  6. new track produced by Dev Hynes. predictably gorge produx but again there's something too tame about her vocals somehow. missing the sensuality of her debut, feels like she's holding something back.
  7. what the hell is with the IINSYFA hate?! it's such a nice song and I always thought Riri added a nice edge to it. 'Cheers' will be my pet hate from this point on.
  8. Poker Face. shame Alejandro went out but Paparazzi is also essential so that to win pls
  9. it wasn't co-ordinated between the US and UK labels at all - from what I gather Polydor were rather taken aback by the sudden announcement of the US album release and had to pull Not on Drugs quite late and rethink everything. though why they couldn't stick with it and release the album at the same time, idk. so disappointed mausi weren't given much of a shot by radio, they deserve to be a big hit :(
  10. voted BBC Two because The Honourable Woman was so wonderful, but BBC in general - Happy Valley was fantastic too. C4 are good for the more esoteric, youthful, stylish stuff though.
  11. these cannot be allowed to happen
  12. don't worry yourself, I haven't done mine either!
  13. WHY get britney out :teresa:
  14. confirmed but not sure if this is final - the song has been called 'almost witchhousey' by one of y'all so I can't imagine it'll do very well despite how sexy it is
  15. Okay, the original deadline for this was tomorrow, but only had 4 in and the whole anonymous thing was a bit of a confusion so extending it to Friday 5 September. It will stay all anonymous, so basically if you've sent me a file by then, you'll get one in return! (Unless someone wants to take up Anthony's offer above which we can work with.)
  16. Emily in Breaking the Waves is one of the most astonishing performances put on film... daring, honest and provocative.
  17. I absolutely love it - one of my songs of the year. I love the desperate tone to the vocals (which sound gorgeous), offsets the wind it breakdowns (which are great in themselves butt I understand that coming from someone like her they're not what is 'expected')
  18. incorrect, they're both stunning.
  19. she has such presence. absolute star. she radiates with happiness at everything she does - the whole show was obviously planned down to the last detail but it didn't feel fake. and providing that standard of choreography and energy on such a small stage is really incredible. if she isn't big, the world needs to check itself. seriously think 2 On would be a UK hit if they pushed it. everyone in the venue had their phone out filming it - her movement and energy really does make her, but the voice alone is superb. basically she's just perfect. love 'pretend' now too, it's so cute and warm
  20. I'm going to stay out of this thread because even reading the first song feels wrong. gonna be a struggle but I want to go in as fresh as possible!
  21. fight between Bedtime Stories, Erotica and MDNA for last place, I'd imagine! let's guess: 12. MDNA 11. Bedtime Stories 10. Erotica should be MDNA as the other two have too much goodness on them!
  22. been really getting into this the past few days, really smooth stuff <3
  23. have a strange aversion to 'take a bow', never been sure quite why! devastating to see 'nothing fails' not even top 40 - one of her most powerful moments for sure! the way it builds from such a simple opening to the orchestral majesty of the end is bewitching. p.s. gorgeous presentation haus! lovely to read.
  24. TINY bit miffed at the regression (again?!) but still very pleased with the result! special thanks to thermo and Chris for their 12s
