I remember Infernal's "From Paris to Berlin" doing really well on downloads cos of all those mixes, these days that sort of novelty will not be so popular.

In 2005 physical sales in the top 20 were quite level with downloads, with physical sales only just edging out in the top 10. Will be interesting to see what the stats are for 2007 :). It's not right seeing physical singles fade away tho :(, will be really missing the days I used to rush out into town buying the latest Feeder single at the time :(. Won't be the same sitting at a computer clicking on the "Download" button on iTunes.

Yeah, as long as an album sells enough copies to keep the label happy, that's all that matters. Same with Feeder, they've broken into the mainstream (only with lower record sales than Will), and made a lot of money for themselves and the label. This year I think it's more of a time for them to sit back, enjoy fatherhood and enjoy writing and performing music live with no worries about charts and record sales, but also keep Mr Echo Label/EMI or Mr Pinnacle happy by selling amounts what is aimed and expected for by the label :). I'm looking forward to it already :), and the album is going to be brilliant, loads of electric strings on it too.

Well, it depends where it charts in comparison to her others :).

Funkybottom should be on there, but they'll prolly won't be as they will not be releasing an album and possibly just a few download only tracks, as it's after all a Feeder instrumental side project that's just for fun.

Good thing too, but they should realise there's other types of guitar musicians out there who are not indie, and play them a lot as well.

Holloways did chart pretty well tho :).

The Kooks album will reach number one, but will sell poorly in comparison to the debut, and therefore be branded a flop.

God, all it takes is one x-factor performance, while you lot are forgetting about her, and it's "I love Leona" this, "I love Leona" that. If she didn't make that appearance, all this tripe wouldn't have happened and you would have moved onto the next Cowell/Syco puppet. I can't see her surviving if she takes Will Young's route, by doing her own thing and snubbing Cowell.
