Billboard's Pan-European Charts - October 6
It's dreadful British music is being advertised worldwide with the use of James Blunt, it makes it looks as if he's the best we have to offer when he's just a background dinner party artist. Reminds me of primary school days- as we walked into assembly they played classical music for us to listen to, when we all spoke amongst ourselves ignoring it!.

Champions League Midweek Thread
i was REALLY REALLY peeved off when United won. I was watching the Barca-Lyon game on HRT 2 in Croatia and split the screen in half to show the Rangers penalty. As it disappeared I could see these players in red shirts hugging each other with "BROWN" written on the back of one of the shirts, I knew what happened. Then it cut back and shown the goal, how effing jammy!!!!, and to make it worse that cheating winker scored agianst his old club. He didn't need to dive at it to head it in, he could have just headded it normally, but no he had to show off cos he's Christano Ronaldo and plays for that team who always play in red and are otherwise known as "The Red Scum". The way the players were hugging chrunching their red shirts was sickening, the Man Utd shirt is cr@p- just a red top with AIG on it!!. I hope that little winker gets convicted for his aleged stamp on a fan, he's a disgrace to football, fair play and Portugal. No wonder why his wikipedia article is always being vandalised and locked.

That show is even worse. And that group singing the Starship song was even worse than "Strictly Come Dancing". Why do people like that show!!!!?, it's c**p and Bruce Forsyth is past his sell-by-date.

German TOP 100 Singles/Albums Charts, 2007/36 - 31.08.2007
What was the chart run for Beatsteaks "Limo Messiah" please? :), all i know is that it made #3 in the first week. I see they don't chart singles high and only sell albums. Seen them at Frequency in Salzburg a few weeks ago, and thought they were pretty good, so I'm going to see them in London in October. Heard a whole album thanks to my Austrian friend last year.

BBC's Reading/Leeds coverage verdict?
How bad was this!!?, last year it was really good, we had sets from both sites and the stage coverage was evenly ballanced, but this year it's been a big comedown. 1) No sets from Leeds unlike last year, the closest we got to this was Edith Bowman talking to Colin Murray late at night wearing the same coat, with the same backdrop holding a microphone reporting on the days events. Was at Reading last year, and looked at the broadcasted sets on youtube when I returned. 2) Hardly any full sets, and Smashing Pumpkins was a rip-off- only 3 songs with only one extra one on the BBC website even though they were headliners. 3) Too many highlights from the tent stages. 4) Dodgy camerawork that gave me a headache during The Gossip. I thought the camerawork on TOTP when Feeder were performing "Shatter" was bad enough. 5) Hyping on and on all week about Billy Corgan and his acoustic guitar on 1979, yet we never seen this. Agreements, disagreements and/or anything else to add? :).

A lot of big releases for quarter 4
The last two Westlife singles were comparative low-performers, so I wouldn't be suprised if the album undersells.

Greek Charts - Week 33
Good to see a Finnish band who are not goths for a change! :), the Sunrise Avenue song is pretty good!!!. Was a #1 in Slovakia.

Chart Commentary from James Masterton 23/07/07
Whatever you think of the record, however annoying it is to hear tinnily on the back of a bus or on the uninspired playlists of Local FM and however much you may curse the way the title of the song has unwittingly echoed the miserable British summer, there is no escaping the fact that to outsell every other track available for ten straight weeks is nothing less than a phenomenal achievement. It is now officially the longest running Number One of the century and its ten week total is now the longest since Wet Wet Wet clocked up 15 weeks with 'Love Is All Around' in 1994. All very well and good, but "there is no escaping the fact", that's it's c**p!.

If 'Umbrella' had never been released...
The second one, as there would have been more variety!!.

BEST-Sellers WorldWide 2006,2007,2008
Looking at this business report of 2006 from Chrysalis records, Feeder's singles album has shipped 500,000 copies, the report didn't say worldwide or in the UK alone. http://www.chrysalis.com/investor_reports_...ss%20Review.pdf The same figure you posted on your site, so I believe these estimations are near to correct :).

My Chemical Romance - Teenagers
Yeah, at least it don't sound as if it's cut up from separate recordings and stuck together like everything else they've done!.

My Chemical Romance - Teenagers
The song was annoyingly stuck in my head. Why they're selling well with the album baffles me.
