Tour question
Thank you Lainey, that's really kind of you to offer. I'll be getting the train from work, probably arriving 6 - 6.30ish, so it might be a little too late to meet up for a meal. But I'd probably have time for a few drinks somewhere beforehand, if peeps are somewhere near the venue. I will PM you with my mobile number :D Edit: Have sent PM, and I'm sure I clicked to 'send', but can't see it in the sent folder??? If you don't get it, let me know :)

Tour question
Aww, I'd love to go to the Roundhouse, it sounds like a fab venue! I'm quite tempted to go for one of the spare tickets for the 12th - I'm sure I could blag another day off work somehow :D But I'd be pushing it to make the last train back, and I can't really afford the cost of an overnight stay on my own :( I'm grateful to be going to 2 gigs, but it's not really enough to satisfy the Will craving - I'm sure you all know the feeling! B)

Tour question
Hi Suggy, thanks for the reply! I'm going to Cardiff and Bristol, but both are local-ish so I won't need to stay overnight or anything. But it would be nice to have a glass of wine or two and discuss jodhpurs with fellow Will fans I'd quite like to do the Roundhouse, too, but can only make the 13th and all the tickets I can see are for the 12th. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed that something will turn up. ps - I know what you mean about spotting Will-fans :D I usually travel by train to gigs, and can always spot fellow Will-travellers when I'm waiting at the station, or at a hotel, LOL! There's just 'something', isn't there? ;) Nothing obvious, but just some kinda connection ........

Tour question
Hi peeps, don't know if anyone can help with this - I have tickets (if they ever gets sent!) for a couple of forthcoming gigs and I'll be travelling on my own. Do peeps still meet up anywhere for eats / drinks / Will chat beforehand? There don't seem to be any threads anywhere about meet-ups over the road (nothing doing in 'Get-Togethers' forum). Does this not happen anymore? Does everyone have their own little circle of 'Will friends' now, and nobody bothers meeting new friends / fans? :( If anyone knows of anything, and I'm just not looking in the right place, can you let me know please? Thank you muchly :)

I'm sorry :( I feel thoroughly ashamed of my shallowness now  Of course I love his voice above everything  *slopes off to Youtube to gaze at classic jodhpur action in AIW*

If he wants another old boot to adorn his flat, I'm available - just say the word, Will! Love the new video - although the jacket could have done with being just a tad shorter :naughty: (a little too much coverage of the vital areas, imo) and why on earth only one arse close up? That woman director should be ashamed of herself *shakes head in disappointment*

Will on X Factor. (Now Confirmed) 1st November.
Well I'm glad to be of service in bringing something new to the table, to help fill up the next Will drought. A "Favourite Note from LIG" B&I could certainly keep going a long time - although I don't think anything could top that " seeeeee" ;) Do you want a cheerful (not) thought? If Will follows his pattern of album releases to date, the next album will be in 2012  Time between FNO and FC ....... 1 year Time between FC and KO ......... 2 years Time between KO and LIG ........ 3 years Time between LIG and next ....... 4 years?? I sincerely hope that this pattern is completely random and meaningless. I'm sure it is ......... If not, we could surely spin out a Favourite Note B&I for a few years?

Will on X Factor. (Now Confirmed) 1st November.
Oo-er, you sound very certain Suggy - do you know something? B) The thought of hearing TMTW on the airwaves makes me very excited :cheer: Can you have a favourite note on an album? I think mine has to be " .... I only wanna seeeee.... " I just melt at the way he sings that one word

Will on X Factor. (Now Confirmed) 1st November.
It's not a favourite of mine either, although I don't dislike it. It does seem to be popular with those who prefer the more upbeat numbers, though. :) Hmmm, OK, I'll let him have that as No.3 - as long as he promises to release at least one of those gorgeous ballads (anything from YDK, TMTW, ILEN or Disconnected) afterwards! :D Thouroughly enjoyed the XF performance, btw - a few notes in and I was grinning like a cheshire cat as I realised he was "doing a Will" and pulling an absolute blinder! Next to the PI2 one, it's got to be my all-time favourite TV performance from Will.

Predict the 'Grace' effect on LIG
Wonderful to see LIG climbing back to the Top 10 in the midweeks :yahoo: The X-factor performance was stonking, and although you can never please everybody, I think the overall feedback has been excellent. I'm a very happy bunny that so many people do appreciate the excellence of Grace - and Will certainly deserves all the praise he's had for the magnificent delivery of it on Saturday's XF. That's my boy! :cheer:

Help!!
Phew! All is well again, wooohoooo!! :cheer: Hope everyone else is back in again, too. I was a tad confused, as it wasn't an error message I'd encountered previously on the occasions when the site is down, and I panicked a bit LOL. I thought it might have been a techy problem, and I'm useless at all that stuff. Thank goodness it wasn't!

Help!!
Help!!! I can't get onto Devoted :( I can access the 'Home' page, but when I go to the Forums tab, I get the following message: Error 403: Forbidden You don't have permissions to access this page. This usually means one of the following: * this file and directory permissions make them unavailable from the Internet. * .htaccess contains instructions that prevent public access to this file or directory. Please check file and directory permissions and .htaccess configuration if you are able to do this. Otherwise, request your webmaster to grant you access. I don't understand - this happens before I've even tried to log in, so I can't even look at the News forum. So I don't think it's anything to do with my membership access (at least I hope not!). Has anyone else ever had this message? What does it mean? If anyone has any clues, please help, as I'm going crazy without my daily Will-fix

Predict the 'Grace' effect on LIG
Thank you all for your replies, it's nice to read so many varied and interesting opinions :) I echo what TT has said about the 'freshnness' having been lost - but that's probably my own fault for playing it so much! But it really did make me sit up and go "Wow!!" :w00t: when I first heard it on the T4 show. I hope other non-Will fans feel the same about it. It's not my overall favourite on the album (that honour would go to TMTW, closely followed by ILEN, YDN, and pretty much everything else on there, LOL!). I know it's impossible to ask people what they think would make the best choice of single, because we all love different things. I just want Will to pick the songs that will have the best effect on album sales, which are not necessarily my own personal faves. Having said that, I'm glad that single no.2 is not a ballad because of the fact that the last two releases from KO were ballads and, although nobody does a ballad quite like Will, I do think it's important that the public sees that he's just as good at the more upbeat numbers. But a ballad for single no. 3 would be absolutely fine and, possibly, coinciding with Valentine's Day as discussed elsewhere?? We'd be spoilt for choice, so many beauties to choose from. I think I'd go for YDK, that one really tweaks at the heartstrings. Except that (just musing to myself here) there wouldn't be very much of a gap between nos. 2 and 3, would there? It would have to start getting airplay around mid-January, which is only 6 weeks after Grace is released ....... doesn't seem very long, does it? Anyway, enough ramblings from me. Sorry  It just seems so long since I was able to lose myself in new Will songs, and it feels good! PS. Very much looking forward to the X-factor appearance, btw. I'm not worried about the performance, don't be silly, we're talking about Will - it's what he does best! I just want everything about him to look DDG - hair, outfit, the lot - then I'll be a very happy bunny :D

Predict the 'Grace' effect on LIG
Hi everyone *waves* I'm still around, and absolutely loving Will's 4th baby - what a beauty, doncha think? Grace was the track that had me hooked initially (although it's been overtaken now, LOL) and I was delighted to hear it would be the second single. Who could fail to be impressed, I thought, whilst having happy daydreams at all those people who would be clamouring to get their mitts on LIG However, the doubts have now set in ....... sure, Grace is brilliant - as are all the tracks on LIG. But how will it be received by those outside the bubble? Will it really grab people and make them think " Wow, I'm seeing Will Young in a whole different light - I really must own that album!" Will it really help to shift lots of albums? The trouble is, I've lost all ability to be objective when it comes to Will and his voice. I think his voice is utterly amazing, and don't understand why far more people haven't already rushed out to buy the album. If what they've heard so far hasn't done the trick, will Grace change anything? I'd like to think that Grace will blow people away, because I love it LOL! - what does everyone else think? Will Grace promote LIG more than Changes did and win new fans? Or will it just keep LIG ticking over in the album charts and the public consciousness? I'd love to hear what other people think :)

Tour Pre-sale Wed 2nd July
Hi there Buzzjackers *waves* :D Hope peeps managed to get the tix they wanted, and if not, better luck tomorrow! I don't quite know how it happened, but I somehow managed to get Stalls Row A tickets for Cardiff and Bristol  :yahoo: I was convinced I'd missed out, as the link I followed from the thread over on D took me to the page for Friday's sale :arrr: and was clicking away for about 15 minutes before the penny dropped, and I then had to trawl through the thread in a panic, trying to find the presale link. No chance of anything decent now, I thought, and sure enough all I was getting offered were the higher tiers  But a couple more desperately hopeful attempts and bingo! I thought I was hallucinating when I saw Stalls row A. And my, don't your hands shake like crazy and your brain turn to blancmange when you know that you have a 2 minute stopwatch ticking away, with the prospect of those precious tickets being snatched away at the last second! I have my confirmatory emails, but won't believe it until I have the tickets in my hands. I'll have to check my credit card balance and maybe have a stab at one or two more venues tomorrow. Good luck to anyone else having a go! And maybe I'll bump into some of you at one of the gigs :D

Dreamkatchers feat Will
Oh well ...... guess I'll just have to wait until whatever it is is general news (if it ever is!) Thinking about it ....... I suppose it's nothing to do with the music, if it's in AG (if so, why hide it in there??) which means it must be 'personal' - and maybe I wouldn't be as excited about it as some others might be ;)

Latest news? What's that then, SWF? Sorry if I'm being dense! :D Editing to add: on topic ...... love Teardrops, it's amazing!!

Union Chapel Charity Gig, London.
Sounds like it was a wonderful gig, thanks for the reports and pix :) I would so love to have gone, but wasn't able to. Fingers crossed that the hints about a live recording turn out to be true. LRN, BIOTS and LMF all sound awesome, I'd really love to be able to hear them at some stage. Edit: Youtube clips are fab, thanks BYM&Ms :cheer: Wow, his vocals are amazing!! This reminds me of the old 'raw' Will, but even better ( x 100) . Not that I'm dissing his recent vocal style, I love KO and FC, but THIS is the voice I fell in love with  I'm starting to feel mega-excited about the new album :w00t:

Daily News, Gossip and Chat,, TV,Press,Mags,Radio etc,2
Nice little interview, thanks for posting :) I'm glad that the acting's on the back burner while he concentrates on Album No. 4 - bring on some new music!! :cheer: Glad that he's out partying and having fun too. Not at all concerned about the item that lots of people are 'sad' about - all I can say is "what took you so long, Will??" ;) :P

OS Update (The one we've all been waiting for)
I honestly couldn't give a rat's @rse whether or not any of the winners are regular-posting members of Will's fan-sites or not. I don't want any 'reports' from anyone. I don't care. If I'm not one of the lucky winners fortunate enough to be sitting there gazing at those green eyes and luscious lips in person, why would I want to torture myself by listening to tales from those who were there?? Besides, I don't really 'know' anyone that well on the sites. There are names I can put faces to, after seeing people at concerts many times ......... but only one or two who I would consider a real friend, that I would be genuinely delighted for if they won. As for any other Devoted or OS members, well, congratulations to anyone who does win, have a fab time ....... but I don't really want or need to hear any details. :) And of course Will isn't going to give away anything personal about himself or his work plans. As if!! I really can't understand that anybody would think that some of the the entrants might not be 'genuine' (whatever that is) or 'deserving' enough fans simply because they may or may not be actively posting members on the fan-sites. What the hell difference does that make?? Would they really want to take a day or more off work, paying travel and accommodation costs themselves, just to have a free meal with a pop star they're only marginally interested in? I think not. I think the poster / winner who mentions the negatives about becoming involved in the forums has a point. I used to post a lot more actively on Devoted, and there have been some friendships made, and good times fondly remembered. But, if I'm honest, I've encountered more of the cliqueyness and backstabbing than the warm and fuzzy stuff. It's a political minefield, tbh, and it's easier to stand still and just look around rather than risk making a wrong move and have it blow up in your face. Although only an occasional poster nowadays, I'm still just as devoted a fan of Will as I have been since Day 1, and I'm sure all the winners of the comp are huge fans too. The fact that I don't recognise any of their names at all doesn't make me think that they are any more or less deserving of their place at that table than myself, my friends, or any other fans I've bumped into at gigs. In fact, it makes me far happier to think that the winners will all be people who've never had the opportunity to meet Will before. I sincerely hope this is the case. :)
