BJSC LXXIII Semi Finals THE RESULTS
ahhhhh damn I was getting my hopes up there :(
-
Kanye West • Least Favourite Single #1
I will be steadfastly voting for FourFiveSeconds until that tuneless dross goes.
-
Least Fave Beyonce Single: Round 29
No no no, Crazy in Love absolutely CANNOT go. It needs to win! I really do mark that as the beginning of a new era of pop music, somehow. The other two don't even come close.
-
Delta Goodrem - Only Human
Released an hour early on UK iTunes, get thee to the store gooddelta!

Melodifestivalen 2015 / Andra chansen · Helsingborg (7 Mar)
TMI

Tame Impala >> "CURRENTS"
Ugh, the bit around the 5 minute mark is BLISSFUL. Love them.
-
Django Django | Album 2
'First Light' is FAB, so uplifting.
-
Active Child 'Mercy'
gorgeous as ever. glad he's back!

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
I enjoyed it a little but is no one else disappointed? The characters don't really feel coherent to me and none of them are that funny - Carol Kane and Jane Krakowski I KNOW are genuinely funny people but these characters just seemed a bit flat. Too many obvious jokes that didn't enhance the characters and relied on cliched ideas and stereotypes to be funny in themselves rather than actually writing jokes. It did liven up in the last few episodes as it felt more focused and had Tina and Jon Hamm with their absurd characters so maybe it can grow next season. I seem to be mostly alone, though, so IDK.

BJSC LXXIII Semi Finals
I sent you a Dropbox link! although I suppose at least people are now talking about my song~ re: the online link, for some reason it's the only track on the EP not on his Soundcloud (yes, I had to be difficult) so I had to find that YT link. v. annoying, apologies if it is blocked outside the UK!

BJSC LXXIII Semi Finals
ooh, quite a few songs I've considered before - Xylo (gorgeous, but didn't think it'd qualify, we shall see!), Lion Babe (I literally heard this about a year and a half ago, how is it still her calling card?!), Marian Hill (also brilliant, only just taken it off my main playlist)... plus Verre (can't say it struck me as entry material but I do like it) and one of Syndare's greatest failures, Rochelle Jordan. glad I did get Zak in the end. hope he justifies my totally last minute faith in him, going rnb male vocal twice in a row is a risk!

Least Fave Beyonce Single: Round 28
Correct, apart of the last part. Halo out.

Melodifestivalen 2015 / Andra chansen · Helsingborg (7 Mar)
I love 'Don't Stop Believing' and 'Heroes' pretty equally, but to see Måns triumph would be so much more satisfying. And not just because he's a babe.
-
Purity Ring 'another eternity'
listening to this now, 'begin again' and 'bodyache' are absolute magic.

BJSC LXXIII Confirmations
I did indeed confirm today (sent two emails as I immediately changed my mind :/)
-
United Kingdom · Eurovision Song Contest 2015
I don't even hate it but I really don't understand how a group of people heard this and went YES. THIS IS THE ONE. ABOVE ALL OTHERS. It just boggles the mind.

Loreen - Paper Light (Higher)
Absolutely gorgeous. I've missed her! I do love a bit of house piano.
-
Josef Salvat - Night Swim
I saw him live (again, he was also BANKS' support when I saw her last year) and MY GOD his VOICE!!! It really is just sublime and effortless. Loads of new songs, all with absolutely smashing production - the album is gonna be a big highlight of this year, definitely. (I also didn't realise he was Australian, not sure how that passed me by haha)

BJSC LXXIII Confirmations
two of my former entrants have just released really good new tracks but idk if I can dare recycle...

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 1st March 2015
King  such a glorious track, I hope it has huge sales. Alex Adair doing nicely too, fingers crossed for top ten (even if the reworked version is a downgrade)

Cancelled shows you wish were still on...
The Murder Game. 2003 BBC show that made up an intricate murder mystery in an actual town setting, contestants got killed off one by one. I LIVE for this kind of stuff (there was an American one Whodunnit? a couple of years ago, like a real life Cluedo, but it was a bit patchy) but it didn't do well in the ratings so it never came back :(
