B*Witched holding reunion talks
They did have a third album in the pipeline, with a video to be shot in Africa for the 1st single "Where Will You Go", but the deal with Telstar fell through.

The Verve 'split up for third time'
Good riddance, although it means still having to hear that stolen-from-the Rolling Stones-bassline and painful violin-intro that sounds like a mouse being trodden on EVERY time England play on ITV. The drums in that song sound like someone lightly banging a hammer. Seen them in Blackpool and Ashcroft was drunk like a fart, lost all respect for them ever since.

Chelsea Banned From Signing Players Until 2011
Been checking out the interwebs here in Hungary lately, and all I've been hearing in the football world ever since the Gael Chelsea affair, is all these other clubs coming out with "Poaching" this and "poaching players" that. They wouldn't have said anything if Chelsea were not banned, and it's all we're hearing now with other clubs doing the accusing towards others. I thought that's the sort of thing you do to eggs!. It's getting annoying now, just stop it. At least here in Hungary I can simply just keep away from the internet cafes.

Skunk Anansie- "Tear the Place Up"
Skunk Anansie as you may already know have reformed. Their first new project since reforming has been so far recording new tracks for a hits compilation called "Smashes and Crashes". There are three new tracks and this is the first of them to be unleashed. The new video can be seen here, I think the song is damn brilliant, it's like the band never went away. I for one can't wait to see them in Brussels and Paris. You can get the track for free here via the bands official e-card. Their website detailing their reunion tour and mailing list can be seen by clicking here also :).

UK charts set to reflect music gaming downloads
In a way they did thanks to that HORRIBLE Tellytubbies song in 1998!.

Longest time for album to peak?
The Stone Roses debut took a very long time to peak. Originally peaking at #19 in 1989, the album made #8 earlier this century after the Jive issue (original issue was on Silvertone) was being sold for a silly price nationwide.

The top 40 hits that never were!
They're on the same label as Feeder also. Well they WERE.

The top 40 hits that never were!
LOVE that band. Am unsure of what's happening to them now as Echo are no longer a record label.

The top 40 hits that never were!
Marion- "Miyako Hideaway" #45 (1998) r7ER_g3VYBI After the top 10 success of their 1996 debut "This World and Body", the band followed this up two years later with second album "Remote". However, the band failed to sustain their success and this criminally flopped :(.

BLt6wc4_QbQ This one springs to mind also. #56 in 1999

The top 40 hits that never were!
Feeder- "Tracing Lines" (2008)- missed top 75 (download only single) Everyone I've mentioned this to in a general music releated conversation, even if the band are not their cup of tea were like me confused why radio 1 suddenly shunned against the band. Since 1997 every single release was listed with frequent A-listings from 2001-Jan 2005, you would think they'd do the same for "We Are the People" but suddenly ignored it and the rest of the album cos they did not like that track when offered it to play. This meant the single charted at #25 and meant it was doomed for the start for this single. The label knew they'd lose money if they went ahead with the physical release, so made it download only. As Feeder are not very popular in the single-track downloads market it was doomed even more before it's release. I last spoke to frontman Grant in Scarborough about the albums sales, and said to me "Even before it was released the writing was on the wall, we really did not have a label anymore but I'm really proud of it". Btw, in case you're wondering, the random girls playing the keyboard are the make-up artists!. QtrzJdn5eQQ&hl Amb250cv7jw Foo Fighters- Next Year (2000)- 42-OUT What with an amazing video that breaks boundaries and the fact Dave Grohl is a legend, you'd really think even MTV would have to play this and not just your MTV 2's etc. Maybe it was because the band were not fully established in the UK at the time, and so did not just play the songs cos it was by The Foo Fighters and of their worldwide reputation, so went by what they thought of the songs instead. Maybe cos this one was more of a laid-back rock ballad in comparison to "Learn To Fly", "Breakout" and "Generator" which were the first three singles?. Whatever the reason it was a waste not to play it and see it flop like this :(. Embedding has been disabled on youtube, so here's the video link:- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_vdBucj5nM

the RECOMEND-A-TRACK thread
As long as you like it, that's all that matters at the end of the day :D. Every track on Geneva's two albums were brilliant, I'd love them to reform.

the RECOMEND-A-TRACK thread
Don't mock Go West!!, they were pretty damn good, the self-titled album from 1985 is one of my guilty pleasures!!. Anyways, here's a few of my fave golden oldies, so what if Feeder are not on the same level as some of these bands the media hype and radio 1 play to death. As long as Feeder are making enough profits to make more and more albums, and selling enough gig tickets to put food on the table, and continue to make music that I love, I'm happy, charts-schmarts!. "Sometimes the whole point of being into indie music is that you don't want your favourite bands to get big, you want them to be your own little secret. Who wants trendies high jacking our music, eh?"- youtube comment on Geneva's "Best Regrets" video. First up, Feeder's top 40 debut from 1997. w5k6F2kRkOI Suede- Animal Nitrate (1993) XaEc_5abpfA Geneva- "Best Regrets" (1997) NMIfugHop94

Culture Secretary calls for the return of a Top Of The Pops
PPFFFTTT!!!!, bring back the ITV Chart Show!!, and it was the beginning of the end for TOTP when they switched it to Fridays just because of the Atlanta 1996 olympic coverage, and said they would change it back to Thursday afters, but never did, this meant a major ITV soap getting in the way, I do have a lot of happy memories watching the show late at night after coming back from the pubs tho, as I couldn't see it on Friday evenings. I remember in August 1999, they shown it on Thursday once, and that was when they did that TOTP tour in which each week it would be from a different city/town. If it does come back, make sure it's on for an hour like the European counterpart.

Lily Allen refutes designer clothes 'ban'
Stupid person, her fans arn't that bad tho, apart from ONE OF THEM!!!. That's Heltzer Skeltzer from chc media, love to make a thread on here so we can all make fun of him, alongside his mate and fellow internet bully Maximo Mark!!!. The same thing can be said about Maximo Park and their fans being okay, apart from one person with that being him!!. Seriously, the grief those pair gave me is unforgiveable, and it felt so good keeping away from them and saying good riddance, but I definetly miss Caz and Jonathan (Foxtrot) on there, they're sound and friendly people :).
