michael McDonald, Bonnie Raitt, Steve Miller, Neil Patrick Harris, E.G. Daily, Sam Harri, Tisha Campbell-Martin, Willie Nelson, KISS, Tower of Power, Heart, Sammy Hagar, Huey Lewis, Pablo Cruise, Journey and Cheap Trick. Not many 21 year olds can attract the attention of some of the most powerful names in music as Lara has. What makes her so captivating, aside from her beauty, is her powerful voice and great songwriting. Lara writes her own songs (sometimes collaborating with her favorite writers from Nashville to Los Angeles). Her music is an inspiring mix of Rock, Vocal Pop, R&B and Soul.
