truly talented

Sounds like further dates next year.

If only it were that simple. Such huge promo is only granted to very few.

Pizza Express have also just tweeted... https://twitter.com/pizzajazzclub/statu ... 4985333760 PizzaExpress Jazz‏@pizzajazzclub Will Young 'Jazz Sessions' Performing Rare Intimate Shows in Soho and Birmingham. Tickets go on sale Thursday... http://fb.me/5PpyEiEiW

Hope I'm reading the blurb right, Will’s shows at PizzaExpress represent the next in a rare series of jazz shows, set in unique and intimate venues, following on from two sold-out jazz shows at the 606 Club. Suggests to me there could be more of these intimate gigs but they are just a side project for Will before he returns to his own music. I loved my time at the 606 earlier in the month and anyone going in January is in for a real treat. I'd definitely go again if more are announced later in the year but nothing would delight me more than Will returning to his own music. :D

Following on from the release of Summer Covers, an eclectic mix of fan-favorite jazz covers, Will Young returns to the stage with his incredibly talented band for a rare performance. Speaking about the show Will says “I am so excited to be playing at PizzaExpress! To be able to sing and tell stories, with fantastic musicians in a wonderful space, is all that I could ask for. I hope you, the audience, will enjoy it as much as me and the band!” Ticket includes 3 course meal. willyoung.co.uk Read more ... £150.00 Book now “I am so excited to be playing at PizzaExpress! Since 2002, his career has encompassed multi-platinum albums and sell-out live tours. Beyond popular music, Will has always had a strong passion for jazz. Off the back of his recent fourth UK No.1 album ’85 Proof’, and its accompanying Love Revolution tour, Will released his most recent EP entitled ‘Summer Covers’ - a euphoric, eclectic mix of fan-favourite covers recorded live in Dean Street Studios with the same band line-up from his jazz residency at the legendary British jazz venue the 606 Club, in 2010. Will’s shows at PizzaExpress represent the next in a rare series of jazz shows, set in unique and intimate venues, following on from two sold-out jazz shows at the 606 Club. Alongside some classic jazz standards, he will also perform new adaptations. Also, expect an abundance of funny stories and charming commentary throughout! With no airplay or tv promo the re-release was never going to garner many sales. 85% Proof sold well all things considered.

Decided this needed a new thread. Wow! LafH3j_0Ygc Just watched on my tv.

From the first gig. LafH3j_0Ygc

Wasn't Emeli Sande's album last album released in 2012? Sadly very few modern artists can afford to take any musical break to work on new material. There's such a turn over in the music industry that to stay relevant most artists have to stay on the promo treadmill releasing annually or plugging gaps with re-releases which sadly often stagnates any progression. Snap Olympus hadn't seen your post before I typed mine.

What a treat to hear Will's wonderful unique vocals in such an intimate setting. He looked so at home on the tiny cramped stage with five top notch musicians. The banter between Will and Ben Castle was worth the entrance fee alone.

On my way. :w00t:

Busy day for Will. Here's the Youtube... LIVE NOW.. https://twitter.com/HorseCharity/status ... 1131505664 The 2016 World Horse Welfare Conference will take place on Thursday 10 November at the Royal Geographical Society in London exploring the theme of 'The Invisible Horse'. https://twitter.com/HorseCharity/status ... 1450428416 World Horse WelfareVerified account‏@HorseCharity We are delighted to welcome @willyoung to the stage to discuss the UK's invisible horses https://twitter.com/HorseCharity/status ... 6842811392 World Horse Welfare ‏@HorseCharity Will is a Patron of charity @shiresholt and has a very personal connection to the ponies of Bodmin Moor

The album sales were 87k at the end of 2015 so I would think it won't be too far away from gold but may take a while to trickle sell to that milestone.

Just shows how music keeps selling. The last figure I had for the Essential in 2013 (32k) The last figure I had for ATL is 157k but not sure of the date.

Lovely tweet from the Strictly band. SCD Band @SCDband @willyoung hope all is well brother Will. Love to you from all us lot xx 4:39 PM - 22 Oct 2016

I won't post the latest intrusive pics, where he looks far from happy. Looks like his work commitments in London could be over for now so he's gone to Cornwall. Will YoungVerified account‏@willyoung My Cornish butcher said 'you are home now- we'll look after you' how gorgeous. Life is about love and kindness - to others and oneself

The pic is also on Will's Instagram. willyoungofficial The Here I Am campaign is a great opportunity to make the public notice people with a learning disability, so that they are no longer able to ignore them. People with a learning disability are just like any other member of society and deserve to be heard.
