I LOVE Andrea, he's absolutely adorable AND sings so effortlessly - when you compare to Jake squeezing out those pained vocals, it's a joke they're even competing against one another. otherwise Lauren was great - made me like a song I despise - and I really hope Stephanie gets through, her vocals were a little shaky but I think she's such a star, great image and lovely tone of voice.

I adore the original but it seems like an odd choice for this kind of single, it's really short and the lack of verses leaves it without any epic flavour. not too bad though, I like Lorde and Paloma particularly and it's good to see Florence around.

this isn't a patch on Swim for me, although I realise he's going for something quite different. will give it time to grow.

seen them all bar 'Gone Girl' - might be a while before I find the time! - and 'The Game', which I've been meaning to see for years. think my fave is Zodiac, it's a bit fat and overlong in the way of a pulpy thriller, but I love how submerged it gets with the darkness of that kind of investigation. he has a fairly distinctive approach but I find him very hot and cold - 'Benjamin Button' is just awful, but then two years later he does 'The Social Network' which is just such a dynamic portrait of that time.

why the need to slate other artists? her and jhene make a nice wave together as far as I'm concerned
