Razorlight - America
But the This Mortal Coil song is a classic, only made the top 75 in the 80's but is a cult classic. Spent ages on the indie chart too. It's up on youtube, usually the first thing that comes up after you type the band name in, not really a band tho- more of a side project of all the artists on the 4AD roster at the time. The song was originally by Tim Buckley.

Razorlight - America
Yup, found it the other day just to see what the fuss the NME is making about it. The video is just as bad as the song, how the Delorean at the end gets all smashed up isn't explained.

Razorlight - America
When the guitars go all quiet it sounds like a poor mans version of "Song To The Siren" by This Mortal Coil, and when it tries to go all upbeat it sounds abysmal.

The Ordinary Boys
I only knew about the diary entry after seeing it being mentioned on another forum of another band.

and what exactly does "Brassbound" mean!!?. c**p name, c**p band, c**p album.

A beautiful song
Great band, but that should have stayed off the album. The keyboard sounds as if someones playing on a zylophone all microphoned up, or some cheap instrument from Argos is bring played. It ruins the song totally.

what is snow patrols next single
Hopefully "Eyes Open" as a video was shot for the US release.

Suggestions for new chart rules
After taking a few factors into consideration such as downloaded tracks that are paid for and are not recognised in the chart due to the physical counterpart rule, and the deletion rule, I have thought of these rules: 1) As soon as an online downloads vendor releases a track as a single bundle, or as a single track download (not as part of the album), the download will count toward the chart, and if downloaded from the album if it's on one, it'll still count as long as the vendor are also offering it as a separate download or separate download bundle package. 2) Failing the confusion in the previous rule, the OCC could instead change the number of weeks a download can count before physical release from 1 to 4. This allows as many downloads as possible to count towards the chart. 3) To prevent the chart being clogged up with album tracks, which can and will be a nightmare if it happens, the vendors can only offer the albums as bundles and not allow the users to download individual ones instead. This way only tracks being advertised as singles will be able to be downloaded. Suggestions welcome please! :).

Your favourite number 1 of 2006 so far?
Orson definetly, the others I don't like or are below par of the acts standards.

Your Least Favourite Number 1 of 2006?
McFly all the way!, they ruined that Queen song, and the other A side to the single is typical McFly dross!!.

echo and the bunnymen
They're totally brilliant, still going on now despite their following being reduced to a mere cult again. Is their biggest album "Porcupine"?, cos that one reached #2 in the album charts, and I don't think they're topped the charts yet.

The Ordinary Boys - Lonely at the Top
Top 30 I think, if not top 10 and a quick drop-out. Not many fanbase sales based bands go in the top 10 albums these days, but seem to do the same in the singles, or got top 20 with a quick fall-out. Gone off Ordinary Boys now,and it seems appeal is pretty low as a band anyway, as "Brassbound" only sold something like 110,000, good for someone who is little-known or a newcomer, but for a band who are all over the papers, it's quite a let-down.

Embrace NOT splitting up
They've had ups and downs in their career in terms of album sucsess, but deserve to go on for a lot more longer :). I'm going to see them the week after next, if it's one of the last shows they'll do, it should be one of their best.

Embrace NOT splitting up
There's the impression in there that they don't want to upset the fans, and therefore not tell us directly, but just seem to be hinting at it :( :( :(.
