Lily Allen refutes designer clothes 'ban'
Stupid person, her fans arn't that bad tho, apart from ONE OF THEM!!!. That's Heltzer Skeltzer from chc media, love to make a thread on here so we can all make fun of him, alongside his mate and fellow internet bully Maximo Mark!!!. The same thing can be said about Maximo Park and their fans being okay, apart from one person with that being him!!. Seriously, the grief those pair gave me is unforgiveable, and it felt so good keeping away from them and saying good riddance, but I definetly miss Caz and Jonathan (Foxtrot) on there, they're sound and friendly people :).

Sunday Chart Predictions
That's what happened to Feeder's "Silent Cry" album- the first single only spent a week on the top 75 with a peak of number 25, and I knew a short chart life was going to happen to the album as a result, even though a certain person on here I do not want to embaress tried winding me up over it on another forum by posting *Sniggers* due to the 8-25 drop in the mids at the time     , and somebody else posted the second week midweek placing just to stir up trouble (even though nobody requested it).

'British Hit Albums' Book - 2009
Just been wondering (even though it looks unlikely I'll ever buy this "new" edition), when did Guinness first start publishing a top 500 of all-time in their book? :).

What's happened to Travis these last five years!!?, multi-Brit award winners, two number one million-selling albums, and then all of a sudden the public no longer want to know!?.

It did!, and the German version went top 10 in their homeland. They had other hits in Germany and all in English, but did not last very long. Over there they were known as Band Ohne Name- The Band With No Name, with their European BON name being simply initials.

Surprise Hits that never saw coming
Feeder- "Buck Rogers"- After ten single releases and two EP's alongside two albums, it looked like this band would be destined to stay as a top 30 singles act with blink-or-you-might-miss-it top ten albums, and low billings on the Reading/Leeds main stages. All of a sudden they launched this supposedly daft rock song which shockingly infected the Radio 1 A-list (I love the song, but was expecting another number 20-30 hit and a B-listing), and the band suddenly shot into mainstream radio awareness, with appearances on virtually every TV show in existence. The single made the top 5, and they became the popular British rock band they are today, despite somewhat odd snubs by the radio 1/2 playlist controllers, which seen 2008 album "Silent Cry" become an undeserved relative sales bomb :(. Wiley- "Wearing My Rololex"- After a series of singles charting at positions like number 46, and many others below the top 40, it became a sudden suprise he charted at number 2 with this song. Snow Patrol- "Run"- Between 1997-2003 this band looked destined to be criminally ignored. Three albums both falling short of the top 75 by a long mile, and a batch of singles all with three figure chart placings, it looked like this band would be doomed to small toilet venues forever. However they had an ace up their sleeves, and suddenly caught radio controllers attention, and then the public's with this heart felt single which I still think is their best, that charted in the top 5 and it all went on from there, turning "Final Straw" from an undeserved flop, into a million seller. I bought the album in 2003, and never thought people would pick up on this song.

Elbow Win Mercury Prize
The only track on this album that is any good is "Grounds For Divorce", the track sticks out like a sore thumb amongst the rest. I did own this album, based on PS's 9/10 review, but sold it soon after. Even if this album was a steaming hot pile of $h!t, it would still get rave reviews. Why on earth goes Guy Harvey in the GFD video repeatedly bang on the table a pint glass of beer EVERY TIME the chorus kicks in!!?.

"Blackened Sky" is a brilliant album, "57" is one hell of a song. They should mix it up between the albums, so you get like 4 from the debut, 4 from the 2nd album, 4 from the 3rd and 4 from the 4th. Feeder balance it really nicely, even though they do get complaints for playing the mainstream hits too much. They responded in 2005 to this, and played a few songs from "Swim", only for the aggression in the vocal work to mess up Grant's vocal cords and get bleeds on them, resulting in the tour being postponed, and going back to the original "predictable" setlists to stop this from happening while he was still recovering. Biffy on the other hand, should like I say assort it a bit, even tough "Puzzle" is the recent album, they should promote the older stuff to fans who got into them through that album. They didn't even play the "Folding Stars" at Liverpool Academy, nor did they even play a lot of stuff from "Vertigo of Bliss".

Prolly my 5th fave song by Biffy. Many fans complain that at live gigs they mainly play songs from "Puzzle", but in my eyes that's their best album. really nice guys when I briefly met them at an HMV signing in Liverpool also!.
